    Wow that's crazy. I have about 55,000 miles on my aluminum 2 bros (inline 4) and it still looks great. I may try repacking it to lower the sound a little but no visual problems so far.
    I think their website said singles and twins are very rough on their fiberglass packing (around 2,000 miles) while they've seen inline 4 go up to 60k

    Interested to see how the new one performs. The 2B's exhausts looks like they melted; is the engine running lean causing very high EGTs?

    I have had a two brothers exhaust on my cbr929rr for over 10 years and it sounds and looks just as good as the day I put it on!! You should have the bike looked at bro!!

    I run 2bros on my 2012 Klr 685 with pumper carb. 2012 DL1000 dual exhaust and r1200gsa. Repack every 2 years..no issues at all and sound great, weigh so much less than most.

    I feel like I'm beating a dead horse here but I feel like I must. Anytime you alter the exhaust and intake of a motorcycle, you must jet the carburetors appropriately. Lean conditions can definitely do a lot more damage than destroy a few mufflers. It is possible that your FMF is a factory replacement whereas the other two were free flowing performance mufflers. I have a 1979 CB650 with aftermarket exhaust and intake. It was absolutely pissed off at me until I rejetted the carbs.

    Had to be an installation issue. My 2 bro's has 17000 on it and still looks new. No issues. FMF should hold up well ,built to last. Good luck.

    What kind of tuning you got on it. Air filter upgrade. Running at a richer or leaner side.

    • @laveiro2011
      @laveiro2011  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have a basic Air filter on the bike with an open air box. I will however be adding a K&N filter to it sooner and eliminate the box all together as at high speeds I get Air cavitation which in turn affects performance by causing a little hesitation from time to time.

    Your problem is , you are running too lean. The heat signature on the midpipe empathises that. And the front of the can gets too hot also.
    My TBR carbon fiber is 2013 and still good. Bike fueling was too lean at first and them properly tuned. The CF doesn't even get too hot to touch after a day of riding.
    TBR does have a clearcote issue after years in the sun on the CF cans

    I have twin two brothers carbon fiber exhaust on my Kawi zx10r and they’ve been great. I rip the fuck out of that bike almost every time I take it out. I rode almost 3000miles in the middle summer in a weeks time and they had zero issues whatsoever. Maybe your bike needs a tune up.

      bullshit. A bike going through 2 exhausts in less than 2500 miles is ridicules. It’s his bike. I have literally 5x more horsepower than a klr and took it to nearly 200mph almost every day on that trip and my exhaust held up just fine. There’s a 450hp turbo busa with two brothers exhaust at my local drag strip that has been racing the same bike setup for years.

    • @karlschauff7989

      @@razaqadeanova3255 That KLR is absolutely running insanely lean and damaging the exhaust. TBR sells a TON of exhausts and 99% of them never have an issue like this.

    • @laveiro2011
      @laveiro2011  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @dean. Xiety Your bike might have more power however you have no comparison on the compression on a 650 thumper. All it takes is two sequential back fires and an inferior exhaust will fail. My new one is still lasting and then ride hard. Will looks new.

    Not sure about Two Bros being fake or not....but I deal with the sale and repairs and maintenance of wheelchairs. Some high end ones are Carbon Fiber. Carbon Fiber is substandard in my opinion. Back canes, down tubes, stem housings all crack under normal use. People want to spend up to $17,000 on a carbon fiber chair and I always advise them to go with titanium. If you want to have non-essential parts that are not exposed to the elements and only for looks...carbon fiber is good for that. Anything essential and it will fail eventually.
