- Tired of memorizing complicated box shapes for guitar scales? In this lesson, I'll show you a game-changing approach that makes learning scales easier and more efficient. Instead of struggling with traditional box patterns, discover how to use the 'chunking' method to break scales into smaller, manageable pieces while simultaneously learning the fretboard. This technique works for any scale - major, minor, pentatonic, or three notes per string - and will have you playing horizontally across the fretboard faster than ever before. Perfect for beginners struggling with scale memorization or intermediate players looking to break out of box patterns.
Key points covered:
Why traditional box shapes make learning harder
How to use octaves to simplify scale patterns
Quick tricks for finding octaves across the fretboard
Applying this method to different types of scales
Tips for memorizing notes on the fretboard
Great Job Bro,
I had that Aha moment with the 3NPS. I saw it with the Pentatonic and felt there was some FOMO with that approach. But the Aha moment with 3NPS, I see where there are only 7 notes and so much easier to make music with fewer strings.
Anyway.........
Thanks for sharing
Great confirmation there is no FOMO taking this approach.
Only thing I am missing out on is Frustration and that is inviting to me.
🤣🤣🤣
Yes! So glad you enjoyed the video. Yes 7 notes, it’s all there. What you said about FOMO is so true. We think we are missing something because honestly it’s so simple we refuse to accept the simplicity of it all lol 😂. Thank you so much for watching
Mate been watching videos on scales and different guitar methods for quite awhile trying to teach myself, this is the first time I've come across this tip and its a really good one and easy to understand and your delivery is great. Very interesting, I'm just a
Cowboy chord player, but maybe I can impress some of my jamb partners some how. Thanks for the lesson.
