Tbh this is why girl and boy groups exist and are so popular. Ori would have been criticized but it would have been ok if she was part of a group. There are often people in groups who lack in different areas and that's ok they still get criticized but not so badly. Independent singers are often at IU/Ailee levels.

After watching the infamous performance, I didn't see someone without looks or talent but instead saw a poor girl who was wildly underprepared for her stage debut. This is the fault of the company who debuted her without giving her adequate training in singing, dance, confidence & overall stage presence. I feel bad for her as there was no good reason to debut her so unnecessarily young and it must have been incredibly hard for her to cope with netizens hate & ridicule when she was basically just a child.

  • @MiniLinlin
    @MiniLinlin 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +28

She literally was so cute. Somehow I think maybe she'd have fit the J-idol image more? I think so because with J-idols, it's quite loveable to see someone who may not have all of the "perfect" skills get better as time goes on. Either way, I think people were too harsh on her live performance.

  • @Edelkrone_girl

Hey company was clearly a rookie company because they debuted her without proper training and on the same day as IU, who is one of the strongest soloist and singers. Oh, I remember reading about this.
I hope she is doing better now.
I mean yep, don't bully literal children but also stop debuting them. So many lessons that just keep getting ignored.
Poor girl. If you could actually hear idols sing live unedited nowadays, most wouldn't always sound perfect either. And that's normal and fine! Most of them are dancing their asses off! Nothing to be ashamed of, even the best singers in the world will succumb to nerves sometimes.
Plus as people have said, she'd get way more of a pass if she fit the insane beauty standard.
The image of perfection that kpop is constantly trying to project is getting to a stage where it's completely exhausting. Not just for the idols but for fans too.
I've been a fan so long and seeing the industry turn slowly into the monolith it is now is both amazing and disheartening.
It might be time for another kpop hiatus for me 😂

I really miss this kind of videos from KOOKIELIT, the ones where she talks about actual news. Some videos recently have seemed like very low-effort or just recycling old news for the sake of making a video for views. I really wish nothing but the best for Ori. Did she deserve to be in the spotlight with lacking talents at the time? Probably not, but all the hate was so unnecessary and very disrespectful towards the 14 year-old girl. I hope she is happy now and can live her life comfortably.

14 is a very young age and they're still learning to face the cruel world. Yet her company just debut her when she wasn't fully ready to face the harsh reality of entertainment industry especially K-pop. I see a lot of small companies do that and they seems just wanna make money and not for the sake of their artist. When something gone wrong, they blamed the artist, not themselves. In her case, she likes singing and her company let her sings. That opportunity is gold and I would grab that too if someone give me a green light. But they need to take things into consideration. For example, they have to train her in singing and dancing really well. They need to ask some experts and show her skills to evaluate her. After she masters everything that she needs to be a K-pop singer, she can debut successfully. But they literally ignore that and they think it's good enough for their company. As a result, she was the one getting hate and blamed for not being ready. It's sad. She looks cute, humble and has a good personality and manner. She could do it but her company is inexperienced and do her real dirty. Anyone can dream and become ambitious. She was like us when we're young. I hope after her revelation, she can finally breath and come out of her sadness and painful past and be happy.

I can only blame the agency. The industry is a cut-throat industry and it is not easy to get a spot on a music bank, so of course people have high expectations on the idols who are performing on the show. So when Ori, an unknown hopeful idol performed there, and she did not meet an expectation, did you seriously expect people would be kind to her? They of course will think that the spot should be given to someone else who can do much better than her.
This is music bank, a National level music show, that we are talking about. Not just a school performance where people just cheer on all mediocre talents and performance. You have to meet certain standards to appear on National music show (especially in the older days when there are not that many shows) and of course people get angry when the spot was given to a less deserving idols regardless of their age. Don't let her sing on music bank when she is too young to handle the pressure and not ready yet.

I’m happy she resurfaced. I wish she kept pursuing her idol career. Korean netizens prefer anorexic girls. Look what happened to Pristin’s Kyla. Even the own fandom ignored her and gave her hate…

Let's say she is a bad singer, so what? those who criticized her.. have ya'll thought for once how it feel like literally bullying someone this young? have you thought about how hurt she would get? have you thought if it was YOU who had that debut, what it would make you feel? I think SHE is much more brave to decide to became an idol & also to return after 16 years, she is more brave than me & you dear reader.

Korean Netizen is so toxic and cruel. I wonder who are they? Healthy and happy people or those who are unhappy about their lives so they put those hatred and pressure on the celebrities.

I would understand if you will criticize the performance alone but to comment on her face speaks volumes on which idols you prefer. Those with visuals only over talent.
