I liked it when he says get your VCR ready. Lot of shooters today 2022. Under the age of 30 maybe 40. Wouldn't know what a VCR is. Lol. Jerry a younger man, he must be 60+ now.
Nah, I think a lot of us (I’m a 30 year old shooter myself) have an appreciation for older tech - it lends itself to the shooting hobby, really. Plenty of firearms out there still in use that are 3+ times my own age!
@Ferrariman601 I'm in my 20's but my 270 is from the early 70's its still gorgeous with its basket weave handle and pump action grip and deer on the stock and leather sling and it shoots just as straight as it did when it was made
I was there, watching these records being set. It was in 2004, the year before Katrina, and the last year of the NPSC at Jackson. I managed to get one of the targets he shot and got him to autograph it.
Cool throwback... Jerry was just a "young gun" on this one! Love the "punch the record button on your VCR!". The host's style and delivery kinda reminds me of John Davis on those good old/retro Motorweek Shows too!
To be fair he has decades of practice. I think worsening eyesight isn't going to change that :") he's just been training for so long. Like his wife and daughter, the whole family lives for competitive shooting.
Man does this bring back memories. Grew up watching this show with my dad and it’s prob responsible for my love for guns that haunts my wallet to this day
The rate of fire on that five shot string is significantly faster than an M3 sub machinegun (Grease gun). The 60 shot string was about half the rate of the grease gun including the time to pick up each gun. Almost super human.
I read McGiverns book when I was a kid. I was impressed that not only was he good but he was from Montana, you know “God’s Country”. He musta read the book better than me. I’d need a machinegun just to keep close to Jerry’s speed. My hat’s of to you. I am truly impressed!
This video claims MCGivern set his record with a Model 64. Ed McGivern died in December 1957 (the year S&W first assigned model numbers to their guns). The stainless steel Model 64 was introduced in 1970.
I can't do this with my revolvers any day of the week. This is like me trying to shoot fast in Steel Challenge competitions. Some of the Master level shooters ping the five steel plates in less than 3 seconds. I'm nowhere close.
I completely agree when it comes to drawing from a holster. However, Jerry’s records involve reloads and follow up shots. Bob Munden’s shooting an aspirin in the air was amazing as were so many of his accomplishments.
Great shooting truly amazing. I do wonder though if it may possibly be quicker to shoot the guns from right to left as he is right handed? Just a thought. He would not have to sort of put the fired gun down then go up and over the next one to pick it up, but just put the fired gun down and reach to the next on the left, as his hand would already be there?

Damn I love the VCR and VHS. You could skip all the trailers and advertising crap unlike DVDs and BluRays. Proud late '90's/early 2000's kid!

He is 67 years old, born September 7, 1954.
I miss the 90’s. When TV wasn’t faking everything you watch.
Jerry Miculek is an American treasure!
His speed is incredible.
Global treasure, like a human M134.
@@user-rh8hc9gy7d he defies explanation. Fin.
OVER RATED
Ed McGivern was the "MAN". If you've spent time studying his work, you'll soon realize that Mr. McGivern becomes a mentor through his written work.
Wow. They broke the mold after Jerry Miculek was made. I wish Smith & Wesson would sell a Factory “Jerry Miculek trigger finger.”
Jerry Miculek for BATFE Director. (Nuff'Said.)
Shooting USA is WOEFULLY underrated!!!
The GOAT. Thank you very much. Have a blessed week.
Great guy. Class act and fun to watch! Glad his daughter is competing now too! Keeping it in the family!
She's his wife...
@@Johnconno lena is his daughter…

That's is awesome.
That is cool
I used to love American handgunner magazine I've known about this guy since about 88. He's a legend
Love the vintage footage as well as seeing more of the show. Jerry's prowess knows no bounds!
I love watching this like a time piece, the clothes, people, atmos..Best period of Human history!
Shit, I was thinking the same thing… society was way more civilized back then-
Cool throwback... Jerry was just a "young gun" on this one! Love the "punch the record button on your VCR!". The host's style and delivery kinda reminds me of John Davis on those good old/retro Motorweek Shows too!
"This will be the time to punch the record button on your VCR." Damn this is old.
I remember watching this episode when I was a teenager. Lol
Jerry isn't just a revolver savant, he can shoot anything at a world class level.
I used to love this show!! I remember seeing this...Jerry is such a legend!!
💢💯💢
It doesn't get easier when you get older. Jerry works hard at his craft!
To be fair he has decades of practice. I think worsening eyesight isn't going to change that :") he's just been training for so long. Like his wife and daughter, the whole family lives for competitive shooting.
Jerry is always smiling and happy, a true gentleman...
My favorite is “get ready to set your VCR”.. oh the days of pausing the commercials!! Lol
I’m glad there’s great shows like this, they bring out the best in are shooting sports,
So amazing. We all know about trigger fatigue. 60 shots, you can start to hear the gradual slow down after the 5th or 6th gun.
Man does this bring back memories. Grew up watching this show with my dad and it’s prob responsible for my love for guns that haunts my wallet to this day
This is old footage but classic and awesome stuff! I've learned some things by watching Jerry and practicing at the range.

