The reason why men "can't" cry, is the same reason as the double standards in the video. Men "can't cry" because other men have deemed it weak. It is part of the patriarchy. Women are not immune from the patriarchy as this is the culture we are raised in. That is why it is not just on women to dismantle the patriarchy--the patriarchy also hurts men--this is a team effort!

Taylor’s storytelling and writing skills are unreal. She’s so talented

In a similar vein, he wrote blank space as a satire of how the media presented her and her dating life. Most of her songs are considered and focus on a message or storytelling, and sometimes it can be helpful to have that knowledge up front. She has taken on the way studios control artists and wrote about her feelings of betrayal when her music masters were sold in "My Tears Ricochet" and she wrote "this is me trying" about people's battles with mental health, addiction and suicide.
When people said she wasn't a writer, she made sure she was the sole writer on her next album, when people said she wasn't a dancer or performer, she changed up her style for her Reputation tour (the live intro and ready for it are an excellent illustration), and it was really interesting to see her stripped back work that came out of the pandemic lockdowns in Folklore.
Ultimately she has a very broad range of work and lots to pick from. Your reactions to things will easily give people an idea of what to point you to next.

Just in relation to your final thoughts. Those are all examples of exactly what us raging feminists are referring to when we say that the patriarchy hurts us all regardless of gender. We want to dismantle all that crap.

You nailed it! And her writing is so pure and true of what so many think. She's a genius. Why she has so many fans ..... she shares truth and is NOT afraid on any song. She's a strong human.

She’s known for her story telling. I always recommend lyric videos or having the lyrics up so you can read along. I hope you continue down the swift rabbit hole. It’s a lot of fun. She calls back to other songs too so you can find connections. Her album Folklore has 3 songs that are all different POVs of the same story line and it’s super fun to listen to.

    Nice reaction!!
One scene you didn't comment on was when the man was walking out of the bedroom. After a one night stand, he gets the high five hallway, while she would get the "walk of shame" 😮‍💨😮‍💨
Also, regarding what you said at the beginning about why a woman having many partners is generally judged in our society while for a man it's respected - what you said is interesting. It's a pretty narrow and stereotypical view of sex to have, to think that the man is always more active or dominant and the woman is more passive or submissive. It can definitely be like that for people, but I think that the idea that this is "how it is" is a product of patriarchy and gender roles. I hear you on lots of men having this mindset so your comment makes sense but wanted to challenge it a little. Regardless of the roles people play in bed, I wish we coud view sex as a collaborative act where there are no winners or losers, if that makes sense.

Here is a fun fact She said it could the make up team about five hours to make her look like that in the video also in the tennis scene the guy sitting in the chair getting hit by the tennis balls 🎾 is actually her father
Here something else you might find interesting she also owns her own production company called Taylor Swift productions also something that’s not mentioned that often is her management company call 13 management

Great reaction! Definitely have the lyrics up with Taylor. That’s what she is most famous for. She has a way of using words that opens up a new realm in a song and also has this uncanny ability to link songs and albums to each other with colors and other hints. Even this music video, come back and watch it after you learn more about her and you’ll see all kinds of Easter eggs! That’s probably the best part of being a swiftie. She leaves us clues and hints and if you connect them, it’s more impactful. But also, her songs are great without even knowing the clues and hints. She’s a mastermind (another of her songs lol )

Excellent reaction. In the past 2 years, Taylor has received Artist of the Decade and Songwriter of the Decade awards. Some colleges are going to teach literary classes in the writings of Dr. Taylor Alison Swift. In 2022 Taylor received an Honorary Degree in the Fine Arts from NYU. I recommend reacting to the Bad Blood MV featuring Kendrick Lamar, you have to keep your eyes on the screen at the very beginning, and you'll see why. There are also a lot of cameos of famous women in it.

Get the stats. Women always paid less, Men make rules about Women’s body’s. I am 71 and could go on and on about the discrimination of women’s, Like Black People. The same think. Most women appreciate when a Man cry’s, it shows they have a good heart!!!

