    Well, I was 21 when I met my husband, we jumped in quick, he was supposed to be my 1st one night stand and in January we will celebrate 33 years together legally recognized marriage for 8. When you know, you know.

    I met my partner it was at a gay bath bar. We both stopped in for a coffee/tea before heading out to our own places, mine being out of town. We were in our 40's, previously married with children. At Pride in the summer of that year(2021), he was working as security and I felt these hands around my chest from behind and that was the start to our dating etc. Go forward and we just celebrated 22 years together. Do these things when the time is right. ❤😊❤😊😊

    I cannot express to you how much fun it is to watch the two of you. Listening to your banter had me smiling so much throughout the show. Love the way you joke with each other and the "devils avocado" comments. Love how you look at each other too. I know, that's a lot of "love" I'm sending your way, I'm one of those people.

  • @Brooksie603

    Pet peeve of mine is ending a call with “ I love you”. Unless it’s someone you don’t see all the time, then it’s ok but otherwise it becomes repetitive and less meaningful as much as saying hello or goodbye. I do say it anytime I end a call with my mother, but she lives far away and I rarely see her. When I say it to her I think about it more as if it could be the last time I talk to her. I would rather it be said to me less often and at a moment that is special. For many fathers I feel like it’s implied and doesn’t require to be said for whatever reason. I don’t remember my father ever saying it to me but I know he did.

    I really enjoyed this podcast. Your banter, cadence and stories were very engaging, funny and insightful. However, as for me, the milestone issues you discussed are merely wishful and wistful thinking as I'm just trying to nab the first date! There's a big learning curve as an 60-year-old guy just stumbling out of the closet. Your vlogs/podcasts make me hopeful that someday I'll connect with a happy, healthy homo bloke and be able to create and live my own milestones. My future self eagerly awaits the day when I can write to you about having to go to the police station to lodge a formal grievance because the most wonderful, incredible, loving man I've ever met in my life has stolen my heart and irrevocably changed the trajectory of my life forever.

    Well for starters the reason a lot of gay men not all though rush into relationships is because a lot of women and men are very insecure, or its lust till the honeymoon period is finished then it is like actually what do we have in common. There is more to relationships then sex! But sex is very important too. There is never a right time or wrong time to start or end a relationship just enjoy the moment whatever happens will happen. I totally agree with Joel when he mentioned people clapping on a plane it is like get a grip! Another amazing episode keep up the good work guys.

    I disagree with Joel though about people clapping when a plane lands safely - I love it! 💙 It's people being thankful for the wonder that is a safe flight, and showing appreciation to the pilot & crew. ✈😃

  • @Dragonmoon1598

    Just a guess about why gays rush into love, but I assume gay peole who come out later in life, somewhere in their 20's plus, and then begin to persue dating and other activities, are trying to make up for lost time.
    While simultaneously feeling they're behind everyone else, primarily straight family and friends, and feel a societal pressure to meet relationship milestones: Kissing, intimacy, moving in togeather, marriage and possibly kids.

    • @doughmestic-bliss
      @doughmestic-bliss ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's exactly how I was, thought I had to make up for lost time and just succeeded in making myself miserable rushing things before I was really ready. In the end I pulled back from dating completely because I was making silly choices that weren't in my best interests and if I had my time to do over again I would slow it right down and let things develop naturally instead of trying to push it.

  • @candidolopez1131

    This is BY FAR my favorite episode!!!!! Met my partner in a bar, kissed like crazy there - (drinks) went to my place - had sex... moved in 2 weeks later, said I love you at the same time -became exclusive immediately - then finally had our first date. Took our first trip together about a year later - hated him on the trip. First and last. Never again. His mom refused to believe we were together but was fine with us sleeping together and always asked for us to take good care of each other. Ok mom. We've been together for 25 years now. I ask him if he wants to get married - he says, "Whatever you like" then conversation ends. Not a deal breaker - obviously. As for the plane - mom made us clap from NY to PR all of my childhood existence just bc the wheels touched the ground safely. Now I look around and see if anyone is clapping, if so, I clap under my seat - very low of course. Just bc I'm afraid my mom is watching from above. Give me a break mom. So in other words - my life with all of this - was all over the place - and I love it...and you guy! Tx for the freaking laughs! ps...I think saying i love you to family and friends is overrated...If they don't know it by now then move on and we'll meet again some other time.....

    Traveling brings out a whole different side of people depending on how they handle different environments and cultures etc. My partner and I probably get into at least 1 argument per trip. I love to see different countries and solo travel while he has insecurities about certain things and would explode before I'd even registered what had happened. I value my peace and almost walked after our first trip but I've learned how to help him through it and it has made me a much more patient and understanding person with others in my life vs my normal GTFO mentality.
    A partnership might be 50:50 in an ideal world but it will also be 75:25 or 40:60 at times. That's when you really learn what you're made of as well as if your partner will catch you when you stumble.

  • @joemalick

    OMG, that was a funny podcast, the banter was on point! 😂 But good advice as well, and I think communication is the key to basically all those questions. Assumptions cause issues, and issues cause breakups. And I had to mention my favorite quote by Keegan: “Marriage is like a dick measuring” … 😂😂😂 Love u guys. ❤

    Not going to lie I am one that claps when a plane lands, but only when it was a very turbulent flight. Like you think you might fall from the sky. That has happened only once to me. But even the flight attendants clapped.

  • @cloudofreverie786
    @cloudofreverie786 ปีที่แล้ว

    The only reasonable clap in an airplane is if the pilot was able to save you from crashing the plane. Some people clap for landing from a very turbulent plane ride and I don’t mind it. But clapping merely just for the heck of it after the plane landed, side eye lol.

    Sex: I never wanted sex unless I loved the person. I did, of course, have sex with someone I did not love, but not often. It was totally unsatisfying, I assume, for both of us. My husband and I have traveled with friends many times, and after each journey, we say, never again,

    • @okorochukwunonso2563
      @okorochukwunonso2563 ปีที่แล้ว

      why never again?

    • @mikiewifnoe360
      @mikiewifnoe360 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@okorochukwunonso2563 We find that our travel style is much more intense than those who have gone with us. We want to do what we want when we want, and trying to make others happy is a lot of work. I enjoy my husband, and he is the only one I want to ensure is enjoying life. We get along quite well and never have conflicts in travel. What it boils down to, I am selfish. But as is our history, when someone asks if they can join us, we say okay. So saying never again is kind of a fantasy.

    I have a friend who moved in with her boyfriend after a month, they've been together for YEARS and have three kids now. But they're also in a poly relationship because he has to do alot of work trips, so she's allowed to have a boyfriend or girlfriend, mainly girlfriend because he's the only guy she's ever really been into. (It was sad because her last girlfriend dumped her to be with another man and she was heartbroken and her man was like, well atleast you still have me! And she was like, you're right! lol)
    On the contrary, there was a gay influencer couple who moved in and got engaged after three months, and no surprise they broke up. They're friends with Fish and Sparrow, who is another gay couple and I think they're really cute together.
    It really just depends on the people involved, just don't rush things and do what feels right.
