My dad had a similar year Tahoe with the barn doors and I'm pretty sure there was little to no sound deadening in them. I miss that truck. We would get some ice cream from Dairy Queen, pop open the barn doors, and sit in the back and enjoy our treats. Idk how the Suburban is but the Tahoe had two speakers in the headliner right by the barn doors and it was awesome lol

If it shows RPO # gt4 in the glove box it has 3.73 gears, gt5 is 4.10 rear end gearing

Thanks for that, mines GT4. Still feels a little sluggish with the 285's. I have a tuner on it set to economy 87 octane. Might remove it and see how it is. I did adjust the tire size in the tuner.
