Can you compare Oromo with another Ethiopian Cushitic language Konso/Sidamo/Hadiyya they sound more similar and share many words. We are more of smooth earthy sounding Cushitic languages. Somali is more similar to Afar/Rendille which is more of a guttural throaty sounding Cushitic languages. It’s similiar to the sound of Semitic languages, and could be because they live on the coast and experienced trade/interactions with Yemen and other Arabs. It’s also similar to Rendille but Rendille has more of a smoother sound. While Oromo, Konso, Sidamo, Hadiyya are central inside Ethiopia. All Cushitic languages have a root that we came from so we share a lot. But some are closer to others. It’s very cool to see the similarities between Affaan Oromo and Af Somali, thank you.
you made a mistake by saying that Oromic is the most spoken language in Ethiopia after Amharic. That is not true. It is the most spoken in the country over than 50 million people speak the language
Well, for one, the languages, even though related, split potentially around 3000-4000 years ago, if not a little more. And two, somewhere around 30 to 40% of the Somali lexicon is Arabic-derived words.

Please video about Proto-Cushitic language.
Great video duo thanks for sharing.
I know Oromo and Somali are both Cushitic languages but I didn't know they shared so many vocabularies. Peace to our Cushitic brothers, Somalis.

Currently looking for a Kosraean volunteer. :)
Nice video!!

Could you make Taiwanese Chinese and Japanese?

That would actually be dope.

You misspelled Oromo 10; should be "kudhan", not "khudan".
But thanks for including this comparison!
interesting how the oromo for 10 « kudhan » also means « comeplete/d » in somali
the cushitic languages of Southern Somalia (like Maay) compared to Somali, please
you mean af-maay vs af maxatiri they are both somali.

Oromos are not natives to Somalia 🇸🇴
Oromians are Ethiopians!
Please compare Somali and Rendille, then Oromo and Afar
Somali is closer to Rendlille and Afar than it is to Oromo

How similar are these languages?
I understood zero percent of oromo apart from the numbers, why is it so unintelligible compared to Somali?

😂 Oromo language is close to people of Omo in Kenya and Ethiopia not kushitic. Cush is ancient Egyptian language and they have no similarities.
