@@xPenitentOne I think full sounded great for my voice, but mic eq varies for your own voice. Typically I like boosting 100hz a few db and pulling down 1k by a couple can make it sound nice.
Hi i saw the reviews about the steelseries arctis nova 1 and the steelseries arctis prime which is a bit older but in the review they kinda seem equal and i really don't know what to choose and it had been on my mind for over 2 weeks. I know Elite Pro 2 is wired, but would be great to know if the new one is actually as good quality as a wired one, because after using my Elite Pro 2, I went back to trying my SteelSeries Nova 7 Wireless and I literally didn’t like it compared to Elite Pro 2 and it was clear wired is a different animal for clarity and footsteps I believe we both have similar hearing as we previously agreed that the Astro A20 Gen 2 sounded better than the A50 and same with other headsets I’ve stated recently in my comments that I’ve now gone back to wired and using my Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 and to my hearing it’s the best I’ve heard for footsteps for an affordable price and the only Turtle Beach headset I’ve used where the Superhuman hearing actually makes a positive difference Imaging on the Elite Pro 2 is top tier and would be good to know if Turtle Beach has come up with some magic to make the Stealth Pro with equal imaging in a wireless headset
Fun fact: I needed to swap out batteries for the first time yesterday, and to my pleasant surprise, the headset remained on when I took out the battery and switched it out for the fully charged one.
I think I have spend a decent amount of time watching reviews about this headsets and your is by far the best there is. A great combination of technical breakdown and an everydays users perspective. Keep it up 💪
I just bought these after watching numerous reviews. The only con about this headset is setting up the software, the sound is truly great for FPS games also bluetooth simultaneously while gaming is something you're always going to want after trying it. BTW you're an amazing reviewer keep up the great job friend.
This headset seems better than I expected. I like having a different eq for Bluetooth so I can just set that to my music tune and keep my game tune separate. I don't NEED a new headset, but I'm happy to see there's an alternative to the Maxwell.

I have had pulse 3D and stealth 700 headsets before. Those were fine. Great for what they are. This set is my first time entering into the premium set market I’m honestly kind of blown away. The sound quality is so crisp and immersive. Watched a lot of reviews to make the choice before I purchased so thanks for your video!
I tried the Maxwells, VZR model one, and Nova Pro wired before trying the turtle beach. Turtle beach is by far my favorite. Keep up the good work Joe 👍
Hearing these against the Maxwells gave me an appreciation for Turtle Beach I never expected to have. I assumed Turtle Beach was some cheap console focused brand, boy was I surprised. Interesting that you liked the Stealth Pro better than the VZR Model One (the only other pair I hadn't tried in your list). I just wish the headband on the Stealth Pro was more comfortable (pressure points on my head within an hour). No one ever complained a headband was too plush, FFS manufacturers!

Joe, you're crushing the gaming audio tech reviews. You strike the perfect balance between the objective and subjective sides of things. About the TB Stealth Pro, I tend to not fiddle with game to chat mix mid-game that much. I usually just find a sweet spot and leave it. So maybe that wouldn't bother me that much. I'm looking forward to your comparison video and hopefully you touch on the Stealth 700 G2 Max and whether its worthy of an upgrade.
Yo! Absolutely great job on all these reviews. Spending money like this on a headset for casual but somewhat competitive gamers, it’s important to understand what you’re buying. Now, TBH, when I see the length of the videos I feel like I’m gonna be skipping through it a lot etc…however, next thing I know I just watched the whole video because you stay on topic and explain everything enough that even someone who is not familiar with sound terminology can understand it. Also, I feel like with you there doesn’t seem to be a bias in any way towards a certain brand. Watching your videos had me feel ready to pull the trigger on a purchase so I went out and got the TB 700 Stealth Max…(blah blah) and so far I am enjoying it. Coming from the TB Elite Atlas which was by far the most comfortable headsets 🎧 I’ve ever used and the sound was perfect for me. After almost 5 years it was time for new. I just unboxed the Stealth Pros today after watching this video and can confirm there is now two separate sources for Chat and Game. 10/10 headset now.
I am considering buying it. Right now I have a Razer v3 hypersense and I would like to hear about the ANC if it’s working or not. My girlfriend is sometimes in my room and watch tiktoks which is annoying
Return it asap. Found out is a common issue with the boom mic. They cheap out with that part after 3- months my mic start making distortion, checked thru forums for any solution, found out it was a common issue , crazy right a 3 months headset that cost $330 is having those problems. Other than that can’t complain about them but really disappointed.
Yes they got 1yr warranty but guess what, you have to send your headset give them 7-14 days after they received to send u the replacement or refurbished. I don’t really have a option at this point but just giving the new buyers a heads up

