    Holy cow 🐄 the little lady. 😳 U make this look so easy. I've been really wanting to try this type of artistic creativity. But have been so nervous. Then I ordered a few supplies. I got these basic items in a couple months ago. I tried 1 time & I messed up kinda put everything away. Scared to try again bc wood costs more than paper 📃 Aren't we all on limited dollars these days, right. So I try to watch a video or 2 each day regarding pyography. Yesterday, we got my supplies back out & set up a simple, organized atmosphere at our kitchen table. I used a stencil, instead of free handing a design. I watched some calm videos on TH-cam University & prayed 🙏 for calmness & peace. I will tell u that this project has turned out so much, like way far better!! Is it something I can sell as a masterpiece 🤔 Nope! But it did prove to me that I am learning from U & other folks right here✅️ 😉
    Thank u for ur time ⏲️

    I am going to give this a try as soon as my kit gets here. However i wonder why you wear a glove on your right hand? Love your work! I am a photographer and thik this is my next step to convert some of my photography to wood burning.

    • @MinisaWoodBurningUniversity
      @MinisaWoodBurningUniversity  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's awesome that you're starting wood burning! I wear a glove on my right hand because it helps protect against accidental burns. Sometimes your hand can get hot while holding the burner and a glove helps a little bit. However, I found that working on an inclined surface helps the most to keep your hand cool. I hope this helps!

      Hi! I use basswood. You can find some of my favorite pieces of wood on my Amazon affiliate storefront: www.amazon.com/shop/woodburninguniversity
      (P.S. since I'm an affiliate, I may receive a small commission if you purchase from the storefront. Thank you!)

    Gorgeous! It's amazing how you use just one tip! Thanks for sharing! On a side note, what brand glove are you wearing? Where'd you buy it? My Walnut tool handle get super hot and I haven't found a good heat resistant, form-fitting glove yet...yours looks to have a nice fit, not too big. Thanks!

    • @MinisaWoodBurningUniversity
      @MinisaWoodBurningUniversity  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a glove that I bought about 10 years ago at my local Walmart. It's a simple gardening glove from Midwest Gloves and Gear. That particular model is no longer available, but that company makes nice gloves and you can find them at most Walmart stores. It doesn't block out all the heat, but it does help and also protects against accidental burns. I hope this helps! :)

    I know I’m a little late to the party here. But do you prefer or recommend using a solid tip burner over a wire one for the big/really dark areas? In the process of burning a black background and was wondering if I should switch to a solid tip for the big areas

    Fabulous work Minisa!
    I learned more than a few things in this one video.
    One thing that I would like to know though: where's a good place to a get a piece of wood like what you have there (bark edges) and what type of wood do you recommend for elaborate detail like this train?
