This is a pretty good metaphor for what it's like to live with a disability (physical or mental). Something most players take for granted is now a task in and of itself, and that drastically changes how you have to think about every other thing you do in your play through, down to simple and mindless tasks like refilling watering cans.
you can influence the direction in which trees fall when you stand in front of them while chopping them down. If you stand more to the left, they will fall to the right and vice versa. it always works.
Stardew valley but you lose energy by interacting with people. So when you receive letters, talk to someone, fullfil fetch quests, gifting, buying or selling in stores. Challenge is to get as many friends as possible in one year
This is basically what it's like living with chronic fatigue. You have to optimize every step if you're going outside and want to get things done. Def hard mode
Obviously it's funnier as is, but I think for a more reasonable challenge, walking shouldn't drain your energy once you are sluggish. You still wouldn't be able to do any work, but you could at least walk home or to the saloon or the spa without passing out
Here a trick you should know: You can actually know in which direction the tree will fall. If you are more on the left side, it will fall on the right and vice versa.
You know you can make trees fall in a certain way when youre underneath them by hitting them in the opposite direction to where you want them to go. So like if youre underneath a tree and want to make it fall right, put your mouse on the bottom left side of it and cut it there and it will go right. it was successful for me too often for it to be a coincidence
do get one cc bundle without walking u start by just sleeping till day 5 go to mines and then the challenge beggins no preparing or planting or nothing before u get the sword or any other way of moving
I play on 25% profits and a hunger mod, so much so that the game feels ridiculously easy and overpowered if I don't. I would LOVE to play with this mod if it drained energy when running, but not when walking. The hunger mod already makes energy almost meaningless since you need a couple good meals just to keep your hunger meter down, so this would keep energy meaningful later on, and make constant grueling 20-hour workdays much rarer. As they should be. EDIT: Even better if sitting or going into bed (in single player) also slowly healed.
There’s a glitch at least on the switch where you don’t need a mod for this and the very first time I ever played it did that and I was like “forget this stupid game I can’t even walk across the town” and I didn’t try to play again for a whole year :)
Ok so this is a tip that not a lot of people know so when you’re in front of the tree where it doesn’t disappear it falls to the right and when you’re behind it where it does disappear it will fall to the left. Enjoy this lovely tip👍
You know, you can just edit your original comment instead of making 3 more, right? Also if you do 4:57 (or any other time in the video), then people will be less confused why you said that. They can just listen to the youtuber rescite the question again.
One thing I disliked in Natsume Harvest Moon: One World was that walking/running DID take stamina. Why would you intentionally add that tedious, dumb feature into a game that never had it? XD
finally, a stardew mod where i can have the same chronic fatigue as real life
Stardew Valley, but you actually have the stamina of an office worker
You take one step and pass out
@@Redshaw-w3o you wake up and pass out
@@linzihan you wake up, pass out, and turn into a ghost
@@Placerhold that's called death?
Drinking coffee now actually make you did faster 💀
"I'd like to wake up non-exhausted tomorrow, if that's at all an option" omg I've never felt so seen
Every step loses stamina
Me who constantly runs around while waiting for a shop to open: *sweats nervously*
That sweat might just be sweat from losing energy.
Imagine what the villagers think! Harvey must be worried sick about your health if you pass out almost everyday XD

Does that make living with a disability a challenge run?

imagine trying to finish the entire cc with these restrictions
should I try it?

