    All the haters- take a college level wildlife biology class!! People like hunters are the reason these animals are so beautiful and healthy !! Sadly - uneducated people like the haters do not know anything about conservation !!! And they likely have ever given money for the health and conservation of said animals!! Unfortunately for u and fortunately for us- a bullet or a broadhead is a fitting end to a healthy life !! The alternative is not as good!! Remember , people play a part in the game of hunter and hunted - just like bears and wolves- the deer don’t dry on a morphine drip!! They are not to be equated to people! Educate yourself

      I think a lot people confuse conservation with trophy hunting. I am not some vegan activist but I am some what against trophy hunting. I feel like waiting in a tree and shooting an animal for sport or for a trophy is not a big accomplishment. You want a moose head trophy go get a bunch of guys and hunt a moose like a pack of wolves. Make a weapon or trap using nature. Show your ability to use the land and then I can justify hunting as a sport or justify your bear head trophy. Sitting in a tree all day with a rifle and then waiting for an animal to pass by and then shooting it, just doesn't work for me. Now if your hunting because of a dire need to feed your family or yourself and you want to use a gun fine but hunters who hunt for sport or don't NEED to hunt should face that animal like our ancestors did, face to face.

    During youth season this year (I'm 15), I was sitting in my grandpa's stand. It was getting close to dark. I was watching a few does below me (I was in an elevated blind). I looked over towards the pond that was behind me (my back was turned to it while I was watching the does) when I heard a noise of something drinking out of it. I saw a decent 9, I took my dad's 450 I was hunting with, I waited for a better shot. He then turned, I put the scope on him, I took the about 90 yard shot, and I dropped him where he stood. I took out both of the lungs and the heart with 1 shot. It was the best shot I've taken so far in my 4 years of hunting

      Youth day is a joke. It teaches young hunters they are entitled, and gives a bunch of dad's a reason to let a kid shoot anything they see. When I was 9 years old I passed hunter safety with a 98/100 my 1st season in Vermont I walked my behind up from the botom to to top of Mt Moosalamoo in -10 weather and hunted. I did theis for 3 days in a row. We never had a Doe permit, we never we guaranteed to see Deer. You hunted because yu had to or loved it. Now it is all wattered down, feminied, and in many cases pre determined. I know kids who have had 7 damn youth days! It is total crap and nothing to be proud of because it might as well be like anoyone else shooting a Deer out of season. No true sport.

      You should! It will change your life. Start by doing a hunter safety/education course. You'll meet local people who are of the same skill level as you. It's a great way to get started. Ask your instructor lots of questions and don't be shy. Then I recommend finding a local rod and gun club/hunting club and checking their calendars for open houses. Do you currently know anyone who hunts? There are many good organizations out there that specifically aim to make hunting more accessible to anyone and everyone. Listen to podcasts, watch some hunting tutorial videos, get involved, ask questions, and eventually, you'll find someone in your local area that could potentially be a mentor. A shot to the brain or to the spinal cord are the only shots that “kill” an animal instantly. A shot to the lungs, which is the recommended shot, takes a few seconds for the animal to die. Why does it smoke from the bulletwounds when the bullets hit the deers?

    • @canadaintheroughtv
      @canadaintheroughtv  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's typically the warm air releasing from the lungs mixing with cooler air temps

    Indeed, this video was Extraordinary in the size of the box, the photography, and a mix of different weapons use. In addition to being exciting, this was an educational video. I could put my finger on the spot. I would aim for and then have it confirmed, usually, by the hunter. One of the little clips showed not only the initial impact, but the camera followed. The block for a few seconds, crucial seconds that any hunter would be familiar with, where the animal runs out of gas. The dash out like a bat out of hell for the first five seconds or so then they run out of steam, of blood in this case, I find this very interesting and helpful. So many times in my long life of hunting white tails watched intently as the animal Korean through the brush, hoping to see some sign confirming what I thought was a good hit. most of the videos show that initial impact and I understand the challenges of following With the camera,. If any of you readers know of any videos that pay attention to these crucial few after-the-shot seconds, please post them here.

    I enjoy hunting and providing venison for my family to enjoy. It has got to be nice to be able to put out piles of corn, apples or fresh hay for the deer to eat then sit by the piles to pick off the deer. Not allowed where we hunt, just got to sit and wait for an opportunity.

      Where the terrain and population of deer allows it we would rather not use a feeding area but in many parts of the country it is a great method of boosting success and also of being able to get the animal into position for a good clean shot

    I just mute my sound... I don't have to listen to the music. Another note; there are some comments below, ones that show absolutely no compassion ... like watching them go to hell. I suspect these are comments made by anti-gun or anti-hunting people who are just trying to make hunters look bad. They infiltrate and make ridiculous statements. Ignore them.

      Deer are abundant here. They are an important part of our food supply. The license to harvest that deer was issued by the government who pays biologists to monitor and study populations to ensure sustainability.
      Wild game meat is a smart choice. Wild game is the most renewable, the most sustainable, the most organic, the most lean, and the most environmentally friendly meat source on the planet
