Many thanks for this. Just acquired a Karoq and could make no sense of the instructions in the manual Your explanation of the Virtual Cockpit is really helpful.
Thank you. That was great. I just picked up my new car today, I tried to look at the manual but had no idea. Your explanation was such a great help, really easy to understand. Thanks again
Hi, I tried the volume button but when I press it only the sound on the radio turns off. Even longer pressing didn't help. Could it be something else? Thank you for your help.
Nice. but have you found a way for the car to keep your preferred cluster settings? for e.g sports cluster? Every time i start the car, it seems to default to regular one.
The speed limit icon comes from the traffic sign recognition system, which is an optional extra at the point of manufacture. If you haven't got that, the speed limit won't show.
My Octavia RS virtual cockpit always goes back to Classic Display (2 dials left and right) when the car starts up. It does not remain in the other displays (Advanced, Modern, Basic and Sporty) when they are chosen. Anyone knows how to fix this?
Hello, I have a question about the cockpit setup. In your video you have to see the alarm where the average consumption since refueling is displayed. In my car it shows the average long term consumption. How can I reconfigure it to also show from fill up or from start? Thank you for your advice. Tom.
Hi Tom, you can cycle through the long term/since start/since refuel displays by pressing the left thumb wheel on the steering wheel. It'll then stay on that setting until you change it again.
@@generationxtec5576 Could you please explain this further? Which button? I've pressed everything and it never switched. Thank you very much for the explanation. Tom.
@@tomklema1160 On the steering wheel, the scroll wheel which turns the volume up and down. Press it, as opposed to rolling it up or down, and that changes the display. You may need to have the ignition on. Hope that helps 🙂

@genration XTEC Hi, the button you mentioned when pressed only turns off the sound on my radio. But it doesn't do anything else. Is there any other way to solve the problem? Thank you
Are these settings individual to each driver and saved as their profile? As it's been 8 months since you posted this video perhaps you could do an update to share your experiences and thoughts about your car?
Apparently they are, yes, you have different profiles for each key. I will do an update at some point; since lockdown I've been doing a lot of extra radio work and I haven't had time to do new videos. But I will get the camera out again soon :-)
Hi I got a Karoq Sportline this morning with virtual cockpit, I have got compass in the middle of display, I can’t workout how to bring back the maps, thanks
Hi, One question. How do you accept/reject incoming phone calls? I have the same car. The steering wheel doesn't seem to have a phone icon on it. Thanks
Hi there, when you receive an incoming call, it appears on the screen in the virtual cockpit. You can press the thumb wheel on the right side of the steering wheel to answer, or scroll down and press to reject it. Hope that helps 👍
Is there any way to set or make google maps to be projected into the virtual cockpit? And not just the ones that are loaded in the car on the SD card. Thank you
The video is great. However, I dislike that virtual cockpit. It might be okay while parking. But setting up the most simple thing during driving is dangerious. One more reason to keep staying with my 8 years old car.
Thanks, I pick my car up on Wednesday and going to have some fun with this
Many thanks for this. Just acquired a Karoq and could make no sense of the instructions in the manual Your explanation of the Virtual Cockpit is really helpful.
Cheers mate, taking delivery of my 200kW L&K on Thursday and this one is really useful as i have never owned a car with a virtual cockpit before.
You're welcome. Enjoy the car when you get it :-)
First class, pickup my 2.0TDI L&K estate this Saturday. I’ll have the virtual cockpit tweaked how I want it now before I leave the forecourt. Cheers
Just picked up my new Superb and this video is excellent. Many thanks and great explanation
Thanks - enjoy the car 😀

You're welcome, enjoy the car!
nice vid as i am getting vc on my superb, but the background music was rather annoying
Good that mate, just got my superb last week but I can't get the speed limit to show on my sat nav display. Can you advise? Cheers mick
Do you know how to make the sat nav in these skodas go live by any chance.
Thanks man, that was very helpful!!
Nice. but have you found a way for the car to keep your preferred cluster settings? for e.g sports cluster?
Every time i start the car, it seems to default to regular one.
I can't say I have that problem. It always goes back to where I left off - so if I leave it on sports, it'll be on that the next time.
How is the driving quality indicator supposed to be used?
I Love The Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited 😍
Great presentation but it's a pity the RH side of the screen was impossible to read because of reflected light.
Hi, I’ve got the same car but how do you get the speed limit icon to show in the cluster like you have? I’m missing that.
The speed limit icon comes from the traffic sign recognition system, which is an optional extra at the point of manufacture. If you haven't got that, the speed limit won't show.
On my karoq I’ve tried to change cluster colour in line with ambient light settings but doesn’t work

The oil temp gauge, what is the red bar for on the LHS, it never moves
The red bar is the 'danger zone,' like the red on the water temperature gauge. For some reason the oil temp gauge goes up from right to left.
How do I change the average consumption from “Since Refuelling” to “Since Start”?
You press the right hand thumb wheel on the steering wheel to cycle between since start, since refuelling and long term.

Hi, is the virtual cockpit standard on a 2022 Karoq 1.5 sel or is it an added extra?
I don't know I'm afraid.
@@generationxtec5576 thank you for your reply👍👍
Hi, how i can cancel oil inspection on virtuql cockpit?
That can only be done by a dealer or by someone with software like VSDC.
Is there any way to set or make google maps to be projected into the virtual cockpit? And not just the ones that are loaded in the car on the SD card. Thank you
No, unfortunately not. You can only get Google Maps on the infotainment system through Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, not on the virtual cockpit.
Does it work on MY 2017Superb?
No, the virtual cockpit is only available for the facelift Superb from
MY 2019, as far as I know.
Does it display speeds limits in the area you’re in
Yes it does, it uses a combination of the the GPS data and the front facing camera. So it picks up temporary speed limits in roadworks too.
What is acceleration on the virtual cockpit
It shows how hard you are accelerating or braking, to encourage you to drive smoothly. It's not particularly useful to be honest.
