After watching 10 or so of this man's videos, beginning with the high speed Barrett, I've officially pinned this man as the most terrifying father-in-law of all time.
I’ve spent a lot of time (and ammo) with a couple of .44 magnums. It has long been my favorite caliber. What he does, bringing the muzzle back on target, is nothing short of amazing.
John Lovell It's so awesome that I watch your stuff, and then find out you watch the same stuff I do. This is the second time I've found a comment from you.
Whitehawkvisionfilms I’m a late bloomer with Jerry’s videos but where the ?$&@ CAN I BUY A WHOLE BOX OF .44 MAGNUM REVOLVERS?!?!?!? 😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Good catch, Man! I missed it!
If you actually practice with a shot timer you will realize how much skill Jerry has. This is beyond impressive and I’m glad S&W sponsors him to do this. It is incomprehensible how much skill this man has. It is second nature instinct to say the least.
I love watching Jerry's videos. He's not only a frigging machine, but you can tell he really enjoys what he does, and enjoys sharing it with us. I'd love to spend some time at the range with him.
same!!! They are both entertaining to watch... Jerry is the king of speed shooting and hickock45's shooting range is a shooter's dream come true. Also the video where hickock45 rides a bicycle and shoots an uzi has gotten so popular I have seen it on instagram memes.
Dickok45 is no where near the caliber Jerry is! Plus Jerry's humor is funny. dickok45 is a VERY VERY dry almost trying t be humor. Dickok45 also just shows&shoots regular guns. Jerry's guns are tricked out and he shoots with a purpose
@@gator5566 - You're comparing apples to oranges. They are two very different people with very distinctive styles. Jerry shoots for a living while Hickok45 shoots for enjoyment and educational purposes.
1st shot low left, 2nd high right, 3&4 dead center, 5&6 low right on a moving target. All in 1 second. It’s amazing to see how fast he adapts to the gun and corrects. Less than 1/2 a second and he is deadon accurate.
Than you, Jerry! You give us all something to aspire to. I'm sure it would take me at least 2.5-3 sec to do that- if i wanted all the rounds on the steel. Lol. As an aside, i have heard many times that you are one of the greatest gentlemen in the history of the shooting sports, and maybe THE greatest. Thank you for all you do for us
I have two 44 mag revolvers and can shoot them pretty well by most people's standards, but he surely cannot be shooting full power loads here, based on recoil or the marks on the targets. If he is then in addition to his incredible speed and accuracy he must also have the strongest hands, wrists and forearms of anyone who ever lived.
Fiveo waf: For matches, I'm pretty sure competitive shooters reduce the velocity quite a bit, but here he knocks over a solid steel rifle target with legs going straight fore and aft. That takes some kind of power, and a 180 grain slug at 1500 fps muzzle velocity is standard factory ammo .44 magnum performance. So, no, nothing was slowed down for this demonstration, and that's why the target got knocked down. He has a vid on shooting technique that is quite revealing, and some of it has to do with trigger pull and reducing felt recoil (by getting the barrel as low as possible relative to your hand to reduce muzzle flip, transferring the energy straight back into your shoulder through the arm, as well as grip technique). Plus, he uses the isosceles stance for stability and control and quick target acquisition (don't drop or cock your head, or crouch, etc., just bring the weapon up to your eye level with your face square to the target), as well as for engaging multiple targets without dropping the rounds (rainbowing) as you go from center to side. I would recommend that you watch that video and take notes, he explains not only the how of his technique, but also the why.
I think he knocks the target over due to the number of rapid hits, one after the other, but cannot tell how hot his loads are. I usually shoot a 240 gr at 1200-1400 fps depending on the ammo. How he can get back on target so quickly is what amazes me.
Fiveo waf: Definitely, I think it took multiple rounds in extreme rapid fire to topple it, but 180 grain rounds going 850 fps or even 1100 wouldn't do that. He said himself that he was firing 180 grain slugs at about 1500 fps. There are some factory rounds that are way faster (1675 and I think 1700+), but there are some slower, too, with 1500 fps being a good, standard round, from what I've seen. Check out the video again, I distinctly recall him saying that he was firing 180's at 1500 fps, so no cold rounds in this demonstration, and I'm not going to call him a liar. Jerry is acknowledged everywhere as the world's greatest all-around rapid fire shooter, at least with any kind of pistol or rifle. Check out his vids, he's been doing this for a long time.
Jerry...you are a legend! I love that you still laugh insanely every time you finish firing anything! "If you love your work it ceases to be work" is obviously a saying made by someone who has watched you shooting in your videos! I laugh each time at you laughing! best speed shooting videos on TH-cam by a long way imho!
He is so fast, that while the target falls it already received the entire payload of 6 rounds. You do NOT , want to enter Jerry's home uninvited, that is a very short lived adventure. It always, impresses me greatly the skill this man has..
I was so excited I forgot to look at the sights! This guy is SO DAMN GOOD, he can kill a man 6 times before he hits the ground and not even look at the sights!
It's a pleasure watching you shoot. Still trying to follow some of the freebees on the interwebs you dropped to be a fast and accurate shooter. Thank you Jerry! I think I can be an Olympic shooter
No contest. Jerry will likely be one of the fastest shooters in the world all the way up until the day he dies of old age. He was born to fire revolvers faster than any man has or ever will.
Hickok is more about the slow distance shots, basically shooting pistols at rifle ranges.. Miculek is speed and combat distances. Very different methodologies.
Some years ago, I had a Ron Power Grand Master 629 that I used for action and pin shooting, and I was always afraid to fire full power magnum loads through it. I used a Ruger Redhawk for the heavy stuff. Though I couldn't hope to approach Jerry's level of expertise, I must saw that there's nothing as wonderful as a S&W revolver, especially one that's been worked by a great pistolsmith.
His accuracy and aim is extremely impressive at the rate hes firing, that is not easy with all that recoil to reposition himself in a split second like that.
G I T S O M E ! ! ! What a master, whew. He didn't get to the stature where he is by casual shooting twice a month either. Such fun to watch and admire this guy. .
Only miserable and demented people would give thumbs down to such a great man and his supernatural ability to shot this fast and accurate. World is full of weak and demented individuals who praise weakness and hate what they cant achieve.
anyone else notice he also emptied the brass so fast that it was still hot and he had to shack his hand didn't even see him unload but there they are in his hand, had to watch it twice
I have a 629 classic 5" classic and I train every chance I get. One day I hope to be on par with this video but I know better than to reach towards a gods domain 🇺🇸 much love Jerry
I love how he reflexively just unloads the empty cases. Doesn't even look, and we can't even see it. By the time he turns around and says, "Get some!", the gun is empty! That's pretty great gun safety.
After watching 10 or so of this man's videos, beginning with the high speed Barrett, I've officially pinned this man as the most terrifying father-in-law of all time.

