    I've been a self taught artist ( if thats what you could call me LOL ) all my life ,i've done trompe murals ? rock painting etc etc , just bought myself a good wood burner I found this easier to do than any paint. Daughter just bought a cafe & gave me 4 huge old chopping boards which I sanded back & I burnt a ad for her cafe on one for a gift ( a surprize 4 her ) to be honest you wouldnt know it was my 1 st attempt. I can't wait to do something on the others but I really enjoyed your video I learnt a lot , thank you..

    I like how the grain of the wood worked with the eyes.

    Thank you for the real time video using the shading point. I haven't been able to quite get the hang of using that point until watching your video. Love your work!

    Hi Minisa. I have just acquired an interest in pyrography, haven't practically tried it yet. I am looking to get a wood burner. I have been watching TH-cam videos to have an idea of what is entailed. The way you explain and guide on what you are doing is so concise. Thank you for taking the time to make your instructional videos. I have subscribed to your channel !!

    Lab Dogman here...this is the first time I've seen you in an instructional vid. Have you done more? I loved it! Looks like you were burning on paper.?.?.? I have a Versatool also but can't get it hot enough to get your results when burning on birch. So, I bought a Colwood to get the darks dark enough on wood. Still am a big admirer of your talent and was mesmerized watching you burn (that didn't come out right) watching you work. I hope to see a lot more. Enjoy your snow.

      Thank you, yes I've posted a few time-lapse videos and another instructional video here on my channel. I haven't posted much over the years because I was focused on making the instructional DVDs and book. Now that those projects are finished I plan to create more online tutorials. :)

I am a woonwork maker so this is not an area I would normally watch, but this was beyond fantastic. Thank you so much, I may enen go out and buy some 'burning' equipment and try my hand at this, I will subscribe to patrion shoul I persue this. Thank you.

    • @MinisaWoodBurningUniversity
      @MinisaWoodBurningUniversity  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're very welcome. Whenever you work on smaller subjects it can be quite difficult to add in those details. I would suggest using a very small point and doing the best you can. I really love little details so I prefer to work on larger pieces. I hope this helps :)

      Hi Caroline. Thank you! Yes, I am still making videos on Patreon and you'll have access to all the videos upon signing up. The past couple of months have been very crazy for me and I've been a little slow adding material to Patreon, however I'll be posting much more now that the holidays are over.

    Where do you find that kind of tip for a wood burner?

    • @MinisaWoodBurningUniversity
      @MinisaWoodBurningUniversity  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use the Walnut Hollow Creative Versa-Tool woodburner and it comes with the shading point, which looks like a small, pointy leaf.

    Lab again.....I forgot to mention, you might like to watch a TH-cam vid or 2 from an artist named Michael James Smith. If you have the time, you might find it entertaining.

    This is amazing! I have a Versatool. Do you used this tip alot. This glove that you have own I need to but one. How much is this patreon.com. I really like your style of art.

    • @MinisaWoodBurningUniversity
      @MinisaWoodBurningUniversity  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Ron and thank you for your interest in my art! Yes, I use the Versa-Tool and shading point for most of my work. The glove that I use was purchased at my local Walmart about 10 years ago. It's a simple gardening glove and unfortunately they don't make that kind any more. I wear it mostly to protect against accidental burns while working. The most popular level on Patreon is $10 a month and this gives you access to all my projects and patterns, most of them are full-length videos with instruction but I'm also creating written PDF tutorials for some of the projects too. I hope this helps and let me know if you have any more questions. :) -Minisa