@@joesipr why is that? I got them and I’m pretty happy with them tbh. At least I can hold down the middle button for a couple seconds to be able to change my Game/Chat mixer… OR I can do it from the app. Also, they are built way more solid than the Steelseries. I’ve had 2 pair of Arctic 9X’s and both have broken where the ear muff connects to the headband… The Nova Pros where connected damn near the same way unfortunately 😭

My opinion I have tried high priced headphones. And these are one of the best for foot steps and location of shooting. Even having the 2 softwares for the novas pros are not close to the stealth. If u do want foot steps from the Novas ur gun fire, plane, explosions, cars, airstrike, clusters are extremely loud and annoying. So yes turtle take it. But everyone has different ear drums on sounds.

YES!! Finally someone talks about the game/chat mix that is a really big thing for me when getting a mic for PlayStation thank you for talking about this I just bought these and was confused how that worked. It is definitely too much of a hassle I play a lot of shooters so I’m constantly messing with the chat mix while playing. They could of done better with this feature I’m definitely sad about this.

Great review, i have Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 and was looking for an upgrade, great review, many other reviewers are saying you have to take off mic to get the swappable battery out, glad you showed that it can be done with mic inside also. I came across your channel and i like your review depth, you've earned yourself a subscriber.
Have picked up a set of these again, after selling my Maxwell which I just couldn't get comfortable with nor could I quite enjoy enough on FPS games. Used your EQ as a base then tweaked a little further for my preferences and have to say they have performance amazingly on the MW3 Beta and BF2042 - imaging is just fantastic and I've found it so much easier to pinpoint enemies etc. Ok, they don't hit the spot for music quite as much but I have other headphones for that :)
and then have to return them as my volume wheel isn't right - spins freely sometimes then tightens and clicks at others :( Don't trust it not to fail based on that - unless they all do it?)
@@Parahdigm I don't have the exact figures as I've had to return my set due to a faulty volume wheel but recall reducing the 3 lowest frequency bands especially 125 and took about 1db off 250. Also added back a dB or so to 8k. Found the original eq still a little muddy and bass overpowered but then I'm coming from open backed headphones and use pretty much exclusively for FPS.
Great review, thanks for the EQ presets they definitely are a game changer. It looks like TB changed their EQ adjustments you are no longer able to increase the bass for example with the advanced EQ active.

Great review as usual. Was looking forward to these. I really love my Gen 2 MAX for the bass so I'm a bit sad these are lacking out of the box. Still plan to try these and the Maxwell and see which ones stick. I'm a bass head but also a slight audiophile so it'll be interesting. I just want punchy deep bass AND audiophile detail! A man can dream... someone suggested me the Master Dynamic mg20s..maybe I'll try those as well.
I have this headset, and trust me, these things have tons of bass if you turn up the bass in the app. Do NOT worry about this headset when it comes to bass. I returned the Audeze Maxwell because they didn’t have enough bass, and the Stealth Pros absolutely slam in the bass department
These were my preferred over the Nova Pro because of its immersion in games. But I got the Nova pro for 150 off so it was better to me and I love them. And you helped me make that decision.
@@damclev comfort , the anc is much better in the novas i dont hear my vent in the headset in the tb i hear the vent , the novas are more easy to switch between my ps5 or xbox dont have to change cable or the switch in transmitter im the novas i do with the DAC and headset in my gaming chair, and the most importan thing , u do the last tb firmware updated?they fucked the audio in the ps5 before that they sound amazing , loud and clear , after that updated the sound is really low , try that EQ that i send u to the novas and we talk about sound!!!
@@damclev battery duration , in novas u can control the bluettoth audio separate of the game in tb , u can control bt and game sound apart honestly if u think tb are better , one of 2 things or u dont have the novas or u novas are damaged
I 100% agree, give us more knobs, buttons and spiny things! Less gesture , combo buttons. The old school knobs and buttons just give the tough, long lasting feel and ease.

