    Thank you very much for your video. I currently use P4RTK and am planning to buy the M3E.

    So, it is my understanding that you actually don't need GCPs with an RTK system. You would however, use 1-3 check points (CPs) depending on the size of the area being mapped, to confirm the accuracy but not influence the data.
    Also, you mentioned you setup your Emlid base on an unknown point. I usually, read about or watch mapping tutorials that alway talk about seting up a base station on a known point. I don't know where to even start to try and find a known point? Are there available maps somewhere?
    Without setting up on a known point, does this mean your reconstruction will only have relative accuracy?

      •The first statement about RTK and GCP is correct.
      •Sometimes a known point is not available so we have to set up on a random spot.
      •Yes, there is a provincial network of known geodetic markers called MASCOT but it takes a bit of training to know how to use it.
      •We can reconcile an unknown point against known references in a post processing step and get virtually the same accuracy as a known point.

    Why did you choose the Emilid over DJI RTK2?

      its cheaper and a far more capable device. Thej DJI RTK2 is more plug and play with DJI though and can apparently communicate directly with drone unlike this setup which does via the controller if using RTK.

      Both are great systems. We chose the Emlid because we wanted to test the setup.

    Can I achieve a fair accuracy if I collect about 5-7 GCPs using Emlid Base and Rover and then start the mission using Mavic 3E (without RTK solution)?

      That should be fine. GCP count depends on how large the area is. There are plenty of sources online that recommend the number of GCPs per acreage.

    Greetings. Tell me, when flying a mission in combination with Mavik 3T and D-RTK2, is any post-processing necessary? or the corrected coordinates are already recorded in the photo. and can you build the model directly in agisoft?

      If by post-processing you mean processing your survey data, then yes. If you want to process the data in a globally accurate coordinate position, you must either enter the globally accurate point position of the antenna into your controller before flight, or, if you don't have a good coordinate position up front, extract data from the DRTK-2 to run through a positioning correction service like OPUS or NRCAN. If global accuracy is not important to you and you just want the centimetre precision of RTK only, then processing the photos in Agisoft as is will work fine. The photos are geotagged with RTK precision. The simplest way to get global accuracy with photogrammetry is to set up on a globally accurate point or log static to create your own ahead of time. The latter means going to site a few days in advance of flying.

    What about the Z ? I think that your GCP helps to improve it in metashape is that right ?

    I have an Emlid RS2+ as an RTK base, I know I can't move away from the base with my remote control. Otherwise I lose my RTK signal. My question, is it the same problem with DJI's D-RTK base.

      No you can connect with DRTK2 via radio link which means the signal is a lot farther reaching. Keep in mind the Emlid has different formats so it isn’t always restricted in that way.

    what best setting for camera shutter and iso for this drone?

      Between 500/s -1000/s is a good bet for shutter speed. For ISO, that will depend on the available light and the level of detail your comfortable with. You could just put it in auto ISO to keep things simple.

    FRIEND, I WOULD LIKE TO ASK A DOUBT. IN THE CASE OF M3 COMMUNICATION WITH REACH 2, NO GEOTAG EDIT OF THE PHOTOS NEEDED? IN CASE THE GEOTAG THAT IS IN THE PHOTOS ARE ALREADY CORRECTED AUTOMATICALLY. AND IN CASE, VERIFICATION POINTS ARE USED TO VERIFY THE ACCURACY. CONGRATULATIONS

    Why should you take CGP as the drone is equipped with RTK module ?
    From my understanding it´s useless.

      RTK module helps increase the system's accuracy. The question is how do you verify the data? that would be using GCP's.

      We use GCPs mostly when mapping long (power line) routes. For 30 km we usually use 5-6 GCPs to enhance the accuracy. But we're talking cm accuracy. So yes - it would absolutely go without GCPs - and when mapping whole citys etc. we don't use them at all. No need for that if you only need 2-3cm (external/global) accuracy.

      @@droneoccitanie Since we're in the EU where I work, we (sadly) have to split the 30km in a few smaller parts😉. So for those power line inspections/ mappings we use the DJI Matrice 300 RTK with the standard DJI Pilot app. For processing the data we use Agisoft Metashape.

      Both Mavic 3E and Mavic 3T are equipped with a 12MP Zoom camera, supporting up to 56× Max Hybrid Zoom.
