    I just purchase mine!!! im 46 and quit skating because life, but now im too exited about getting in a skate again!! it was a little hard because now we have soo much good options and they are not cheap, so thanks to this kind of fine reviews, i finally get to this nomad N1, 2 in 1. I haven't found a review with the mad street wheels but i think it will be fantastic!!! Thanks for this great review!

    Since I have belt driven board for mainly street config, I'm going to get Nomad N1 gear drive next because I never had gear driven board in my life! I love to have multiple boards for this reason and it'd make sense to get gear drive next. I'm looking forward to getting this board next!! Another opportunities: I wish the side LED were a bit more thicker and longer. And you are right about flashing. It could be super annoying when riding and engaging brakes. We should have setting to control how the lights behaves via remote. Hope this gets improved.
    And congratulations on 10k subs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Again scott, many thanks for your work : priceless !
    I only got one question and... one "complain"
    Question : How does it carve compared a DKP board ? is it the same feeling or is it really different ? i don't reallay care about stability at spped, it is more a question about a 20/30km/h cruising speed and carving feeling.
    Complain : I use gear drive on My GTS super. At the beginning, i was in love with that system. BUT : as it is "gear ratio locked" you can't switch wheels and put for example street wheels. Yes... you can, but the acceleration, braking and control will be terrible. So, why they don't provide the best battery configuration with a belt drive system which is honnestly, much more convenient and practical for people (and only for that purpose) who wants to switch wheels easily.
    Sorry, was a long comment 😀

    • @ShrimpCracka

    I lose track of these boards, brands etc. I guess on roads and long distance they’re good if legal. Even at legal speeds, Onewheel is just so much more versatile, agile etc. Boards are more convenient to carry, ie roll them along, rather than have to carry. Good for luggage as well, ie stick a load in between your feet. Terrible with kerbs etc though. Onewheel has two hands free though. I have 2 e-boards and one Onewheel pint - OW gets all my riding, despite its terrible torque etc. Fun factor is enormous once you ride switch and do 180s etc, even though parent company is not great. Would be interesting to hear your views, maybe a comparison video.

      Man I’ve been disappointed 3 times with OW

      EsK8 in my option is so much more capable and safe

    • @seanparker571
      @seanparker571 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I would say a OW Pint is fine as a first board, depending on your balance capability. If you’re not so great at balance, have a friend to lean on while you learn. One good test/prep, is whether you can stand on a bosu ball. Advantages to ESK8 as a first board is really all about better stability while you’re learning board basics, if you’re already used to board riding of any kind then that won’t be as important, just pick the board form that appeals to you the best. I’ve had good surfers just jump on my OW Pint and just basically start moving - and I’ve had board novices give it a go, and they just need an arm to lean on while they learn for a couple of sessions and master how to bail. Newbies who jump on my ESK8s (longboard) have no problem with stability, and just have to get used to the acceleration/decelaration forces based on throttle input. No matter what you’re learning on, if you’re patient, and don’t start going faster than your skill level allows, you’ll be fine. I personally don’t trust the electronics enough to go much faster than I can sprint, ie to run out if things go wrong, even though my skills aren’t too bad - with an ESK8, at least you have options to brake with traditional skateboard techniques - depending on your shoe and wheel choices, and skill level….. With a OW, it’s VERY hard to brake if the electronics fail, really beyond just about anyone’s abilities, and it would not be considered braking, more maintaining skidded balance. Having said that, my only bad fall has been off an ESK8 (as my first learning board) - didn’t know how to fall really well, or to run out, or really how to get over a concrete lip - only banged my knee though. OW Pint was my second board, and the learning curve was real for me, solved that by just committing to ride it every day while I walked my dog - learning to balance on it SLOW was good for me. Anyway good luck with it. And yes, knowing everything I now know across boards - just pick the form that appeals to you most, and commit to learning. Oh, and out of any of my boards, it’s the OW that people really want to get on and try, not really sure why. One obscure advantage to OW is that it’s really good cross training for learning how to foil board, not sure if that appeals to you or not.

    Nice review, mate. I'm a little disappointed with this board - I was expecting a flex deck.
