In a market where keltec sub2Ks are selling for $450-500, the price of this is in line with that. In a normal market the sub2K would be at $349 and this FPC would be at $450-499. I would have preferred less of a dumptruck of a stock. If it held just one magazine and kept it slimmer it would be easier to put in a laptop bag or backpack. Still, everything else about it looks fantastic! I hope the price comes down and the aftermarket makes a slimmer stock. All that being said, they sure sold out the first batch fast!

@RawBot When I bought mine it was around that price. I damn sure wouldn’t pay $600 for the S&W. The KelTec and this S&W aren’t home defense guns IMO, they’re fun little backpack toys.🍻
My issue with keltec isn’t the Lego look it’s the lack of reliability. I’ve own four, two were complete trash. A p3at .380 and the .22 mag semi auto. The two sub 2000’s were good. The extractor on the .380 bent every two mags. Wasn’t properly heat treated. Replaced the extractor twice before I figured out what was wrong and heat treated it myself. The .22 mag was junk before and after it was sent in to get “fixed”. One of the sub 2000’s front sight is all the way to one side just to have it sighted in. At least they run though.
Sub 2k is always in stock near me, I just can't stand shooting the one my dad has. To be fair it's not accurate compared to cheaper 9's but at least it jams up all the time to make up for it.
I think this has refined the kel tec design to a level that’s good enough for home defense. This is coming out at the right time too with the brace ban coming. I wouldn’t use one over a stribog or a scorpion, but I think s&w just set the bar for cheapest Pcc I would take seriously( ruger charger and extar gen2 not withstanding). Now in a year when all the major pcc come out with their “solution” to the brace ban(16” barrel, folding) it may be a new king
Wow, I like this Guy! What a nice intro of the new carbine. Now I want one. Folding stock? WOW! Guess I’ll be stopping by the warehouse tomorrow! Thanks Jerry for the great review!🇺🇸
Thanks for the show Jerry! You're my inspiration for the competition! I'm trying to get competitive with my little m&p. I'm going to gun range as often as I can.
Seeing this, I immediately had a question that sadly wasn't answered in the review. Will it take aftermarket triggers for current m&p pistols? One of the things I loved about m&ps is that even though the factory triggers have often left a lot to be desired; aftermarket kits, like those from Apex, can bring the triggers further ahead in crispness and feedback than most other striker fired platforms can get to.
Man SW is really impressing me. I feel the pros of having a good, hopefully reliable carbine right out of your back pack outweighs any cons it may have. A very interesting useful design that looks like a blast to shoot!
Back in the '80s I bought a Marlin Camp 9 carbine at Canton First Monday Trade Days. I replaced the wood stock with an aftermarket Choate 5-Position Collapsible Rifle Stock with Pistol Grip Marlin Camp 9 Synthetic Black. Fun plinker. Have two S&W 9mm pistolas too. Next plinker I'm getting is the .380 ACP Hi-Point carbine. I have the little pocket packer Ruger .380
Two of my favorite guys in the gun tube area Miculek and Chris from honest outlaw both putting out these products video so close, leads me to believe that as an investor and as an enjoyer of the s&w products, I've got my poop pretty well in a group 🤷🏼♂️😂
I have my second PMR30: 1st have some knowledge of weapons, I also had several jamming issues. I fixed the jamming issues by filing down my magazine. Almost completely eliminated. Ammo malfunction. There are a few brands that simply didn't work well. Federal was the worst, I had issues with 30 grain Remington. I had zero problems with CCI making mags 40 grain. Hornaday critical defense was great. Also I bought N ammo feeder that's works great. 30 rounds were much easier. Otherwise no more than 26 without problems shooting and damaging the rounds. They do have a kit to improve on several parts, highly recommend getting that, cost about $150.00. Great trigger, I haven't done it yet but my brother got his done. Keltec won't admit any issues with jamming. They are wrong, but then they made another issue with improved parts. If intrested I can show you how I fixed several my magazines to help stop the jamming. This makes it a very reliable pistol. I can shoot 26 bullets as fast as you can pull the trigger. With that said. I really love Rock Island. I have a. Ice .45 and their prices are very good. The reason theirs was more expensive because you got two guns in one. Thanks

Hey JERRY!!!
I LOVE 80 - 95 grain bullets !!!!
HELP BRING BACK the TOKAREV!!!!
YOU have THE POWER!!!
I love how he laughs after distributing the canned corn. Shooting can be fun.
Great job Jerry!!! As usual. Thank you for sharing....
Imagine breaking into this mans house and you hear him chuckle and his shot timer BEEP!!!
LOL!
Very very outstanding video. Great job. Wonderful presentation. Please keep up the good work. Thanks a lot friend. SC Navy vet. 1965.
Jerry, you win! Your the best shooter ever! CARRY ON!!!
I would love to see Jerry come out with an upgraded trigger for it...and have some fun proving how good that thing is.👍
awsome preview! Jerry's right hand and arm are jacked from all the shooting he does!