No matter how many times I see it i cant believe it. Truly extraordinary
always do a good job miculek
Love to see these old segments from ShootingUSA. I would love to know where those pistols ended up, they'd be some collectable S&W's
This is why I love America . Best of the best when it comes to ammo and shooter. U.S been holding and breaking shooting records in the whole world.
My brain auto corrected to the title to "Jerry Miculek Two world wars"
Thank you for the show.
He dryfired all five trigger pulls without moving a muscle. What a legend

🇵🇱 ❤ 🇺🇲 Jerry the best.
Miculek is one of a kind. You have to be born with hands that can pull the trigger as fast as Miculek does.
Jerry can shoot. Amazing
Who the hell is still recording on a VCR these days? Have I gone back in time?.....love it...
This video is from 2004
I still have 2 VCRs that work and I still have a big 32" CRT TV
Just awesome. Thanks.
great show thanks
As a kid I loved this show and dreamed one day I’d have a room like their set… I guess you can say I’ve arrived man cave/reloading room/ gun vault …✅
He’s Freaking Amazing, as always!🇺🇸👍🏼
Bob Munden & Jerry Miculek, legends !
Nice one Jerry. God bless

There is a video on Jerry's channel shooting an M3 (th-cam.com/video/TgFDNHBD8Ko/w-d-xo.html). It's really funny how he reacts to the rate of fire.
He's the human version of fully-auto.
Almost fell out of my chair when he forgot to load up one. That was priceless.
Jerry the fastest machine gun. Well done. 👍
Legend and class act

Mr. Miculek is a true master & a gentleman! Amazing!
60 shots in 17 seconds world record! It will remain that way for centuries to come
The Scouttens are the voice of American Firearms. Jerry, Bob, Julie, James and Byron are the best! RIP Bob.
Great man,awesome ..
Jerry is not the fastest man...... He is a Machine!
He is awesome when it comes to a pistol, his daughter is a long gun legend already, they are an amazing duo
He is awesome 😮
Legend!
It's the ten-revolver holster that'll slow Jerry down. It's heavy.
This is awesome
What a legend 👌🏻😎
i was 19 when he won, crazy how fast time goes by
Already the best in the world.
That was great.
Good job Jerry, Ed would be proud my friend😁😎👍
I'll never understand how this man is able to shoot this way. He's a true anomaly.
Decades of training.
My nephew is Army special forces, Jerry has shot with Delta force operators, the very few that beat Jerry are heros to other operators.
LOL. I guess the ones that beat him decided to not go on the record books after they retired. NOT
Wow! Go Jerry!
Excelente 👍👏👏👏
People like him made the old days wild west safe fasssssssssssest guns in the west!!!!!
Awesome.
Wonderful job Jerry!!! I noticed that with the last two revolvers in his set one can hear him slow up.
He's a legend.

My Idol...
ATF “Mr Miculek, we’re here to see if you have a tax stamp for your index finger?”

I can't do this with my revolvers any day of the week. This is like me trying to shoot fast in Steel Challenge competitions. Some of the Master level shooters ping the five steel plates in less than 3 seconds. I'm nowhere close.

Lol, i never thought of that!
This guy is pretty quick. But if Bob Munden was standing next to him. There's no competition. That guy is insanely fast.
I completely agree when it comes to drawing from a holster. However, Jerry’s records involve reloads and follow up shots. Bob Munden’s shooting an aspirin in the air was amazing as were so many of his accomplishments.
Both amazing shooters
Vintage gold... Get Some!
This video is so American a bald eagle landed on my shoulder by the end of the intro
Jerry is the goat
Jerry still looks pretty much the same today lol. He's took care of himself pretty well.
Great shooting truly amazing. I do wonder though if it may possibly be quicker to shoot the guns from right to left as he is right handed? Just a thought. I love in the old days the guy throwing the clay is in front of the shooter LOL!
25 September 2003. Dang they all look young!!
Vintage for sure.
This is so American....I love it!
