When I was researching SEO for this video, it made me sad, because the truth is not many people are searching, how to save the birds, pointing to a real lack of interest in the subject compared to say, how to make money, or celebrities or even true crime. I have posted the video anyway not expecting it to do well but hoping to raise awareness on some level somewhere, but if you can give it a boost by adding a comment liking, subscribing or sharing, then you too can help raise awareness of this really important subject.
Interesting video 👍It's a pleasure to watch the birds. A friend once asked me what I'm doing against pests. I said:"the birds are taking cares of the pests in my garden."
It’s so true. The birds do a lot of good. 🐦⬛🪺🦜
I like birdies very much. Wow...beautiful and colourful birds in your garden
🦜Thanks for watching.
@@JillBretherton you are welcome
You have put my rant into a perfect video.
Funny tidbit: the robins came back early this year, then we had snow and cold weather, so we delayed opening up the pond and fountain. We had one robin that was most insistent that there should be water in HIS bathtub! He would see us looking at him from the kitchen window and hop in and out of the top of the fountain as if to say Hey! Get on with it 😂
There are battles in the middle of summer as to whom takes the longest bath! The big birds win! Lol We are constantly refilling it because of the oversplashing 😂
I just love it!
aw, that’s so cute. Robins are so chatty and expressive. I love them. Sounds like you have the perfect playground for birds.
What great information and I agree with you totally. I've ordered your book. 2 copies, one for each of my grandchildren. Love watching your channel. Cheers from Denver, colorado.
Oh thank you so much. i am so glad there are people out there who care about birds. let me know how your grandkids like the book. Thank you so much for your support.
We have lots of birds here luckily and our hummingbirds stay all year. An interesting fact we are not allowed to put out bird feeders in certain areas as they attract bears 🐻 yes bears 🐻. But here it’s not an issue 😅😅 just at my sister in laws. Have a fab week Jill, Ali 🌧️🌤️🇨🇦
I wish we had hummingbirds. I love them. Oh yes bears, that’s Canada for you. I wish we had more wild spaces that bears could fit in. ha ha. I noticed in your videos you have lots of hedges and space so I imagine birds are happy there. And bears 🤣🤣🤣 🇨🇦🇬🇧🌼🧸
My garden is all trees and wild garden all my neighbours have fencing some have some shrubs but most have just lawn we are putting up some more best boxes hoping for more nests this year one wrens nest one robin and blackbirds would love more
I have exactly the same situation. My neighbours garden is barren. All lawn and very clipped shrubs. I think you can have a gorgeous, nature friendly garden even with the wild bits. For me one of the many layers of a beautiful garden is the wildlife and pollinators. I value them as much as the plants and flowers. Thanks for sharing. Good luck with all your birds.
Hello! New subscriber here!
I am a young amateur new to gardening, and I was wondering if you could give advice on growing rose bushes? Which types do you find to grow to be tall and bushy?
Also, I was always taught by my late grandfather that roses need to be pruned near the soil level about twice a year. Is that true? I was thinking maybe if I let some of them grow they could become an additional place to perch for potential avian visitors :) What are your thoughts?
Thank you for your wonderful, quality videos.
Much love from Serbia.
Oh yes. I am a rose nut so definitely will be doing videos on roses. thanks for watching & subscribing,