I'm pretty sure it even works if your under (or above) it and you put the cursor over either side of the tree
This is a really good mod for understanding chronic fatigue/spoon theory-
Stardew valley but you lose energy by interacting with people. So when you receive letters, talk to someone, fullfil fetch quests, gifting, buying or selling in stores. Challenge is to get as many friends as possible in one year
I don't know if this would be possible but energy removed for social cannot be regained by food. As for introverts it just takes time.
This is basically what it's like living with chronic fatigue. You have to optimize every step if you're going outside and want to get things done. Def hard mode
Obviously it's funnier as is, but I think for a more reasonable challenge, walking shouldn't drain your energy once you are sluggish. You still wouldn't be able to do any work, but you could at least walk home or to the saloon or the spa without passing out
or like if only running drained energy since you can walk even when you aren't sluggish
"i would like to wake up nonexhausted tomorrow" youve never been more relatable lmao
Here a trick you should know:
You can actually know in which direction the tree will fall. If you are more on the left side, it will fall on the right and vice versa.
Omg, it's my perfect chronic fatigue simulator!
Okay but this was a really fun watch. Hopefully more of this!
This challenge is the 1 time the well would be useful
I chose river farm on my main so that wouldn't be inconvenient lmao
Chronic fatigue/pain, depression, and probably others... Finally, some representation
not me using this video as an example of what living with chronic fatigue is like /j//j/j
I love these lil challenges! So many ways to make the game more creative
This sounds like a fun challenge ngl; I think it would’ve been a cool mechanic to even implement, though in smaller increments
I was kinda hoping you'd name the cat Little Foot lol
Same! That or bigpaw lol
This challenge is so much fun to watch! You should try to do the whole community center :D
"We might pass out again today"
But the day just started 😂😂 its only 7:40am
Chopping in front of a tree, the tree will fall right. It is the opposite direction from the back.
Chair hack! Use the chair like you can to get into the secret woods but just to move throughout the town
Like using a wheelchair! 👨🦽
loved all of this! would def enjoy a pt two:)
This was such a joy to watch, I really hope you make a part two. I love your videos!
Im here like ''why didnt he used a chair to travel, does it count has walking?'' I think its doable by abusing the chair XD
What chair ?
Chair jumping lmaoo
Helpful tip, whichever side of the tree you are hitting most, it will fall the opposite way, chop from the left it falls to the right
Stardew Valley, but you have depression and it's realistic
"OMG! The exit was right there! So much energy WASTED!"
- Me when I finally left my customer service job
Stardew Valley but you have the energy of someone who has chronic fatigue syndrome
Such smooth and pleasant edition on the bundles, good job.
stardew valley chronic fatigue edition
ive been especially enjoying your videos lately :) you're very entertaining
Stardew Valley, but it's my life
Half of the time I just could not focus on anything but that moo-stache :-D
stardew valley chronic illness challenge
This challenge hit too close to home for me lol, this is basically my life :')
Aw there's no part 2 to this? I wanted to see if you could beat your goal!
When he said fishing for energy i literally forgot that fishing takes energy😂
I feel like a good addition to this mod would be you regain energy slowly from sitting
Make it so you lose energy whenever you talk to someone and you just have a simulation of my life.
"Every step you take, every move you make..."
Please revisit this challenge and attempt it using 1.6.9 features!
you’ve just turned sdv into harvest moon 😭
i got very mad every time he didn't go back to the farmhouse and lay in bed for a few hours to regain energy lol
That only works in multiplayer
Thats a multiplayer only feature
Stardew mod explains chronic illness
Fr if people find this hard in SV imagine how hard it is in real life :')
I think you can control which side the trees fall, if you chop more on the left, it will fall to the right, and the other way around
You know you can make trees fall in a certain way when youre underneath them by hitting them in the opposite direction to where you want them to go.
So like if youre underneath a tree and want to make it fall right, put your mouse on the bottom left side of it and cut it there and it will go right.

Sweet Jesus last time I came here you had 1k subscribers, nice job.
it's all thanks to your lovely support
for some reason this is how I thought stardew valley worked when I first started playing
same i was really confused when i checked the numbers and they were still max after walking lol
You should make it so running costs energy. But walking doesn't
Stardew valley: spoonie edition
Chronic pain simulator
Imagine being an npc in this situation . Just minding your own business when someone just passes out In front of you.
The way he pronounces "expenditure" is killing me ugh
Is this a mod we can download? Is it modifiable? I reckon it'd be good if it was like 1 energy every 30 steps or something instead.
The puns keep coming.... MAKE HIM STOP ! 😀

The side the tree falls to actually depends on the opposite side of the tree you are at more
