Golden Retriever Gets Swimming Lessons

Meet Yukon, our 6 year old golden retriever. He enjoys going on outdoor adventures of all kinds, especially those that involve water. Like most Golden Retrievers, he loves to go swimming. However, that was not always the case. As a puppy he wanted nothing to do with water. By the time Yukon was a year old, he was a little more comfortable in and around the water, and he especially enjoyed going on canoe trips with us, but even though he liked being on the river, he still wanted nothing to do with swimming. So, we had to give him some swimming lessons. Those swimming lessons really seemed to work. He enjoys going on canoe trips more than ever and now he especially loves to swim.
