New subscriber here. I recently got myself a mojave 4s too. That's how I found your channel. I enjoy your videos. Not full of fast paced adhd style music and editing. After seeing the result of changing the center diff fluid, I'm sold. Going to 1mill myself next time I have it opened. Thank you.
Happy to hear that. Sorry to bother you with another question. Do you feel like the springs could be harder? With my 6800mA pack it sags a lot. I know it's supposed to and all that, but scraping the gravel all the time? I changed the shock fluids and it made an improvement, but I think it would benefit from a sliiiightly header springs. Thomas
I also added 1mil diff fluid on my arrma vorteks boost 4s center diff but havent had the chance to really test it yet. (I retrofitted the center diff since the Vorteks doesn't come with it as well as a 4s power kit) thanks to this video I decided to go with the 1 mil diff fluid. Great vids btw
@bigbristv thanks. I was looking for a while. Thanks to your video I just changed my center diff to 1 mil too. How does it handle now with the 1mil? Also I keep reading people using red n tacky grease on the "oitside" does that mean they are greasing thr pinion and spur gear?
@LegendsPizzaCo never grease your spur and pinion. The module is pretty sealed so dirt doesn't get in easily. The red n tacky they're using on the front and rear diff's crown and input gear teeth.
@bigbristv perfect this makes sense now. I was looking at my center diff only so far. Haven't touched the front or rear. When I opened the diff case tbe spur and pinion were dry so I assumed no grease needed there so I was confused on where they were using these greases. Now I have to look at my front and rear diffs and see where to use the grease. What weight did you use on the front and back. I was gonna do 30k in front. 1mil center. And 20k rear. And yes we have amazing pizza. If you're ever in the bay area I got you
Question: with it wheeling like that with front up in the air is it even drivable? How do you do fast driving and turning with the wheels off ground everytime you pin the throttle? Wouldn’t it be better to have to front tires against the ground under maximum throttle?

Hi mate, good vid...Is that an aftermarket Vitavon Diff? Never seen these come stock before unless Arrma have changed the design, Its certainly different.
Hello! under no circumstances should the diff seal be touched by the oil in the differential in order for it to seal properly, the best method is, in my opinion, to weigh the differential once you have found a correct setting of it with enough oil and when you want to change the oil to use the same amount of oil, and something else, I saw that you took care of the same o-ring not to put them in the cleaning solution, but I think you should also take care of the bearing in the central shaft, if the bearing remains dry and you force diff destroys everything
Thanks for the tip. But I believe there is really no way around the seals getting diff oil on them unless the shims seal them out which I doubt highly. Those seals do get diff fluid on them and it's OK. Since I'm not racing or anything under no circumstances will I weigh diff fluids 😅. Take care and thanks again!
I thought you said in the beginning, the 1 million made the front tires balloon, yet you refilled with 1 million! Did I miss understand what you said and did?

Thanks TG! This is why I make videos- in an effort to help someone. You just made my day!

Glad I didn't confuse you. This is why I did the video, couldn't find much help when I was looking to do it the first time. Hope it helps you!

Thanks! 1M works wonders for front tire ballooning. Just be prepared to service the diff often if you bash hard.
You get a subscribe from me. Great explanation. I've been searching high and low for this exact information.
THIS is precisely why I do this. Thank you 🥲

15:09 air lock type of thing hapPniN if oil in the hole before the shaft goes in
Air lock! That is it! bro, thanks 😊
Great result.!! 👍 👍 👍
Thank you!
Yo Big…Jersey here. How i miss this video??? Just did the same to my typhon tlr.
Jerz! ✌️

Theoretically, yes. Having the front wheels on the ground would facilitate turning. But who needs to turn? Right? 😂
@@bigbristv r u on 6 s in the video?
@@thepatternforms859 yup 😁
@@bigbristv lol oh ok well that explains it haha
@@bigbristvI’m about to do this center dif 1 mil job and I am scared I will use your video but is there any other videos for this?
What duel fan setup is that?
Thank you.

How often should you service the center diff?
Some people never, some after a few hard runs. I do it when my front tires start becoming pizza cutters again. Let's me know it's time.
Hi mate, good vid...Is that an aftermarket Vitavon Diff? Never seen these come stock before unless Arrma have changed the design, Its certainly different.
This diff is stock. Came on the most recent 4s models, 3 to be exact.

Did I miss understand what you said and did?
1M in the center diff helps transfer more power to the rear wheels which makes the front wheels balloon less.
@@bigbristv got it, thank you.
@frederickgrassie3383 you're welcome 😊
I think to remove the striped screw you need to take a rubber band and put the rubber band on it, it worked for me🤷♂️
I tried that, too. Those 2mm screws are just so tiny. So...I had to get to cutting 😄
Thanks RD!
Awesome
5 minutes and they still aint there???? Yo….you got me cryin😂😂😂😂😂😂

@user-fn7zd8pl7w right?!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍.Fam, I can't remember which video, but I straight up canceled my membership over some dumbness like that 😅
Use non chlorinated brake cleaner, put your "grease" in a syringe with a model car fine glue to go make this a little cleaner and easier, imho
Thanks for the tip!
put drywall tape and shoe glue to the body , i did mine on arrma senton and its 10 times stronger👍
Did it also make it 10 times heavier? I 😁
@@bigbristv i dont have isues with my senton. It heavier ,but not so much i expected.
@@bigbristv i donk know ,how much it weight , but its not so heavy as it was stock.
@RD_LV_RC got it. Glad that's working for you. I'm on my like 4th body. Maybe I should have done the tape and shoe goo thing 🤔
@@bigbristv and ofcorse ,it affects how much you put the glue , I put most of the glue on the places where it can be easily damaged
