    Great video...I got lucky and bought this headset for only $100 brand new...I also got the Nova Pro wireless they're pretty much similar in all the features

    One of the most honest and legit actual user consumer reviews I have ever seen in this space.
    Shame they could have made a streamer friendly headset here with 3.5mm on the puck for mixers/xlr and a 3.5 passthrough on the headphones itself.

      Thank you for your nice comment! Yes, lots of opportunities to take these headsets to a level that would make them useful content creators.

    I've had this headset for 11 months there seems to be an awful lot of people who purchased this headset that started having an issue with the boom mic making a crackling sound or just stop working all together. Mine started crackling but thankfully I contacted turtle beach before my warranty was up and they are sending me a new one but I'm now worried this headset wont last very long which is a bummer considering the cost.

      Hmm, that’s not good news. Their customer service is very good from my experience, but you still want products to last past the warranty period!

    Have it for 3 months and no issues and the earrcups are removable sound is very good no complaints as a tip due better background information about a product look at reviews about gaming stuff

      That's weird, I just checked and the ear cups on mine are definitely not removable. Not sure I understand your tip though.

    • @MatthewHaines
      @MatthewHaines  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There a lot of features I wouldn’t use on them. But they seem well-built and the multiple mics option would be useful for a lot of people. So if you can afford them, AND you want a wireless option, I think they’re decent.

    I had the turtle beach xp 510's, and let me say. I'm so disappointed they no longer make them. I had them for about 10 years before they finally wore out. I'd so buy another set in a heartbeat. I have some 600, but the mic keeps cutting in and out when talking. Need a fix for them. They still work, but just the mic issue. Any ideas. I'm looking at maybe getting these in the review.

    • @MatthewHaines
      @MatthewHaines  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      10 years is an amazing amount of time for headphones to last! I can see why you're a little bummed to have them gone. I haven't used the 600s but it sounds like the mic isn't removable. Which means you can't replace it...yuck. Probably any headset with a removable mic means you can buy a replacement mic. The Stealth Pro also has the built-in mic on the ear cup, so that's sort of back up I guess (although not the intention of the mic).

      @TheWraithone 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @MatthewHaines so true. A Friend got me some 50s that plug into the controller, but the sound sucks hard. My disk man from the 80s had better sound lol lol. But hey, they were free after all.

    I saw a comment about people saying that their boom mic started not working and having some static noise, unfortunately that’s what happened to me, even though I used it for less than 6 months, might I add, Lightly, very very lightly, I barely game anymore and I’m careful with it because of how expensive it is, yet it still happened. I sent it through warranty last week and today I received my new pair, I’m probably going to sell them because now I know their prone to having their boom mic not working anymore and I don’t want to have to go through warranty again, so I’m going to keep it unopened, brand brand new and sell it like that for a cheaper price.

    I’ve had this headset for a couple of weeks and the audio is great except that when there’s quiet audio involved I can hear a static sound and it’s not the noise cancellation or anything but also when there’s no audio playing at all I can hear a screak sound, my best example is Minecraft, it’s a very quiet sound game and when I’m walking or running I can hear the static sound and then when I stop moving the screak sound happens but only once but it’s annoying, is this normal or not? Should I get a replacement?

    • @MatthewHaines
      @MatthewHaines  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hmm, not sure. I would contact their support. Like I mentioned in the video, I heard static when the NR was turned on. But it wasn't constant like you're describing. Perhaps you have "super human hearing" turned on? I don't know why there would be a noise when you stop running in the game.

    • @epgcarbide134
      @epgcarbide134 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MatthewHaines it’s still there when I enable or disable human hearing or noise cancellation, I’ve tried every setting and I still hear it. I don’t hear it when play shooting games like call of duty, it’s just the quiet games like Minecraft I can hear the static sound and the screak when the audio goes. I can’t remember if you have a ps5 but a good example to notice the screak is when you hold the mute button on the controller to mute every audio that’s when I hear the screak it’s when the headset knows there’s no audio playing, it’s only a tiny screak and doesn’t last long but I find it annoying

      I bought mine a couple of months ago, and had been having the issue you're describing on PC. Tried all of the fixes Turtle Beach suggested, and no fix unfortunately. Static seems to only be there when there is audio coming through the headset, ie music, videos, etc. The static goes away about 5 seconds after whatever audio source is playing stops. TB ended up sending me a replacement, which I received today, and I seem to be having the same issue. Commenting to see if you have any updates on if you're still having the static issue?

    Hey, great videos! This is a shot in the dark, but I have a set of elite pro 2s that the mic cord is becoming Staticy. I have ordered several cords online and none of them work. Do you know where you can get an OEM cord for the elite pro 2?

      As a matter of fact, my son just went through this same problem with his Elite Pro 2's! Noisy cable, couldn't find one that worked with the headset. But we did find one eventually. Search for this on amazon: ienza Elite Pro Replacement Cable Cable Cord Wire for Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2

    What are you guys doing with your headsets It's like all of you go to vacation / war / the doctor's office and then complain that your headsets broken lol
    These are the best cans for gaming that I've ever bought.
    And I've had the Maxwells.
    As great as those sounded for $300 I want simultaneous audio.
    Again I know the Max will sound better but not for FPS. The turtles are amazing for FPS and sound almost as good as the Maxs for everything else.
    I already have headphones for music.
