I’ve been enjoying your podcasts- the sweaters you’ve knit are beautiful! So far, I’ve only knit two sweaters- love note and Nuuk. I've knitted since I was a child, but I'm still learning so many new things. I have to say the way you talked about the cumulus tee made me really want to try it, i-cord I haven't done ever. I must say that those i-cords at the "edges" of the Cumulus Tee are quite boring to knit honestly 😅 Listening to a knitting podcast while doing that saved my sanity hehe

Hello Amanda! I sometimes feel I was a little bit more adventurous with my knitting, but on the other hand I truly love that I get so much wear out of the garment I knit. I don't think it would be the same if I did lots of cable patterns or very punchy colors.

I would definitely recommend the Whitmoor sweater: it's very addicting and I think the final result looks modern enough and doesn't have that, ehm, vintage-y look that some lace patterns have 😅

@@AnItalianKnitter haha maybe everyone but me! That would probably be the worst colour on me, but stunning on you! I'm knitting a Ranunculus out of two strands of Pure Silk in the Plum Rose colourway, that's also a pretty one!
@@princiknitting Oooh yes! I might get some of that too. I’m happy a camisole *should* only be a couple of balls of yarn, so that I can try multiple colorways.
If you want, let me know if/when you’ll actually end up knitting a Whitmoor garment, either the sweater or the cardigan. They both look absolutely lovely in every picture of every project I’ve seen on Ravelry or Instagram ❤️
@@AnItalianKnitter I've knitted two camisoles so far and used both times a lot less than two skeins ☺️ and I think we have roughly the same size.
I have knitted the Whitmoor Cardigan last fall! Super pretty but it was a pain to knit the body, especially with the buttons bands 😔 but maybe a day after I've watched your episode, a friend gifted me the sweater pattern and it's lovely! I did add some short rows in the back, and while it may improve the fit a bit, I think the look is nicer when the lace begins directly after the ribbing.
@@princiknitting Your comment about the two skeins is actually super helpful right now! 🙏 I was debating if I had to order three just in case. What happens is that some camisoles or tops in general come very cropped and I don’t love that. So sometimes I buy an extra ball to make sure the length is right for me, so a bit longer. Hopefully two balls are good enough for a regular length camisole. I plan to finally knit the “famous” Camisole No. 4! I’ve been eyeing that one for a long while.

Just found your channel. You are a delight to watch. I do hope you will start to do cables, they are simple to do. I love your Whitmore, the colour and texture looks great on you. Hey Hazel, I don't have any real plans for cables. I find them a little intimidating and I foresee they might be a little slow to knit? Not sure. Do you have any patterns you would recommend as first cable patterns?
If you can, you should totally go for the Whitmoor sweater. I found it so addicting. I couldn't put it down until I finished the lace yoke! I also really like the look of the final object.

I love your Whitmore sweater, I had seen a cardigan version before but the pullover is nicer and probably easier as well. Button bands scare me!
I must say I'm not a fan of button bands either, especially because of picking up stitches, which sometimes doesn't turn out as pretty and smooth as I'd like hehe

I love lace pattern and I did many lace crochet pieces for my house decorations, but I never try this complicated pattern in any knitting garment. The Whitmoor sweater is so stunning! I'll go for it soon.

I'm going to share some thoughts in my next episode, but so far I think the two patterns are pretty comparable. The Cozy Classic Raglan is more fitted (for example the sleeves are a bit tighter, which I don't know if they're my favorite honestly) but I like that the gauge is a bit looser (18 sts/10 cm instead of 21 sts/10 cm) so I think it's quite spring-appropriate.