Have the Nova Pro Wireless, Audeze Maxwell and A30 Madalorian headsets... TB Stealth Pro is on pre-order and they're supposed to arrive Wednesday. However, the Maxwells are insanely good, so I'm looking forward to hearing what these sound like.

(I love the boom of explosions, gunshots, ect...) *What do you think about the Maxwell's sound & bass??* -I don't really play FPS's that much, more Souls Likes, Horror, RPG, and Story Driven Games on PS5 only. What's your opinion of the Maxwell's on console?
I can't decide between the Maxwells and these Stealth Pro's. Comfort is a big factor for me too, and that's why I sold the Penrose. But I heard they fixed the comfort issue with the Maxwell's. I guess I should pull the trigger on the Maxwells, cause It doesn't sound like I'll be disappointed in them. I appreciate you responded by the way
@Mike C-137 Definently get the Maxwell, I feel they have the best sound overall and bass. Just got the TB stealth pro for PS5 so I'm still working with the EQ. But the Maxwells have plenty of bass, more than the Arctis Nova Pros by alot. They are bass heavy but in a good way. They sound stage doesn't suffer from the bass like some other headsets that get muddy or drown out the rest of the sound. Just from the little time I've had with the Stealth pros(got them today) I would say Maxwell>TB stealth pro>Arctis Nova Pro>A50. Maxwells are just a really kick ass headset. And definitely mess with the EQ, out of the box it is not bass heavy at all.

Top quality video again can I ask a question when running these on a PlayStation 5!would you run it with a 3-D audio running or would you just let the headset do its work itself?

Your video brought the Turtle Beach Stealth Pro to my radar and in the end I´ve bought it. And this video helped my enormous to set it up.
@@joesipr I know. But I use my headset only on my desktop PC and prefer a mic that stay adjusted to one position. This way I don't have to mess around with the setting because the mic changes the distance to my mouth when I touch it while hang the headset to its parking spot.
@@joesipr I don't want to adjust it as it would require to always mess with the voice activation level and output level when its adjusted even only slightly. Had this issue on previous headsets and don't like to struggle again. On the Stealth Pro the mic arm keeps its form and can stay where it is. Only movement is flipping it up when not needed.

Hi Joe, been using your EQ for the Stealth Pro and I think it's great. Thank you for putting in so much effort on this. You are an asset mate. Just a quick question if I may? If the vocals still sound a little fainted or muddy what band would you recommend changing? Would this be the mids? i.e 1k band? Also, just returned the Maxwell's. the sound was fantastic on those but just couldn't get the right fit and they were just a tad too heavy for long sessions. In contrast I think the Stealth Pro are just as good from a gaming perspective and believe the difference is very marginal. Anyone on the fence this is a beast of a headset. Just wish it was a tad louder. Thanks again.

If you connect to your phone with Bluetooth and have the app then you have access to game and voice mix whenever you want without needing to use the hold click etc, in fact the app gives you access to everything and if I’m gaming the apps pulled up on my phone ready for in game adjustments that ain’t on the headset, obviously they are but saves remembering what you got to do and setting what you want, and if you are using pc then you can use the app on mobile or the app on pc to do adjustments, but for gaming just keep the app on the phone up to use.

I compared these to the Maxwell's vs Nova Pro's and Arctic A50 X's and I love the sound in these for shooters (PUBG for me) but when the volume was above 70% I got a ton of feedback, even more pronounced with SHH mode turned on. Shame cause I think the imaging beats out the rest and the balance was amazing out of the box before I tweaked it to your EQ setttings.

For the PlayStation version is there no chat/game mix to use? In the PC Audio Hub it says PC only but it shows up in IOS app(although no way to control it if it does work on the headset itself). Great video!
Between the Maxwell and this headset, I ordered the Maxwell. Biggest difference being the battery life. With everything needing to be charged, its nice to not have to worry about charging the headset for a couple weeks at a time
Hey dude great reviews as always , just sold my Nova pro after buying these, you are spot on when you said that these have great detail even when bass is booming . I did test my nova pro against the stealth pro on warzone for a night swapping from one to other , the stealth won . I wanted the nova to win as i find them more comfortable and game/chat mix works well on the nova and its pants on the stealth . Do you have an eq you use for warzone for the stealth please ?