I can just hear his introductory speech to his daughters potential suitors.
"I'm Jerry. Husband to Kay, Father to Lena, and Wrecker of your Shit".
interestingly his daughters boyfriend films and edits all his videos
Shooting a .44 flat out makes everyone giggle - I liked the "Get some" at the end.
I just love how happy and child like he gets after a shoot...how many years of doing this and he still gets stoked...awesome
I’ve spent a lot of time (and ammo) with a couple of .44 magnums. It has long been my favorite caliber. What he does, bringing the muzzle back on target, is nothing short of amazing.
This S&W 629 has a select fire model.Safe,Semi, and Jerry Miculek mode
He's no stranger to hand guns. Jerry got that talent by knowing his fire
arms inside and out over a long period of time.
This is gun *banned in California.* It has a *rapid fire cylinder clip magazine* AND no external safety. 😜🤭😆 Alert the libtard gun experts.
So...fully automatic???

That must take much experience to realign that fast upon recoil!
Love how excited he still is
yeah it's good when someone enjoys what he is doing :)
I love watching Jerry's videos. He's not only a frigging machine, but you can tell he really enjoys what he does, and enjoys sharing it with us. I'd love to spend some time at the range with him.
Holy shit. I went to the range with my 4 inch 629. 240 grain today. Holy shit watching this is like watching a magic trick. Miculek is a legend.
but he was using girly rounds only 180 and you were using 240 hahahaha
Jerry is the fastest, most accurate shooter in the entire world. I love watching him shoot steel targets. He almost never misses.
Agreed, but what is the safe minimum distance to shoot steel with a .44 Magnum?
LOL......Jerry and hickok45.....I can't watch them shoot without a giant grin breaking out across my face.....
they are awesome people.

This is absolutely insane. Having fired a 629, how he does this given the kickback is mind boggling.
