The Kruger Tablets Video History, Get Out Point & View Site Between Skukuza & Tshokwane
The Kruger Tablets situated along the road to Tshokwane serve as a commemoration of Paul Kruger, the then President of the South Africa. It was Paul Kruger who played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Sabie Game Reserve in 1898, by officially declaring the land between the Sabie and Crocodile rivers as a protected area. This view point is a part of Kruger National Park history and pays homage to the amazing conservation work Paul Kruger did, despite being in a an area of big game hunters and overseas travellers who came to hunt the big game and wildlife in this area.
The Kruger Tablets are a nice place to stop and reminisce about the establishment of the Kruger National Park. You are allowed to get out of your vehicle here (And yes, these are natural boulders, and were not placed there).
You can fins the Kruger Tablets in the best area in the Kruger National Park to see Sable Antelope. There are also Cheetah, Wild Dogs, Leopard and Lion in the area - the latter of the which sometimes stop people from alighting from their vehicle. If you Google some photos of "Lions at the Kruger Tablets", you will see why.
The Kruger Tablets are situated on the H1-2 tar road when driving north from Skukuza to Tshokwane Picnic Spot. I would say it is about 2 thirds of the way to Tshokwane.