Man SW is really impressing me. I feel the pros of having a good, hopefully reliable carbine right out of your back pack outweighs any cons it may have. A very interesting useful design that looks like a blast to shoot!
Really nice accurate small rifle.
Need one in .45 or 10mm
Back in the '80s I bought a Marlin Camp 9 carbine at Canton First Monday Trade Days. I replaced the wood stock with an aftermarket Choate 5-Position Collapsible Rifle Stock with Pistol Grip Marlin Camp 9 Synthetic Black. Fun plinker. Have two S&W 9mm pistolas too. Next plinker I'm getting is the .380 ACP Hi-Point carbine. I have the little pocket packer Ruger .380
Also a camp 9 fan. Wish I had gotten the 45 too when they were so affordable
Have a question, hope someone can help, not sure if you noticed Jerry uses both the plug and earmuffs , is it just for additional protection?
Thanks
This man is a national treasure. 👏
Jerry, in the best ways, you remind me of my dear grandfather who is one pf the best friends I ever had. Thank you for sharing your joy with all of us shooters. May God bless you and keep you in good health.
Can't wait to get my hands on one! Love my Keltec sub2000 and am excited about this one. Seen a lot of mixed emotions with this in the keltec groups but chances are those are more mcarbo than Keltec anyways lol
Wish they would make a new Red Dawn where Jerry had at least a 20 minute scene, where he's like casted as a classic gun store owner, with plaid shirt tucked in, and he pretty much causes a lot of enemy casualties and stuff..
(3) 27 round magazines + 1 chambered = 82 rounds on the gun 👍🏼
Comes with 2-23 round and 1-17 round. 27 s are his personal mags
it will not fold with a round in the chamber. but still plenty of rounds available.
Ok, so as an AR9 owner and proponent, it is awesome to see Jerry shoot this thing. And being wary of new products, having him review it gives a lot of confidence...
He's a S&W guy..sooo
@@chanceme72 agree, but he is also a very reputable and respected figure in shooting...
@@jimpalmer4061 yes,I have met him.
Looks great. It should come with a flash hider from the factory. Also wish it took glock mags (great for M&P fanboys but glock mags are EVERYWHERE). Mag position in stock is upside down but that's engineers for you. Love the videos Jerry!
M&P mags are everywhere too.
It's a *pistol* caliber carbine. It shoots rounds meant to expel all the powder in a 5 inch barrel out of a 16 inch barrel. There's no flash to hide my dude.
Yep, it would be easy to injection mold a mag well for Glock mags. Just a core change in the tool.
@@cavalieroutdoors6036 but they make them for a ton of 9mm carbines. Would be better than a thread protector.
@@russellridge8623 i also have sig mags and beretta mags. but still have more glock mags
Bought one...going through the background check...will pick it up next week...looks light...every video i have talked about it being accurate....
We saw one shot when in reality he shot 27 times
And? Why does that matter?
The human shotgun
@@ardogon you must be new to viewing jerry.
@@xSavageNoobx it was supposed to be a joke
Jerry is AWESOME! 👍😀
oh damn!!!!!I just bought one of these p.c guns....If i knew this was coming out or available i would have bought this instead..ughghhhhhh... thanks smith & Wesson....I guess im saving up again!
The review weve been waiting for :)
Would like to have one in 10mm. Great video, well paced and informative.
I love that it carries its own spare mags, so handy if you have to grab quick if something shitty is happening down the street.
One heck of a guy you sure like showing off don't ya that's why we love ya
Great video, thanks Jerry. You are always such a modest guy too; very classy
The Legend of 3 gun competitions,Mr Jerry Miculek, from Shooters Ln.Shreveport,La.
Hopefully smith will come out with versions of this in other calibers. A .45 ACP would complement my M&P .45 pistols.
I love that they still, after decades of shooting and wearing ear protection, raise their voice to speak louder when *they* put ear plugs in. Had to turn it down @4:40
I could listen to you all day! Thanks!
What a fantastic video.Thank you Jerry.
Awesome thanks Jerry great work Sir 👍
No doubt, you are one of the best sport shooter, fastest, responsible & a safe gun handler. I wish, I had trained under you - GET SOME !!!
Awesome carbine! I added vertical grip and laser sight to mine. Vertical grip had to be secured to the 3rd & 4th bottom slots because barrel would not close with it secured to the front two.
I love the solid wall of ammunition boxes behind you at the beginning of the video.
I love the comment "engage this can of corn here" - like the corn was the enemy and was going to fight back.
I could listen to you talk all day. Very informative and fun. Definitely subscribed
Thanks Jerry. Looks like fun.
Jerry really enjoys his range time! What a great smile...
Nice Carbine! Def a great addition to the home defense, family defense, and Freedom defense, Not to mention the portability.
Seems he's the only person that does any group shooting with these polymer carbines. I have a cz and I have it to head shot squirrels , I'm taking an hour or two in the mornings for an axis. Most videos are shooting steel at 30 yards or a large plate at a longer distance, not much of an evaluation if someone wants an all around carbine. Of course this gentleman can shoot serious, but he did a great showing for the accuracy of this tool