If you react to You’re Loosing Me (one of her newest releases) a fun fact to know is that the beat, the heart beat, is actually her real recorded heart beat ❤

Great reaction I would say that if more people felt that they could reveal their emotions the world would be healthier. When you feel like you can’t cry you also end up not revealing your love, happiness, or other positive emotions. What does that leave you? Someone who only feels comfortable revealing their negative emotions.

The Man is my favorite song from Taylor. ❤
I recommend End Game feat. Future and Ed Sheeran and intro + Ready for it from the Reputation Live Stadium Tour.
The more Taylor you do the Swifties will find you 😉🫶🏼

Part of how she managed to fool a bunch of people with the makeup (including me lol) was she worked with a movement coach about how guys - especially the kind of alpha guy she was trying to portray - move. Like, I think one of the little things that sold it for me tho I didn't pick up on it at first was the peeing on the wall scene, that little heel bounce before zipping up, which I would not have thought to do. It's just really great. Also if you haven't watched the BTS videos for this MV, I highly recommend them if only for the hilarity of hearing Taylor's voice come out of that dude's face. XD

We're watching this play out right now. She was named Time's Person of the Year for 2023 you should check out all of the people claiming she got it only because of her "generic" pop music, and cult following or it's a psyop by the left to get Biden elected (I don't understand how that works but ok lol) They completely disregard what a bad ass business woman she is. She's taking on the whole music industry helping new artists get better contracts and fair pay for streams. She goes above and beyond taking care of her fans and everyone who works for her. I mean she helped a homeless pregnant fan buy a home, she sent her own version of stimulus payments to fans that were suffering during the lockdown, she paid her crew the wages they would have made when her lover tour got canceled, she paid for fans cancer treatments, and a lot more. She never made those public they only came to light when certain people tried to question her character calling her fake and saying she only donates to make herself look good. Sure she does public charities like donating to foodbanks and libraries and disaster relief, but she's gone far beyond and media never knew. One last thing I'll touch on is the fact that there are 10 Universities teaching courses on her. Some are cultural, some business, but to me the best one is Harvard teaching the poetry of Taylor Swift. She gets so much hate for her radio friendly poppy hits and people don't realize those are to draw you in the best songs, the poetry, is usually not released as singles.
I think the real issue is the people complaining and dragging her are just scared of her because she is a powerful and intelligent woman.

5:04 - She was having, huge issues with Scooter Braun at the time she released this song. Her former record contract was up, and that company was being bought out- so she chose to leave. She has been with this company since the beginning, and while she owns the performance rights to her music, the company owned THE MASTER RIGHTS. They sold them, without telling her or allowing her to make an offer on her OWN MUSIC. The person they sold them to was Scooter Braun. Now, he could’ve stepped up and been a REAL MAN and allowed her to buy the rights for the same price, he didn’t. He dragged her. He paid 330 million dollars of his own money for these rights.
In the music industry, this happens ALL of the time. It has happened to Reba, Kelly Clarkson, P!nk, Dolly Parton, Ke$ha, Britney Spears, Destiny’s Child, and TLC. The most notable thing is that it is happening to females, and female groups.
So, what did Taylor do? She re-recorded and re-released EVERY SINGLE ALBUM that he bought. She knew the lyrics wouldn’t change and she didn’t have everyone back, but it would give her the masters to the same exact songs that he had the masters to. This move, on her part was ingenious. Before she started re-releasing the albums as “Taylor’s Versions” her Masters were valued at just under a billion dollars. This last fall Scooter sold them for 300 million. After all of the transfers and switching fees he lost around 80 million dollars. He also STILL didn’t offer them to her. He is the manager that ‘found’ Justin Bieber. If you look now, Justin, Ariana Grande, and just about everyone else has left him. Ariana is the only one who made a statement, and she said “when the math stops making sense, you have to step away.”

Not really his points are valid
The only thing I would say is the reason men DO have those “disadvantages” is because of other men
And the the reason women have disadvantages also because of men
Which is The patriarchy that effect men both men and women
