    As a committed and militant atheist, I thank you for putting forward this explanation in a neutral and non-preachy way, but as an instructional work on the texts and politics around them. I'll check out some of your other videos.

      Militant atheist? Haven't met one who isn't. If you don't have faith than why try to destroy others?
      Atleast agnostics admit they don't know 100%.

    So I am ex mormon turned born again Christian after 37 years. The thing I am trying to help my family and friends understand is that the Bible was not changed by wicked men as the Book of Mormon falsely asserts. Mormons say this is the Nicene Council but what are some good resources, videos to help show Mormons that the Nicene Creed was not evil?

    • @christopherjones2669
      @christopherjones2669 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bible tells what God has done for us, and that is important; the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ, tells what God did for us and who God is, hence, Book of Mormon the most correct book on earth; Apostle Paul was correct to start all letters of his emphasizing the Father and Son are 2 different people. And One sent the other to earth. Hence, there is prior life to this world.

    Most people.... Completely ignore the Holy Spirit. So right from the start. The creed mishandles what that spirit is for.

  • @claudiozanella256
    @claudiozanella256 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    In Nicea they didn't understand that the Holy Spirit is the Father. In other terms the Father is here in the limited form of a spirit "God is a spirit". ("Spirit" means that NOBODY is here in reality to speak the God's words, i.e. God is absent). Jesus has thus the Father who is a spirit and calls Him sometimes "Father", sometimes "Spirit (Holy)" according to circumstances. But they are just two equivalent names. For example Jesus could say "..but blasphemy against the Father will not be forgiven..." in an equivalent manner.

    Orthodox is the only form of Christianity that actually has kept the original Nicene creed.
    From the council of nicea until Rome changed it. But orthodoxy kept it.

    Nicene Creed was established in 325 After Christ, not based off of the teaching of Christ but off of their interpretation of Christ. The Bible was translated from Aramaic to Koine Greek somewhere in the 1st to 3rd century do to a significant amount of Jews being educated in that language eventually causing the extinction of Aramaic. Jesus spoke Aramaic, The Aramaic word for God is אלהא Elāhā ( Biblical Aramaic), Muslims call God Allah. This is not a coincidence.

      _"tell me what do you fear?"_
      That there's a Purgatory where one has to relive this conversation thousands of times as a test of patience.
      _"That Jesus worshipped Allah"_
      As in, God? That is not controversial. Basic Christian theology.
      _"or maybe that Jesus is a Prophet"_
      Yup. Definitely a Prophet. Prophet, Priest and King. Basic Christian theology.

    Good video but falls into the trap regarding orthodoxy at the time of the council. At the time there was no such thing as orthodoxy and Arianism was just one of many different christologies that were around at the time. History is about winners and losers and proto orthodox Christianity which is now considered to be mainstream was the most popular and better organised. It also benefitted from imperial patronage. If Marcian had won the day Christianity would have been very different.

    In fact, originally the Christ should have sinful nature, but eventually eradicated it through practice. Why? For more details, please watch the sermon of the Light of Wisdom Church, welcome everyone to study and discuss together. Video “The Trinity |God from God, Light from Light|Reincarnation | I Am the way, the truth and the life 08”
    If you think it makes sense, we must not only believe it ourselves, but also spread it to more people. Evangelism is not only the job of pastors, but also the responsibility of every believer. This is also the aspect that the Lord values most when ascending to the kingdom of heaven.

      approvedofGod just because it doesnt mention a specific word doesnt mean it doesnt exist 🤦‍♀️ you can use that same logic for a multitude of other things in the Bible and you will see how that falls flat in logical comprehension of scripture. Jesus speaks of the Father, when Jesus is risen he leaves the Holy Spirit, thats just one example.