I have always used your eq for my headphones but a question arose from watching your video, if I use the tempes 3d audio on ps5 it is not necessary to equalize the headphones or is it? The ANC function changes the sound profile to my ears. Do not know this is an illusion or not. I left the eq on signature and the ANC slider 1.5 above middle. It sounds so much better and immersive than the maxwells in cyberpunk and the witcher 3 on ps5 its incredible. So clean. Probably something really wrong with my hearing 😅 Edit: The maxwells are vastly superior for listening to music though. Like a 1000%

Thanks! GSP600 series is good only if you love gobs of delicious bass. The clamp force is a bit strong, and overall in FPS I like the H6PRO Open and Drop PC38x a bit more. If you want home theater thunderous bass, than the 600/601/602 is still a good option

Ah I noticed you mentioned using Dolby with game mode and performance mode off. Sorry about that. I’ve been using it that way for about 2 weeks now and it sounds so good. I tend to like more treble in my games and music so I’ve been going back and forth but I do really like your EQ settings.
Fantastic review like always. Looking forward to the comparison showdown. It’s like this headset took all the issues from the Maxwell and Nova Pro that were deal breakers for me and fixed almost all. The 12x2 hour battery is meh and the button crinkles and wear and tear wait to be seen but it’s the cheapest of all three in the UK. Less bulky, heavy and more customisable than the Maxwell and great sounding, with comfortable ANC, simultaneous Bluetooth and much better commute, mobile and console support all whilst being one of the best gaming headsets on the market. Will still wait till Black Friday to see how the market develops but this really looks like the one for me as it stands.
After going through a couple stealth 700 gen 2s due to the plastic cracking on the ear cups by the mounts to the headband, do you think these will hold up/built better?
Same here mate just bought these after that happening to both sides of my 700gen2 and Maxs. The build quality looks much better at that known weak point but so far the mic isn't as good and i sound too distant and metallic. When i move it closer friends can hear my breathing. Have messaged TB support about it earlier
I’m trying to figure out what to get for my daughter. I think I’ve narrowed it down between stealth pro,the Maxwell or logitech pro X V2. She games more than anything, but also listens to music on the go. Which one should I choose for her? Gaming would be a little more important than the music. I think durability is one aspect as well. She has broke a Razer Kraken quartz with the cat ears ,then YOWU RGB Cat ear headphones in less than a year and a half. I so glad for the Amazon Asurion warranty programs.
Maxwells are absolutely a no go. way to heavy. Logi v2´s are okay but sound bad. Stealth are better sounding the Logi and lighter then maxwell. I returned the maxwell after 1 month. Would have liked to like the logi but i´m sticking with the stealth.
I wanted to buy these up until you mentioned the chat mix function not being there and that sucks big time! Loved my 700s for that reason buy I guess I’ll stick to my arctis 7p+ for now

How do we feel about the TB Pro vs the VZR model ones now? VZR seems to make my ears hot and i see WC has TB Stealth pro options coming. Plus Mic gain on xbox for VZR is trash unless i use TB ear force.

how would u compare theese vs stealth 700 gen2 max Im thinking to buy 1 of them just dunno would 150 euro more be worth it when it comes to sound quallity and im thinking using them on pc only for gaming and music, I had hyperx cloud alpha S I loved them for footsteps and bass but mic was so low, i changed them for logitech g pro x and that was total failure no bass footsteps were bad but good mic, so i just hope either of stealth 700 gen 2 max or stealth pro have same or more bass as hyperx cloud alpha S and are they lound as them aswell would appreciate any info

