Thank you for reacting to Taylor Swift I think you should give her a chance one day. You would probably enjoy her Reputation album the most if you like more darker sound or Red if you like storytelling based songs. But no matter what sound Taylor has her lyrics never disappoint. This is one of those songs where if you heard it on the radio you'd be like aw that's a good song, but it's not the type of song that you'd go out and look for.
I wish more alternative music enthusiasts would breach the surface level of Taylor's music (e.g. the commercial singles) and actually bothered to listen to the other tracks on her albums considering the fact that half of her chord progressions and hooks are inspired by alternative rock, punk and metal influences. There is literally so much more to her than the cookie cutter bubblegum pop sound she strategically pins to her singles simply because she has to cater to the mainstream majority in order to stay relevant.
