Rhythm is so important, the most important element imo. Take the rhythm out of your fave tune and it will likely stop being your fave tune. Great lesson, thanks Suke. ✊🎸
Hearing you groove one note riffs exemplifies how feel overcomes content every time. Anyone that can make 1/4 note riffs sound funky is a true groove merchant. Great to hear you Suke🤘🏻
this has to be one of the most important lessons I have ever seen on TH-cam. Many of the guitar instructors never seem to focus on rhythm. I know all of the scales etc., but this is so important. Thank you for this. Amazing video.
I really like the way you use analogies like 'gear' and 'groupings'. Typical online chatter references things like 'color' or 'shape' which don't provide a good connection to the concept, but a rhythm is essentially a mechanical musical function-- perfect analogy that I've never heard before, but it's exactly what a guitarist experiences when they are playing. Excellent.
Thank you for making this video, this was spot on.. and gave me confidence to work on my rhythm and finally sound like what I want to be. Thanks again!!
Man…., you are an awesome teacher Suke, you have an infectious liveliness in the way you explain and demonstrate. I do believe that for the first time in my life, I will be joining a TH-cam community😮! I am so tired of being mediocre at guitar and I am convinced that you will provide the path for me to break free.
I've spent the past couple of weeks trying to get a feel for switching between the different lead rhythms (watching endless videos & trying different exercises). This is the first one that actually clicked because it connected the rhythms to the feel rather than just seeing or hearing them. Thank you so much!
This is my (old) looping rig, Ive since updated the gp-10 to the Boss Sy1000 and the looper is now the Aeros, I will prob do an updated video but the setup is the same as this th-cam.com/video/UKhlrOf-BDM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=KP5OYUhrJpOFXhaD