I've been using the Astro A50 Gen 1 for over 10 years now but its slowly falling apart. I want to get a new one but can't decide between the Nova Pro Wireless and the Stealth Pro. They seem very similar and do a few things that I really want like removable batteries, chat/game mix and no dongle. But the mic quality on NPW is pretty bad and the flip to mute has grown on me from using the Astro. And I play on console so Sonar and like 80% of the features of the NPW are useless to me. But its there if I want to switch to PC at some point. Which one would you recommend, when it comes to playing open world and singleplayer or laid back games, usability, comfort and build quality ?
Just got the Stealth Pros today....man you wasn't kidding about how hard it is to pick a favorite. The Stealth Pros are NICE! Definitely feel the stealth pro and Maxwells are better than the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless. Only bc I feel the Nova Pro just lack the richness in bass.
bro the novas have a very loud and clear volume , try to use the DAC , i buy the stealth pro love it but in clarity and footsteps in cod there no way i change my novas
@joesipr I agree the Nova wireless are probably top tear for footsteps. But with the game dac issue with the ps5(having to unplug it everytime so the mic works proper) is super annoying. The Stealth Pros IMO are almost just as good for FPS but way better for Immersion sound. Nova Pros would be Hella good if the damn mic would just work, super annoying having to run plug the DAC everytime I turn my ps5 on
So the top layer in my video editing software was toggled to hidden for some reason. One of the affected portions (of course) was my custom EQ screen shot. @@xPenitentOne I think full sounded great for my voice, but mic eq varies for your own voice. Typically I like boosting 100hz a few db and pulling down 1k by a couple can make it sound nice.

I know Elite Pro 2 is wired, but would be great to know if the new one is actually as good quality as a wired one, because after using my Elite Pro 2, I went back to trying my SteelSeries Nova 7 Wireless and I literally didn’t like it compared to Elite Pro 2 and it was clear wired is a different animal for clarity and footsteps
I believe we both have similar hearing as we previously agreed that the Astro A20 Gen 2 sounded better than the A50 and same with other headsets
I’ve stated recently in my comments that I’ve now gone back to wired and using my Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 and to my hearing it’s the best I’ve heard for footsteps for an affordable price and the only Turtle Beach headset I’ve used where the Superhuman hearing actually makes a positive difference
Imaging on the Elite Pro 2 is top tier and would be good to know if Turtle Beach has come up with some magic to make the Stealth Pro with equal imaging in a wireless headset

Fun fact: I needed to swap out batteries for the first time yesterday, and to my pleasant surprise, the headset remained on when I took out the battery and switched it out for the fully charged one.
How long can you play with 1 load? I can play 14 hours without anc and Bluetooth on

I just bought these after watching numerous reviews. The only con about this headset is setting up the software, the sound is truly great for FPS games also bluetooth simultaneously while gaming is something you're always going to want after trying it. BTW you're an amazing reviewer keep up the great job friend.
This headset seems better than I expected. I like having a different eq for Bluetooth so I can just set that to my music tune and keep my game tune separate.
I don't NEED a new headset, but I'm happy to see there's an alternative to the Maxwell.

I have had pulse 3D and stealth 700 headsets before. Those were fine. Great for what they are. This set is my first time entering into the premium set market I’m honestly kind of blown away. I tried the Maxwells, VZR model one, and Nova Pro wired before trying the turtle beach. Turtle beach is by far my favorite. Keep up the good work Joe 👍
Hearing these against the Maxwells gave me an appreciation for Turtle Beach I never expected to have. I assumed Turtle Beach was some cheap console focused brand, boy was I surprised.
Interesting that you liked the Stealth Pro better than the VZR Model One (the only other pair I hadn't tried in your list).
I just wish the headband on the Stealth Pro was more comfortable (pressure points on my head within an hour). No one ever complained a headband was too plush, FFS manufacturers!

Joe, you're crushing the gaming audio tech reviews. You strike the perfect balance between the objective and subjective sides of things. About the TB Stealth Pro, I tend to not fiddle with game to chat mix mid-game that much. I usually just find a sweet spot and leave it. So maybe that wouldn't bother me that much. I'm looking forward to your comparison video and hopefully you touch on the Stealth 700 G2 Max and whether its worthy of an upgrade.

