    Will hopefully have another full detail video to film soon where I can really put this thing to the test

    I'd love to do my own paint correction with a polisher but I just don't have the nerve to touch tarmac black with anything more than a cloth. I used a slab of bunnings hardwood bench top on a steel frame, its a lot less noisey and when it gets old it can be replaced easy. A wood vice at one end and a steel vice at the other

      Mitsu paint is pretty easy as it doesn't take much to get 90% better so usually the last aggressive option the better.
      I could have just gone with a timber top but I wanted the stainless.
      I guess I'll just have to live with putting a few scratches

    Thanks for the video.
    Perhaps you could do another video and talk more about the polisher specifically. How much did it vibrate? Did it get hot when using it? How long did the battery last?
    That to me is more pertinent than showing something you polished with it.

      I'll definitely do an update video when I do the next car and get a few hours use out of it.
      Wanted to do an unboxing and first thoughts video first though and had that small piece to polish so worked out well for a video

      Bob. I can tell you the head/top area on my unit gets hot. That is after dumping 1 entire battery through it, with the small DA head attachment.
      Vibration is almost nothing. Unit is light and very easy to use. Great little polisher, but the heat buildup near the top/90 degree axis does concern a little. (I wonder if opening the unit up and replacing with decent grease would help?)

      @@Ian_P Thank you Ian. I greatly appreciate your info.
      I have been wanting a mini polisher and believe I will buy this one.
      The head heating up is a concern, but it must not have been deal breaker lest you would have said so.
      Thank you again

      @@bobwilson2682 👍 All good Bob. I watched a few more TH-cam reviews/usages of the polisher today. One TH-camr used the heck out of it on a boat in searing heat and he never mentioned the heat issue and neither have others on the TH-cams. 👍😁
      I'd buy it, great price for a great little unit.

    From the looks of how he tighten the backing plate & counter weight . I prayed for the tiny polisher. If the polisher spinning clockwise, for me it's considered shelf tightening.

    • @EvolvedDetails
      @EvolvedDetails  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Last thing I'd want is it flying off and damaging the paint on someone's car I only used the supplied tools to tighten as specified in the instructions

    That looks like a beast of a polisher for the price, especially considering what it comes with. Cabinets look awesome too especially the stainless top. You could prep food on that thing 🤣

      Yeah I'm very happy with it for the price and will definitely be putting it through it's paces over the next few cars I detail.
      Thanks I'm so happy with the cabinets now and hope to get the garage completely finished in the next 6 months

    Another great video. Those mini-polishers are brilliant. Don't be intimidated by the rotary function either, I was initially but have really come to appreciate that mode. With rotary, the smaller the pad, the less aggressive the action. The opposite for D/A. And the garage cabinets look fantastic. I'm assuming those are MAXIM from Just Pro Tools? I have been adding them slowly to my garage as time and funds allow, they are great value for money.

    • @EvolvedDetails
      @EvolvedDetails  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks mate yeah I'll def try out the rotary function soon as it seems to be a good way to learn to use a rotary.
      And yes they are the Maxim from just pro tools, I looked at so many and decided on these and definitely glad I did

      @@dfbsgarageI agree! The da is great for cutting and correction but rotary function is best for polishing.

      When I do a full car next I'll have a better idea but for small parts and wheels it's done well and haven't 1 battery always on charge is great
