    That intro was pretty dope! I think I'm probably going to go with this spoiler style. I have a white '18 hybrid touring and I always felt like the rear was too short/small. It definitely needs a nice medium size spoiler like this IMO. Mine doesn't even have the fin though. It's just flat trunk.

      Honest, it’s the way it should have come. I don’t understand the little strip afterthought. OEM is worse than having none at all.

      Its the cleanest one I could find. Not too loud, but better than that basic OEM one

    3m adhesive tape is fine holding a light spoiler on the trunk, I did 173mph in my stage 3 A3 and my spoiler didn't go anywhere

  • @willdeleon
    @willdeleon 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nice vid bro! Quick question: so is this pretty much stuck on with 3m tape? and if so, that shit won't just fly off when you hit 100 on the highway?

    • @CaliforniaPhantom
      @CaliforniaPhantom  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good 3M tape; not just the strip that’s on it. I bought a roll and covered it. It’s been over a year of plenty of 100+ with zero issues. I just don’t send it through car wash; I always hand wash my ride.

    • @willdeleon

      @@CaliforniaPhantom thanks a lot for your response bro. That's Motivation!! Yeah, no car wash here neither. I just wipe mine down with water and nothing else. Again, I appreciate your response. Take care ✌

      @@CaliforniaPhantom Definitely better then stock. I just order a M style spoiler from SYNTHCARBON Can’t wait to install it. Thanks for the video I shall follow your steps.

    Hello! Thank you for the video! I wanted to ask if the 3M 2-sided tape is still holding? I ended up buying this same spoiler, but was going to have a shop install it...so you definitely recommend taking off the supplied 3M tape & using automotive 3M tape? And using extra on the sides?

    • @CaliforniaPhantom
      @CaliforniaPhantom  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely. It’s held up well, I just haven’t taken it through any car washes; I hand was my car only.

    • @patrickmccarson8102
      @patrickmccarson8102 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CaliforniaPhantom thank you sir! My accord is dark gray & I plasti-dipped my spoiler flat black. I'm hoping the 3M tape holds well! Thanks again!

    • @CaliforniaPhantom
      @CaliforniaPhantom  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@patrickmccarson8102 I wish I could have found a manual 2.0 in gray. The white with black primer underneath was a terrible combination with California roads. I wanted the dark silver but couldn’t find one.

    • @patrickmccarson8102
      @patrickmccarson8102 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CaliforniaPhantom my 2nd choice was white, but I got lucky my dealer had a gray coming in. I'm happy with the automatic though...it helps with the SoCal traffic. :)

    • @patrickmccarson8102
      @patrickmccarson8102 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Last question sir...does either of the 2 threaded holes underneath line up? Or both do not line up at all?

  • @tonyanderson2269

    Should I get the JDM or SpoilerKing brand? I'm installing the rear window roof and trunk spoilers? Which brand do you recommend? The look is AMAZING. Love your content.

    For the 2 mounting bolt areas what did you put in there place cause my same spoiler didn’t come with 2 bolts just the screw ends inside the wing

    • @CaliforniaPhantom

      Some use sealer on it for bathrooms; I ended up using 3M double sided tape to cover it and had no issues with leaking what so ever.

      Thanks man. Definitely being careful in what I select. Too easy to go overboard with the additional parts. I’ve been slowly looking for an exhaust, but haven’t been too excited from the offerings.

      California Phantom That’s my dilemma. Im slowly modding mine, but these cars have a lot of style from the factory.