Now, TBH, when I see the length of the videos I feel like I’m gonna be skipping through it a lot etc…however, next thing I know I just watched the whole video because you stay on topic and explain everything enough that even someone who is not familiar with sound terminology can understand it. Return it asap. Found out is a common issue with the boom mic. They cheap out with that part after 3- months my mic start making distortion, checked thru forums for any solution, found out it was a common issue , crazy right a 3 months headset that cost $330 is having those problems. Other than that can’t complain about them but really disappointed.
Yes they got 1yr warranty but guess what, you have to send your headset give them 7-14 days after they received to send u the replacement or refurbished. I don’t really have a option at this point but just giving the new buyers a heads up

At least I can hold down the middle button for a couple seconds to be able to change my Game/Chat mixer… OR I can do it from the app. Also, they are built way more solid than the Steelseries. I’ve had 2 pair of Arctic 9X’s and both have broken where the ear muff connects to the headband… The Nova Pros where connected damn near the same way unfortunately 😭

My opinion I have tried high priced headphones. And these are one of the best for foot steps and location of shooting. Even having the 2 softwares for the novas pros are not close to the stealth. If u do want foot steps from the Novas ur gun fire, plane, explosions, cars, airstrike, clusters are extremely loud and annoying.
So yes turtle take it. But everyone has different ear drums on sounds.

YES!! Finally someone talks about the game/chat mix that is a really big thing for me when getting a mic for PlayStation thank you for talking about this I just bought these and was confused how that worked. It is definitely too much of a hassle I play a lot of shooters so I’m constantly messing with the chat mix while playing. They could of done better with this feature I’m definitely sad about this.
Only Sony's own headsets let you adjust game/chat mix.

Have picked up a set of these again, after selling my Maxwell which I just couldn't get comfortable with nor could I quite enjoy enough on FPS games. Used your EQ as a base then tweaked a little further for my preferences and have to say they have performance amazingly on the MW3 Beta and BF2042 - imaging is just fantastic and I've found it so much easier to pinpoint enemies etc. Ok, they don't hit the spot for music quite as much but I have other headphones for that :)
and then have to return them as my volume wheel isn't right - spins freely sometimes then tightens and clicks at others :( Don't trust it not to fail based on that - unless they all do it?)
What did you adjust in your own EQ settings and do you use Dolby settings as well?
@@Parahdigm I don't have the exact figures as I've had to return my set due to a faulty volume wheel but recall reducing the 3 lowest frequency bands especially 125 and took about 1db off 250. Also added back a dB or so to 8k. Found the original eq still a little muddy and bass overpowered but then I'm coming from open backed headphones and use pretty much exclusively for FPS.

Great review, thanks for the EQ presets they definitely are a game changer. It looks like TB changed their EQ adjustments you are no longer able to increase the bass for example with the advanced EQ active.

Great review as usual. Was looking forward to these. I really love my Gen 2 MAX for the bass so I'm a bit sad these are lacking out of the box. Still plan to try these and the Maxwell and see which ones stick. I'm a bass head but also a slight audiophile so it'll be interesting. I just want punchy deep bass AND audiophile detail! A man can dream... someone suggested me the Master Dynamic mg20s..maybe I'll try those as well.

I have this headset, and trust me, these things have tons of bass if you turn up the bass in the app. Do NOT worry about this headset when it comes to bass.
I returned the Audeze Maxwell because they didn’t have enough bass, and the Stealth Pros absolutely slam in the bass department

@@damclev comfort , the anc is much better in the novas i dont hear my vent in the headset in the tb i hear the vent , the novas are more easy to switch between my ps5 or xbox dont have to change cable or the switch in transmitter im the novas i do with the DAC and headset in my gaming chair, and the most importan thing , u do the last tb firmware updated?they fucked the audio in the ps5 before that they sound amazing , loud and clear , after that updated the sound is really low , try that EQ that i send u to the novas and we talk about sound!!!

@Mike C-137 Definently get the Maxwell, I feel they have the best sound overall and bass. Just got the TB stealth pro for PS5 so I'm still working with the EQ. But the Maxwells have plenty of bass, more than the Arctis Nova Pros by alot. They are bass heavy but in a good way. They sound stage doesn't suffer from the bass like some other headsets that get muddy or drown out the rest of the sound. Just from the little time I've had with the Stealth pros(got them today) I would say Maxwell>TB stealth pro>Arctis Nova Pro>A50. Maxwells are just a really kick ass headset. And definitely mess with the EQ, out of the box it is not bass heavy at all.

@@joesipr I know. But I use my headset only on my desktop PC and prefer a mic that stay adjusted to one position. This way I don't have to mess around with the setting because the mic changes the distance to my mouth when I touch it while hang the headset to its parking spot.

