Hi George,
Just want to say thank you your channel has been an inspiration and has opened my eyes.
I have recently stepped into reselling and found some DeWalt planers being sold off at ÂĢ90 each and sold them for ÂĢ190 each on eBay wish I bought all of them but could only afford 3 of the 6.
Recently found something on Facebook marketplace for ÂĢ10 and knowing the value due to work sold it for ÂĢ149.99 the seller also threw in a load of other bits worth a few quid for free.
I didn't realise how good it felt and now I'm addicted.
Thanks once again âĪ
In over 35 years of booting...the best things Ive ever bought, were all at the end.
Including a beautiful 1990s Ensonique synthesiser at Leigh boot sale...at about 11.30am!
40 quid!!! ð
Sold it for ÂĢ500 ð
That was strange seeing you ask about all the same things I had a few hours earlier ð. He was asking for ÂĢ30 on that basketball hoodie, so believe it or not, he had slashed the price ðŪ, asked for ÂĢ10 on the all saints coat but the inside pockets were also wrecked too! This boot at 9 is so busy with buyers at the moment, and there were many stalls that look like they'd already gone by the time you arrived.
Hi George,
I wouldn't give up on the late car boots yet: it looked like the one you went to did not have a lot of house clearance peeps - down my neck of the woods (Ford Market) there is a lot of times when it gets to the last half an hour, these stalls start doing "fill a bag for ÂĢ1" & "free, take it away" offers - it's perfect for those that want to try to research a niche etc without a big upfront outlay or for those looking to start out in the reselling biz.
around my area too - always free to clear away and have found ÂĢ100's worth of profit.
How funny was going to go to this one but didnt in the end. Now I can see what I missed ðĪĢðĪĢ
rule 1; get there at setting up, rule 2; take plenty of change with you, rule 3; don't take family with you they only hold you up and cost you a fortune ðĪĢ
i could be wrong but at 7:22 isn't that a Henry Hoover.... saw these things selling for some good money in nic hills videos a while ago? nice video george!
I went to the carboot sale late yesterday and got loads of free plushes!
We haven't started selling anything yet, as we are going away for 2 weeks now but I've gone way over my stock level because I love bargains LOL
I think alot car boot people know that resellers are buying and selling on hence the inflation on stuff carboot sales , charity shops all know now.
Can I ask a question, what is the lowest number of items in stock, before you start getting concerned?
Missing out on the dyson v10/v11 12:27
nightmare things, a dozen at every carboot, worst vaccuum ever made, weigh as much as an elephant and no one wants them anymore
Have you been scammed at the carboot before? Because it seems that you check everything before you buy aha.
One word. HERMES ð
tar mate. have a great week
My wife bought a pen for ÂĢ2.00 at a car boot from the front of a stall after 12 noon thinking it would be a nice handbag pen.. It had been there all day. She was told by the stall holder that it has a 24 carat nib! On the way home, she looked it up - ÂĢ2,000! It was a ball point pen, if it had been a fountain pen then ÂĢ20,000. Never despair, it's not what you know about stuff, it's what the others don't know.
