5 week old retriever puppies swim for first time

- Tiffany Emig, the owner of Enchanted Retrievers, took nine English cream golden retrievers for their first swim at the Rummy’s Beach Club in Spring, Texas, when they were five weeks old. The water will undoubtedly be intimidating for puppies at that age. But, as this video shows, the dogs rose to the challenge and dived into the pool one after the other. They’ll all be strong swimmers in no time!

What I like best about this is - the people did not force any of the dogs into the water (except maybe the 2nd to the last one, Blue Boy)...Green was the last to jump in and the people waited until he was ready. Awesome job folks!
They may not have "forced" them physically but there was a lot of aural and emotional pressure applied! 😝 Golden retrievers are bred to be unusually eager to please. And dogs as a species are generally very willing to please humans. Plus they're very young pups. Combine all three and you've got a situation where the humans have an agenda and those pups better conform fast. Spoiled it, for me.

Such an awesome video! I have an 11 year old yellow lab, he's loved the water since he was a puppy also. He needed no coaxing the first time I took him camping by the lake. He jumped right in and almost swam across the lake! I had to mute the sound, tho, he got exited with all the kissing noises.
