- Stardew Valley is usually very calming, but today we're going deep inside the Skull Caverns for a tutorial on how to climb down deep-- without ever using an Iridium Pickaxe or Bombs! Can I make it to Floor 100 of Skull Caverns?

Since you gave yourself the provision that you can build staircases if you have enough stone in your inventory, you should also be allowed to build a bomb when you're soft locked at the entrance. It just makes equal amount of sense to me, considering the original rules of the challenge presented were to just not have a bunch of staircases or bombs to go down the skull caverns but you allowed yourself to build staircases when you really needed them 😂.
thought the same thing. dont know if that would make it to easy, but at least you should be allowed to use the bombs the monsters drop.
I agree. I think using bombs dropped from enemies would be too "easy" (not that this challenge is easy lol) but as you said crafting bombs feels fair
he didn't say staircases as a rule, he just said he isn't going to bring staircases

The thing is bombs are MUCH easier to farm up, I mean I can farm enough for 5 bombs on one floor, then the challenge is moot. Staircases on the other hand need a large amount of stone to craft, more than can be gathered on one floor alone even with a pick and bombs.
He specifically stated that he couldn’t use bombs but only said he couldn’t bring staircases in with him.

The pain of being blocked from progressing by rocks at the start of a floor due to being unable to break them thanks to a self-imposed challenge is extremely unique and specific, yet I'm able to empathize wholeheartedly. Really impressed to see how far you were able to make it in the end!

i love how these styles of videos ask if the creator can complete the challenge, usually meaning they did, but we can always count on seanie to prove the stereotype wrong

As someone who basically only uses the napalm ring to cave dive, this is hilarious. “Oh my god this is going so well!” *surprised pikachu*
It’s the best ring in the game, it makes the Qi mines trivial. Qi levels + monster musk means I use my pickaxe once every dozen floors or so, especially if I have the vampiric enchant because then the monsters are destroying the rocks and healing me simultaneously.
I combined the napalm ring and slime charmer ring so now finding ladders is easy
83 is absolutely further than i've gotten just going at it normally. this is absolutely bonkers, in the best way possible

I'm pretty sure you can clean up a little bit the strategy, even if you get a stair you should probably kill enemies that are close and don't cost much time, since you could get a shaft and also get more stone that way

Man the napalm ring is one of my favs (I'm awful with a slingshot so bombs and the napalm ring are my go-tos for cave diving) glad to see it getting some love here
Challenge should be “how far can I make it in Skull Caverns with only what I get from inside” only items you can bring in with you are food, coffee, your weapon of choice, and whatever “accessories” are equipped
This was nice to listen to while running skull caverns myself

lol this is kind of just how i run skull caverns normally 😅 i love setting up the enemies in good spots to use as bombs

Skull caverns are super tricky to be fair!! Take lots of high energy & health foods, good weapons, bombs, and honestly? I did the skull cavern quests with staircases and came back late game after forging and enchanting my Galaxy weapons to get stuff to work towards perfection
Bro, I recommend savings all your jades and rubies for trading them for staircases and spice eals on the desert. And bringing a lot of bombs

Cool idea in theory but you can’t activate the community center when it’s raining :(( so unless he was able to stop the rain for one day or it’s automatically unlocked it’s not really possible
@@cactusyu1584 Maybe instead use a mod to get a huge stack of rain totems? That way you can just not use one on the day you unlock the community center
The rings I usually have on/with me are a luck ring mixed with a iridium band, a luck ring mixed with a slime charmer ring, a luck ring mixed with the Phoenix ring, and a burglar ring mixed with a napalm ring, I use the iridium band/luck one plus the burglar ring/napalm, then once I start getting really low on health I swap to Phoenix/luck and /slime charmer/luck, and I have a vampiric infinity sword, so you'll be pretty much safe no matter what, plus I bring like 400 blackberries/Salmon berries

as a beginner at skull caverns I knew you needed bombs and staircases and buffs so on my first try at skull caverns I got it to floor 83

You should've taken monster musk and made one of the extra galaxy hammers into a fully upgraded artful hammer So you could use that one for almost everything and then the original one just for bugs

The Napalm Ring by itself can kill mummies because they explode as soon as they "Die", you don't really need to enchant any weapon for that
I have only the Napalm Ring on a Dragontooth Shiv and kinda realized by complete chance that they die when they are killed
Edit: Ignore everything I've said, after the mummy didn't explode on the video and somehow I have the Crusader enchantment on my weapon and completely forgot about that

So what are the tips us average players don't know? I noticed you opening the menu at the start of every floor - is that just to get your bearings, or is it a time save in some other way?
In the mines/caverns, time continues ticking during the black screen when you move between floors. In singleplayer, you can prevent this by pausing right as you ladder down. For normal players the amount of time saved is probably negligible, but if you stretch this out to the max and have literal hundreds of staircases, you can get a day in game to last several hours in real life, as opposed to approximately 20 minutes. Hope that helps!

Why are you using a normal slingshot? You could be dealing double the damage with a master slingshot

Hey do you know if it is possible to complete cc + missing bundle without ever upgrading your house? I haven't seen anyone try this challenge
The only thing you'd need the house for is to cook, which you can bypass with a cookout kit from leveling foraging.
Edit: actually I forgot about the aged wine. There isn't any way to get aged wine outside of using casks in the cellar so it wouldn't be possible.

WHY? WHY CAN I ONLY GET TO FLOOR 8 WITH 35 CHERRY, REGULAR, AND MEGA BOMBS, AND LUCKY LUNCHES WITH MY GALAXY HAMMER BUT MAKES IT TO 83 WITH ONLY A HAMMER
Check daily luck, if it's not a pyramid or a star drop then stairs/holes will spawn rarely, it does effect the game that much so you should Def check for that + buy stairs with jade st the desert trader :)

Mummies arent really unkillable, you just need bombs to kill them, which you challenged yourself not to use so i guess you do need the special weapon 😂
What does the chair do?
You can use a chair to bypass certain blockages by strategically placing it, sitting on it and hopping off the chair on the other side

I know! I always play DF or SeanieDew while going to the mines/skull caverns. It makes it a lot less stressful, since I get scared of skull caverns.

But .. basically you did used bombs... because of the explosion the weapon does... when the enemy dies... So basically 30 seconds in already failed... O.o
No, that's not the same as using bombs.
