Reveal! UK's New Medium Military Helicopter Requirements - Is the S70M Black Hawk an Option?

Britain could begin production of the Sikorsky S-70M Black Hawk medium helicopters in the near future. So far, the deal is valued at over $1 billion to acquire between three and four dozen medium-sized helicopters, which will most likely replace the British Puma HC2s.
Paul Lemmo, the head of Sikorsky a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin spoke about this on June 1st, making it clear that such a possibility domestic production is part of the company’s strategy.
Sikorsky believes that their S-70M Black Hawk will be more than successful and will meet British requirements. The future medium helicopter is expected not only to replace the aging Puma HC2 helicopters, but also some squadrons of the Royal Air Force equipped with another American flagship - Bell 212, Bell 412, and AS365 Dauphin.

Sounds like the best replacement, for the Puma as the Black Hawk is a tried, and tested Battle proven helicopter, not to mention the interoperability we would have in common with the U.S. military, and most of our allies.

This is what the canadian airforce should purchase to replace its ch 139s so it would have a larger replacement a helicopter that is an affordable replacement and even possibly remove the need to build/purchase brand new attack helicopters

How many times is Sikorsky going to offer the blackhawk? westlands had the licence to manufacture in the 80's it built 3! It was rejected for the wessex replacement, lynx replacement, Apache , It has NEVER met any British requirement!

As unglamorous as helicopters are…..the H60 is one of the best lookin helos ever built….but she also delivers when it counts…Battle tested tried and true……of course I’m a bit biased……kinda like the good solid girlfriend you end up marrying…..
