For anyone new to the coilover life. Expect these coilovers to last around 50k miles then they will likely need to be serviced. Last i checked, the cost is around $900 for Fortune Auto rebuild/refresh your set. Plus you need to pay to ship them to their facility. Likely another $100 for shipping due to the weight of the package. I would highly recommend you keep your OEM suspension. The lifespan of coilovers do not last nearly as long as the factory MacPherson struts.
@FosterJohnsonMedia It's a good FYI. Pretty much all the videos and marketing of coilovers mention all the pros of the product but don't mention the cons. Many owners; their Subaru is there only car. So when the day comes you have to send out the coilovers to the FA factory, your car will be sitting on jack stands for a few weeks atleast. My comment is to bring awareness to new people looking to buy coilovers. It's not all sunshine and rainbows.
I love the extended shock travel. I hate some fortunes on my Gd and it has always felt like i needed a smidge more travel when driving on poorly maintained back roads.
It's just another partnership with Fortune Auto. But honestly, I recently bought a set of Cygnus coilovers from him that were $2400 and they are not worth the price. A set of Tein Flex Z coilovers are $850 and they ride every bit as good as these premium offerings from FA/Cygnus. For the money, I wish I just bought Ohlins since it was only about $200 more for a set of their coilovers.
Annex or Cygnus Performance?....is the IAG coilover a Cygnus Performance colab since Cygnus Performance tweaks the F-A500 to make their X-1 coilover. Now these IAGs coilovers pop up...
Great looking coilovers.. But, since these are Fortune Auto 500 'rebrands', where does the extra $200 come from? IAG coilovers are ~$2,000 vs Fortune Auto 500 at ~$1,800. Just curious if there is an improvement compared to the reg FA 500's.. 🤔 (maybe I should have watched the video fully first.. 😏 I think I have my answer to my question..)
Its the same thing as the cygnus... people just wanna resell FA's, claiming they arent the same.. tho Geoff Cygnus is a moron, and you couldnt give me a set of his coilovers..
Honestly, this looks like you guys are just buying stuff, taking off the actual company who makes the parts and stick your own name for resale. No actual R&D just sales pitch. Iag turbo blanket (not iags) new coilovers, (clearly not yours) I can’t buy anything iag just for this reason. FactionFab is what these are. Can’t wait to see the up sale for this. Lol, actually, why not just go all out and make iag calipers. Plenty of china calipers that you can stick a brembo sticker and your company name. Terrible
These are rebranded Fortune Autos, not Faction Fab, thats a big difference in quality, but yes they are price gouging customers with these. You can literally order a custom set of FA's with whatever spring rate you want, for less.
They are Fortune Autos however I feel like the price should have been the same if not cheaper with these specs…. I already have FA’s though. why is there a delay on only the VB’s though?
@iamchrisdammit There are very few companies who actually “make” every coilover component themselves. The idea of us completely designing a coilover lineup from the ground up while remaining price competitive is simply not feasible. Instead we decided to work with FA who has many years of development knowledge to create a product that performs to our standards. We did months of testing our prototype coilovers on the street and the track before releasing these - and provided feedback to FA to come up with our street series coilover lineup 👍
Dude has a point though. The average customer isn't gonna care enough about IAG'S favorite flavor of damping settings to pay the premium over regular FA500's. These are a recolor so you can get a share of the coilover market. Its obvious. Stick to proprietary products.

By that logic you might as well never modify your car. But that's no fun! Most performance parts comes with a shorter service life

appreciate this comment. good to know the cons as well as the pros before making a big purchase like this.
It’s a valid point. We suggest you keep your stock suspension so your car is never out of commission!

That GoPro shot under the car was really cool!
If I agree make a built motor for brz it would be good
Awesome, was waiting to see these drop!
but but but... how does Geoff Cygnus feel about this? only hes allowed to re-color FAs
😂😂😂

So what choice of springs and, with the correct bottom mounts, would you put these on a '05 to '09 LGT?

@juanticimo I got a set of Cygnus coilovers that I would like to tempt you with 😅 Need the money to buy the Ohlins like I should have the first time.
They mentioned in the video that the springs are longer so it should provide more of a comfortable ride over bumps.
Is there going to be an option for the vb wrx?
Yes we will have VB kits on our website next week. We have been waiting on a bushing which is why it was delayed

One of the bushings in the VB kit was delayed which is why those haven’t launched yet. We were told they will ship to us next week!

Why are y'all neglecting the 2022+ WRX crowd?
We were waiting for one more bushing to come in for the 22+ WRX Coilovers. These should be available for sale for the VBs later this week.
Is that why they don’t make subispeed videos because this guy left and went with iag
Yes
How about the VBs
The VB kits should be shipping to us next week, so soon!
127 travel in rear?
No wonder my normal Fa 500’s ride like crap. 😂
The softer spring rates and extended travel do make a big difference 💯
Why buy these when Racecomp exists 😂.
why buy racecrap when Ohlins exist. 😂
@@brian6speed ohlins dfv ain't that good.