@@joesipr I don't want to adjust it as it would require to always mess with the voice activation level and output level when its adjusted even only slightly. Had this issue on previous headsets and don't like to struggle again. On the Stealth Pro the mic arm keeps its form and can stay where it is. Only movement is flipping it up when not needed.

Hi Joe, been using your EQ for the Stealth Pro and I think it's great. Thank you for putting in so much effort on this. You are an asset mate. Just a quick question if I may? If the vocals still sound a little fainted or muddy what band would you recommend changing? Would this be the mids? i.e 1k band?
Also, just returned the Maxwell's. the sound was fantastic on those but just couldn't get the right fit and they were just a tad too heavy for long sessions. In contrast I think the Stealth Pro are just as good from a gaming perspective and believe the difference is very marginal. Anyone on the fence this is a beast of a headset. Just wish it was a tad louder. Thanks again.

If you connect to your phone with Bluetooth and have the app then you have access to game and voice mix whenever you want without needing to use the hold click etc, in fact the app gives you access to everything and if I’m gaming the apps pulled up on my phone ready for in game adjustments that ain’t on the headset, obviously they are but saves remembering what you got to do and setting what you want, and if you are using pc then you can use the app on mobile or the app on pc to do adjustments, but for gaming just keep the app on the phone up to use.

I compared these to the Maxwell's vs Nova Pro's and Arctic A50 X's and I love the sound in these for shooters (PUBG for me) but when the volume was above 70% I got a ton of feedback, even more pronounced with SHH mode turned on. Shame cause I think the imaging beats out the rest and the balance was amazing out of the box before I tweaked it to your EQ setttings.

For the PlayStation version is there no chat/game mix to use? In the PC Audio Hub it says PC only but it shows up in IOS app(although no way to control it if it does work on the headset itself). Great video!

Between the Maxwell and this headset, I ordered the Maxwell. Biggest difference being the battery life. With everything needing to be charged, its nice to not have to worry about charging the headset for a couple weeks at a time

I did test my nova pro against the stealth pro on warzone for a night swapping from one to other , the stealth won . I wanted the nova to win as i find them more comfortable and game/chat mix works well on the nova and its pants on the stealth . Do you have an eq you use for warzone for the stealth please ?

Hello! I saw your review and ended up buying these headphones to play on ps5 and I couldn't be happier with them, the sound quality is incredible. I have always used your eq for my headphones but a question arose from watching your video, if I use the tempes 3d audio on ps5 it is not necessary to equalize the headphones or is it? And another question for bluetooth, that is, to listen to music, does the same eq work?Thank you for your work!

Do you think stealth pro has better imaging and sound stage than Beyerdynamic MMX300 Gen2?
The ANC function changes the sound profile to my ears. Do not know this is an illusion or not. I left the eq on signature and the ANC slider 1.5 above middle. It sounds so much better and immersive than the maxwells in cyberpunk and the witcher 3 on ps5 its incredible. So clean. Probably something really wrong with my hearing 😅
Edit: The maxwells are vastly superior for listening to music though. Like a 1000%

Thanks! GSP600 series is good only if you love gobs of delicious bass. The clamp force is a bit strong, and overall in FPS I like the H6PRO Open and Drop PC38x a bit more. If you want home theater thunderous bass, than the 600/601/602 is still a good option
your screenshot of eq, 125hz says -3 but the button is at -2, just wondering which 1 should it be at? Just recieved my stealth pro due to this video, Amazing video.

I’m on series X and have the option of using either stereo uncompressed, windows sonic, Dolby atmos or DTS. After setting my EQ to your settings, which of those listed sound profiles would you suggest? Thank you for the great review. I just recently got this headset yesterday and really enjoy it.
I'd say test them with the same games for a bit here and there, I personally love DTS X. Can't recommend that enough haha.
Ah I noticed you mentioned using Dolby with game mode and performance mode off. Sorry about that. I’ve been using it that way for about 2 weeks now and it sounds so good. I tend to like more treble in my games and music so I’ve been going back and forth but I do really like your EQ settings.

