At that point he didn't need any more armor, so the only way to lose was somehow get outvalued. Couldn't lose to tempo or burst damage with 2 rattlegores and 47 health
Fun fact: I was actually 100% sure it was in the game. Unfortunately i play only budget aggro on ladder (guess why) and only recently i have heard rattlegore. My disappointment was immesurable. And my day was ruined.

You can do the math yourself or you can use a hypergeometric calculator, which is what I do, and let it do most of the work for you. Edit: (just in case anyone's curious it does work the other way around with the 'successes' being the 8 cards you don't care get milled and setting the target to 5 successes but that's not the case for every instance)

(and luckily I haven't had to edit like this one or my previous) If I were to use 9 cards left I do get about 27.8% which is the same as what you got with your math at least. (if it was 9 cards not 10)
I feel the secret mage threw the moment they started throwing everything at Rattlegore. Trump was low on health, just go face dude and finish him, there was no path to victory from killing Rattlegore.

Also, Rattlegore always deals 6 damage, there's no reason he can't attack as soon as he's given rush.

@La Nausée what Cenaf meant by “OTKs out of anything” is that Trump didn’t see the line where ETC would be a part of an OTK combo in the skipper warrior shell. He looked at it like it was a card that would do some chip damage in a rush centric deck with more aggressive cards. Not that it’s some meme.
@La Nausée ETC by itself is not meta-defining. The card would see literally 0 play if it weren't for the fact that broom exists allowing for an otk to exist to begin with. Broom is a meta-defining card that exists in most decks and it would be nice if they could either change or nerf that menace of a card.
@@Alter292 I think it's a lot more than broom. ETC would only do 14 damage (a lot but not back breaking) if it weren't for the easy copy effect which makes it go over the top pretty easily. The copy-minion has enabled several very powerful combos in its time in Standard. I won't be sorry to see it go. I do agree Broom enables some powerful turns, but outside decks like this, it is more of a strong responsive card, which isn't the worst thing to me. My annoyance, personally, are things you can't reasonably respond to like the amount of direct damage strong weapon classes have. Especially since DH can also use that damage to heal with the warblades.
Important note for this deck ETC effect triggers whenever a minion with rush attacks, not necessarily a minion or the turn it was summoned. So if you got a Rattlegore on the board and you give it rush and attack the enemy hero it can do up to 15 damage to your opponent.

If you block on 3, then you're only gaining 5 armour now and 2 armour later (floating that 3 extra mana) A more obvious example is block/hero power on turn 4 and 5... block on 4 = 7 armour from both turns. hero power on 4 = 9 armour instead. Now what Trump fails to see (and has probably cost him a few games) is that the early armour is sometimes needed. If you don't have time to GET the value later, then there's no point to storing that value in hand. It's not obvious, but that 3 armour difference can mean that 3 turns later (after spending your mana every turn) you survive rather than die. Furthermore, getting the draw done early gives you more options to deal with the board - maybe you draw that skipper at the perfect time instead of him being a turn late. As a general rule (that Trump doesn't realize), you should play the block early against aggro. Maximum button value is worth it in a value matchup, but aggro doesn't care about value.

I believe the maximum combo damage is actually 42, but only if at least two of your ETCs can attack without dying. Also you can do +1 damage if you have the coin.

So, playing Shield Block on 3 is the question of do I want a potential 11 or 13 armor by turn 5 since turn 5 is the first turn you could use both.
Yes but sometimes you dont want to shield block on 5, and shield block can draw into another card which you might want to use on turn 4
