I really like that you gave time for the shot to be setup, and then showed commentary afterward. I prefer this tremendously more than other videos with super fast shots or video clips.
Glad you liked it

Absolutely beautiful hunts. Subscribed! These are just so fresh-out-of-the-oven, man.
Much appreciated!
Great property, footage, and rack buck! Congrats! I'm not a huge fan of hunting over bait but this compilation was interesting to watch for sure.
Thanks 👍 hope you’ll subscribe
Hey bro, I’m just gonna ask, what is like the best set up for deer hunting in your opinion? Like the dream gun, stand, and bait (if you use it).
Amazing footage, much appreciated.
Glad you enjoyed it
Muito bom parabéns pela conquista,eu Brasil,

Gotta love the truck loads of apples, hay and corn.
👍
Yaaaaah….no kidding. And “driving”.
Quit watching once I saw the bait piles.

Absolutely love these best of compilations! Thank you as always!
Been having so much fun hunting moose with my mom. The other day we saw a Moose cow with what we thought was a small bull (turned out to be her spiker calf) mom and I were just watching them. I started to show her some basic moose calls, the cow we were watching was convinced we were a bull, she came within 120 yards of us and then proceeded to PEE for us! Mom was loving seeing real animal responses to my calls! :D
That's very cool!
I really like that you gave time for the shot to be set up, and then showed commentary afterward. I prefer this tremendously more than other videos with super fast shots or video clips. It's much more engaging.

Is there any advantage to using a bow Vs a rifle? I always figured the rifle would be easier to hit the vitals and also put it down quicker.
Yes a rifle offers many advantages. However, not all areas and seasons allow the use of rifles

I loved watching the video I’m a disabled veteran and my healing is going into the outdoors and hunting I’d love to be able to come up and hunt Canada it’s beautiful up there!🦌🎣
Deer are a big nuisance where I live, and I go back and forth on whether to seriously consider hunting as a new hobby. Any tips on how to start, or even help make up my mind?
I understand that this sort of thing requires a lot of time and money. Heck, I don’t even know if I’d enjoy it enough to dedicate a great deal of my life to it, but dang would it be a dream to come home with a beautiful rack and meat for days. Kudos to you guys for being crazy enough to actually do this, you madlads! 🍻
@nicks2581 hey, I appreciate your input. And yes, if I were to hunt I would 100% intend on eating the deer and preserving/making use of the animal as much as possible. I have eaten venison on a few occasions and I find it quite tasty. 😋
Unfortunately I don’t have much experience with firearms or weapons in general, but I am definitely thinking of owning one for protection purposes. I will look into my state laws (I live in NY so I’m dreading how strict it’s gonna be). And my bother and I have a few friends that hunt and I’ve been asking random questions here and there.
My gripe with it all is that it takes a lot of time and effort to have good, ethical success in deer hunting. I just don’t know if it would be worthwhile to me. It is a very expensive sport, and every mistake you make can be very costly (accidentally inflict unnecessary suffering on an animal, spoiling meat, harm yourself with your weapon, etc.) But, you know, I’ll keep chewing on it! Thank you.
@malokeytheallaround that is why learning the key points of firearm use is so important.
I am actually a mostly self taught hunter, so starting out for me was a bit slow. I do have buddies who are very experienced hunters, but are work schedules are so different that we never got out together beyond once or twice.
Wounding an animal is a possibility, but that is where practicing a lot with your hunting equipment comes into play. Truthfully, once you know your hunting tool, how to use it properly, how to track, and most importantly when you have a clear ethical shot, the odds of wounding a deer that you can not recover is very very low. Odds are higher that you will wound and/or kill more deer driving then you will as a well trained hunter.
Since you are new to shooting, I suggest starting out with a rifle in.22LR, the Ruger American or 10/22 (if legal) with an 18in barrel is good for the money. Practice with it, take it small game hunting to hone your shooting skills while collecting some quality meat, then look into a center fire rifle.
I don't know anything about NY firearm laws, but I would suggest a rifle that uses detachable magazines vs a rifle that does not have detachable mags for a duel purpose rifle.
@nicks2581 alright, will do. Thanks man 👍
What’s the rifle and optic ? Looks like a tikka
Sweet video! Amazing filming🤘
Thanks a lot!
Has anyone ever gone hunting for animals in the forest? With your parents, or any other relative? Or have you never gone hunting but feel like it?
I'm from Brazil and here the laws don't allow this kind of thing, here near my city, there is a species of deer, unfortunately it's very difficult to see them around, there are few in my region, here in Brazil people usually go hunting Capivaras, the meat is very good.
I love how the aims are so perfect I always thought it would be hard to get the aim cuz the deer would be running around or just moving around
Wow those white tails have some thick fur up there
Crazy eh!
interesting to see the short tine length on some of these whitetails , possibly because of the gene pool and also age / availability of food sources etc all play into antler development but anyways
👍

Opening Day in Michigan is Wednesday Nov 15th. Insomnia is setting in, getting restless hard to sleep. Leaving work at Noon tomorrow to head to my cabin for Wednesday morning. Ready to touch off the .25-06 rifle.
Nice!! Good luck
@@canadaintheroughtv Thank You! I am wide eyed and Bushy Tailed. Not getting much sleep tonight or tomorrow. Odd to be a Grown Up adult man at 44 years old and still get anxious like a child for opening day of gun season. 700,000 other gun hunters will be in the woods with me. Good Luck, shoot straight & Enjoy Gods country wherever you are in the woods of the world.

Opening day tomorrow, can't sleep hah

Completely shocked by those amazing bucks! I'd love to come up to Candana and try my luck. Dark chocolate rack WOW! Congratulations on all the harvest.

What do you guys do with the courpses eat them sell leather or make jewelry
Deer are abundant here. They are an important part of our food supply. The license to harvest that deer was issued by the government who pays biologists to monitor and study populations to ensure sustainability
It would be interesting to know the velocity of some of these rounds on MPH as opposed to FPS! I suppose that I could just get a pen and notepad and do a little math! Not too complicated!
Simple multiplication!
Holy Moses!! That big ol fat buck was HUGE!!! Ain't never seen one that big down here in Texas, he had to be at least 250 pounds!

😮
hard to tell because of the blind in the way but looks like if the buck at 4:15 hadnt tried to duck he wouldve missed low

Yes we believe he damaged the base of his antlers the year before when he shed and that is why he grew the abnormal spike
Why not just get a scope camera?

Wild game meat is a smart choice. Wild game is the most renewable, the most sustainable, the most organic, the most lean, and the most environmentally friendly meat source on the planet

Canned? Sure looks like it?
No, all fully wild and free-range
I was 10 when ELF came out... Hmm.
tame deer?
Not at all. Those are all wild, fair chase whitetails
Deer farms is not deer hunting but just an assasination. Come on up to northern Minnesota without your trail cams etc etc etc. But then...you'd go hungry wouldn't you
These are all wild, free, ranging deer. Never hunted a deer farm.