Fantastic review like always. Looking forward to the comparison showdown. It’s like this headset took all the issues from the Maxwell and Nova Pro that were deal breakers for me and fixed almost all.
The 12x2 hour battery is meh and the button crinkles and wear and tear wait to be seen but it’s the cheapest of all three in the UK. Less bulky, heavy and more customisable than the Maxwell and great sounding, with comfortable ANC, simultaneous Bluetooth and much better commute, mobile and console support all whilst being one of the best gaming headsets on the market.
Will still wait till Black Friday to see how the market develops but this really looks like the one for me as it stands.
After going through a couple stealth 700 gen 2s due to the plastic cracking on the ear cups by the mounts to the headband, do you think these will hold up/built better?
Same here mate just bought these after that happening to both sides of my 700gen2 and Maxs. The build quality looks much better at that known weak point but so far the mic isn't as good and i sound too distant and metallic. When i move it closer friends can hear my breathing. Have messaged TB support about it earlier
I’m trying to figure out what to get for my daughter. I think I’ve narrowed it down between stealth pro,the Maxwell or logitech pro X V2. She games more than anything, but also listens to music on the go. Which one should I choose for her? Gaming would be a little more important than the music. I think durability is one aspect as well. She has broke a Razer Kraken quartz with the cat ears ,then YOWU RGB Cat ear headphones in less than a year and a half. I so glad for the Amazon Asurion warranty programs.
Maxwells are absolutely a no go. way to heavy. Logi v2´s are okay but sound bad. Stealth are better sounding the Logi and lighter then maxwell.
I returned the maxwell after 1 month.
Would have liked to like the logi but i´m sticking with the stealth.
I wanted to buy these up until you mentioned the chat mix function not being there and that sucks big time! Loved my 700s for that reason buy I guess I’ll stick to my arctis 7p+ for now
Someone comment that 4 weeks ago "I just unboxed the Stealth Pros today after watching this video and can confirm there is now two separate sources for Chat and Game. 10/10 headset now.". Check on that.

Can you use the Sonar software to split the game and chat audio eg disocrd on pc as chat, so that you can use the game/ chat slider on the headset?

How do we feel about the TB Pro vs the VZR model ones now? VZR seems to make my ears hot and i see WC has TB Stealth pro options coming. Plus Mic gain on xbox for VZR is trash unless i use TB ear force.

how would u compare theese vs stealth 700 gen2 max Im thinking to buy 1 of them just dunno would 150 euro more be worth it when it comes to sound quallity and im thinking using them on pc only for gaming and music, I had hyperx cloud alpha S I loved them for footsteps and bass but mic was so low, i changed them for logitech g pro x and that was total failure no bass footsteps were bad but good mic, so i just hope either of stealth 700 gen 2 max or stealth pro have same or more bass as hyperx cloud alpha S and are they lound as them aswell would appreciate any info
Can I ask what you are adjusting for side tone? Is it mic monitoring? I can't hear myself - and it sounds dead if that makes sense. Coming from nova pro wireless to these.
I've been using the Astro A50 Gen 1 for over 10 years now but its slowly falling apart. I want to get a new one but can't decide between the Nova Pro Wireless and the Stealth Pro. They seem very similar and do a few things that I really want like removable batteries, chat/game mix and no dongle.
But the mic quality on NPW is pretty bad and the flip to mute has grown on me from using the Astro. And I play on console so Sonar and like 80% of the features of the NPW are useless to me. But its there if I want to switch to PC at some point.
Which one would you recommend, when it comes to playing open world and singleplayer or laid back games, usability, comfort and build quality ?
Just got the Stealth Pros today....man you wasn't kidding about how hard it is to pick a favorite. The Stealth Pros are NICE! Definitely feel the stealth pro and Maxwells are better than the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless. Only bc I feel the Nova Pro just lack the richness in bass.
bro the novas have a very loud and clear volume , try to use the DAC , i buy the stealth pro love it but in clarity and footsteps in cod there no way i change my novas
@joesipr I agree the Nova wireless are probably top tear for footsteps. But with the game dac issue with the ps5(having to unplug it everytime so the mic works proper) is super annoying. The Stealth Pros IMO are almost just as good for FPS but way better for Immersion sound. Nova Pros would be Hella good if the damn mic would just work, super annoying having to run plug the DAC everytime I turn my ps5 on
