    I use Kimbrough #124 HD servo savers in my 3s & 4s Arrma's, you have to mod the #124 saver simply by trimming off the corners. Nice & strong spring resistance in the Kimbrough HD savers, as they are intended for large gas RC's. There cheap as well, they work perfectly in the 3 & 4s rigs.

    • @RC4us
      @RC4us  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      happy that works for you... but that spring style servo is just weak and isnt very good it was never intended for this powerful of a application i think because you have done that upgrade and noticed a difference your assuming its working good my original fix was with super glue and that worked as good as the kimbrough saver... and until i did this i didnt realize just how bad it still was compared to now using a LMT saver or the RBX10 saver isnt even the same world as those kimbrough and stock style savers... i think if you tried it then you would see. HUGE difference as ive tried EVERY way ive ever seen
      this blows it away

    Nice mod, super creative. I will probably 3d print one of my own :)
    I notice you are using some shiny metal pivot balls on the XXL- are those the KA-RC steel ones? The xxl looks great with that brace.

      Yes it is after I done the spur lockers I got these they are so nice I honestly can't believe how tight everything is now with the servo saver mod in place all new rod ends and balls... now in this video I don't have the new rod ends and balls installed the ones you see are a cheap knock off and very worn rod ends

      @@Traveler0069 gotta be honest here either your not being 100 or you just don't know how bad the steering is because you've never experienced good steering not trying to be rude but the world will tell you that hot racing one isn't any better then stock it's just as soft and weak and that plastic insert strips constantly... I promise if you did this you would be blown away at the difference of using this

    Well, ordered the GL RC, kit for my kraton 4s v2.5.
    But before I put in the whole kit, I might just change out the servo saver.
    Is the stock servo any good? I do have a new servo in stock, but changing the saver is less work, if the servo is good?

    Come up with a way to get a ABCD block on the 4s cars. As long as they mount to the chasis it's going to be a constant weak point!

    Mike, I need se help : kraton 4s v2.5.
    It won't steer for crap! So, is the atock servo any good? Obviously the servo saver is crap.
    If I have to go through the trouble to take out the old servo, should I just replace it? With what? And what servo saver.
    Thus kraton has been sitting December when I got it, because my FT 6s is my favorite. It's all stick, except twin motor fans, m2c chassis and tower brace.
    Please give me a recommendation, also should I purchase the garage life servo kit?
    Thank you

      @@frederickgrassie3383 hello from OHIO....
      I would just buy that hole kit from garage life rc because you get the riser, the servo saver (that I use), and the receiver box... I really like the power hd 23kg servo rocks it's my go to for my budget but if money isn't a problem definitely check out HITEC the db961wp is the best servo on the market over 760oz torque
      I have everything linked in this description

    Great to see the steering fix, and great how to tutorial. I made a comment on the FB post about the max 8 wires not fitting with this mod. You will not see the issue unless you have the max 8 esc and motor installed on the 4s kraton chassis, not the Mojave chassis. I would suggest a spacer that can be used with the garage life esc mount that elevates the esc letting the wires clear the motor or esc box depending on orientation.

    • @RC4us
      @RC4us  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      i think you should turn your esc around have your sensor wire faced to the motor and it works perfectly ive had a max8 in my og v2 kraton 4s and had no issue. where the esc sits in the chassis and the receiver box is exactly the same in the kraton and mojave both the difference is in front of the receiver box i have all 3 4s cars and during design and original testing we've put these in all of them you wont have a issue
      also have you seen my video of the esc mounting tray its trick and can install any esc

    • @michaelsager3616
      @michaelsager3616 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@RC4us I’ve seen the install video, and it works great on the longer Mojave chassis. With the center diff on the Kraton, the housing pushes the motor back nearly touching the mounting plate. The sensor wire cannot face the motor, there is no clearance

    Nice collab with GLRC. Pretty much the main reason I stayed away from the ARRMA 3S/4S trucks was because of the Kimbrough style servo saver steering setup. This is why I went with the smaller TA MT10 over the Outcast 4S. This would definately be a mandatory upgrade for me if I had reason to pick up one of these ARRMAs.
