There are so many businesses on there already, I'm not sure if much will change.
Whilst this is good news for the honest sellers out there, it'll be interesting to see if many of the so called "private" sellers with 100s of listings of tracksuit bottoms that "no longer fit" make the jump or continue as they are. We all know there are plenty of resellers using Vinted currently without infringement, I guess just running the gauntlet, which makes your original ban all the more baffling. It'll also be interesting to see if private sellers up their prices as a result of increased reseller activity, making sourcing opportunities more difficult.
Oh i forgot to add, Charity shops will sell on there...
I think this is a Massive kick in the side for all resellers, I think you will find a big drop in Charity shop finds
They sell on ebay already so no difference really to normal
As a reseller/antique dealer on eBay for 16yrs I only ever found about 14 items on a charity shop worth picking up and selling . Had more luck grabbing a few boxes in the general sales at auction houses when buying the decent stuff at the Antique sales
@@andrewfinch7453yep. Hoping people don’t catch on to this 😅In all seriousness I haven’t ever really sourced any collectables in Charity shop. I don’t really bother looking, if I do, it’s ones in my own very small town as I happen to be walking past. Haven’t done that in months though.
The downside is that people want things cheaper on Vinted. I find it harder to sell on there than Ebay.
You can sell for less though as no fees to pay currently
Depending how they roll this out it could spell tough times for Ebay UK moving forward.
As it stands Ebay business sellers are having to hike their prices to still make profits which means Ebay no longer looks like a cheap place to buy and sell. The lack of competition is what is keeping Ebay afloat.
Vinted Pro Sellers may be able to pass these lower fee savings on to their sellers and it pretty much prices Ebay out the game - you could have the same sellers selling at a cheaper price on Vinted compared to their Ebay store.
eBay will still be king
I don’t think it will vinted still have really bad people on there who send rubbish out or who don’t send the items out at all. Personally I like eBay
@Lisa-cj8cu no it won't lol.😂😂
Say goodbye to you Vinted Snipes
Watch how it becomes eBay
If you refresh constantly I'm sure you can still snipe and find gold 😊
Not sure about this, gonna get flooded with over priced rubbish.
Go George!! Love that you are embracing the opportunities💪.
Rubbish news - it will kill the good deals on vinted - it will just become a smaller eBay now
Ebay need a competitor big time. Had far too much of the market for too long.
Maybe but for me it is very good news
As mentioned, likely will change the pricing of many things, and be flooded with full time / pro sellers. Let's check in this time next year and see what happens.
@@Fazzers will be interesting to see for sure
Totally agree, it's going to ruin the platform. Ebay will be buying them over soon enough 😂
I am a vinted seller, I sell very very cheap and knowing vinted won’t delete my stuff anymore will make me do more volume and even cheaper item. Not all sellers will increase prices and if they do it’ll only give more sales to the reasonable sellers
So vinted will just be another selling site and no good for sourcing like it has been.
Good! eBay can suck it. The company has not only messed with nick and Andrea's income for a few weeks they also blocked my account for over a week and still going so far. I'm Top rated seller and it's for a company/identification check. Have suffered with no sales and no income! Ebay deserve this sort of competition for how they treat their sellers. I aim to not be with eBay within a year absolutely terrible towards their sellers
Its a good thing i think even Vinted have had enough of beaten up ready for the bin items that people charge £15 for on there itll find its way i'm sure
I think its good they are bringing Vinted pro just hope like what you said doesn’t effect people buying off you if ur a ‘pro seller’ but we will never know until we try!
if they up the seller protection fee for pro sellers then people may not want to buy from a pro seller
As long as theres an option to not see pro sellers items. Otherwise i will have to sift through alot of stuff to find the bargins.
I can now buy and resell back on Vinted
Agree with a lot u say joe bloggs will rise prices but think be ok people still search with price high priority, still a bit confused by how will work in practice with you people I know n herear talk about selling on vinted way more than eBay or other options think easter night be optimistic maybe summer
In your opinion George do you think that vinted could become overloaded with items so that the price of them will be drove down??
I’m happy to be jumping on anything that puts eBay back in its place! What do you think to the marketplace on whatnot? I only noticed it today and looks like another way to give feebay a kick in the butt!!
this won't put eBay in it's place it may take a small amount from eBay but eBay are to cocky and know they are top of the market and don't think anyone will over take them
Can i list orher stuff apart from clothing?
When a Belgian friend tried to buy a few items from a French Business pro seller she couldn't make a bundle and had to pay postage for every single item. Wouldn't buy from a pro seller if that's the case here as well, I tend to buy more than 1 item to save on postage and get a bundle discount
Which I get however don't think is that much of an issue if that's the main drawback
Hi, I sell on Vinted Pro ( over 3 years ) to a certain point your right as it stands at the moment the bundle button is not available to pro sellers however all you need to do is ask the seller to make a new listing with all the items you wish to purchase and then it's in 1 postage lot. ( I do it all the time ) Dave
@davesrandomstuff2440 you must be killing it in France.
I heard it’s in the uk already!
Do you think you're allowed to turn your account to Pro and then make a 2nd account for personal?
Tried to find sign up page seems it’s not coming up for me 😮
Finally! I can’t wait I’ll be the first to sign up!
Did it go on to mention what other countries it was going to extend this to as we can't use Vinted in Australia?
this was just about vinted pro not about if vinted is coming to countries that don't have it
Does this mean buying and selling on vinted will be allowed?
Trade register and companies house number as a Sole Trader???
Trade Register: Your Name Companies House Number: UTR Code
That's the only way i thought of doing it unless the page is still being sorted and will change in the coming days
Hope this works I can see myself personally making a bomb as I can easily source things that sell well oj vinted but choose not to in case I get banned for selling too much
I also can’t wait for it to come does anyone know how old you have to be to have Vinted pro
Great news for resellers but I think Vinted are well off the mark here. Will completely change the platform and could well be it's ultimate downfall.
Vinted pro exists in France.
No1 selling platform over there.
So not wide off the mark.
"buyer protection pro will apply for a fee" that might mean they apply for a fee FROM the seller
No seler fees on the Pro platform in France..... covered by the buyer
I will sell more pricey stuff still on ebay and keep the cheaper lower value items for Vinted
That’s what I’m doing. 😊
Is it a requirement to be tax-registered?
if you are not selling your own stuff and you are business yes you do need to be tax registered
HMRC will be after you if you don't, vinted, ebay etc will be reporting to hmrc your earnings from now on.
@@neilo3476 something you bought that you did not intend to sell then down the line you decide to sell it
Now that's gonna suck LOL!@@Lisa-cj8cu
we can wish for change ,and it makes the platform worse ,lets hope this is not the case
Give Ebid ago
Bad idea. I won’t shop on there. It will start to become too expensive. Then watch them start to charge. It will happen.
🙂👍
First 🎉
Noooo, really? I think you guys should do better than selling on Ebay imo 😮. Ebay making money because of promoted listings fees.
