@@acmulhernfirstly it's not like the Roman empire, u can't compare that to Palestine because Palestine is holy land for the Jews and they had ruled it for centuries and got expelled out of it several times, that's like what would happen if the Muslims got expelled out of the Hejaz, Mecca or Medinah. Or the Christians getting expelled out of Rome or Constantinople- which did happen for the most part.
Secondly if the Jews are closer to central Europe in their genetics- which is right to a certain extent(for Ashkenazi Jews that is, even tho most of them lived in eastern Europe) why do you think they got persecuted for centuries. Don't think ppl of the same race would commit genocide on each other.
And 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ you did not just say that Judaism began during the fall of the middle ages no pal they have been practising their religion 1800 years before Christianity or Islam.

Also, the majority of Palestinians entered the territory after 1860 - only after a strong Jewish presence was already re-established. The 1947 UN partition plan would’ve given the Palestinians the majority of the land as well as the majority of the important territories while Israel would’ve received mostly the desert in the south. You forgot to include the fact that Israel accepted this plan even though thousands of Jews who were living in what would become Palestinian land would’ve been forced out. The Palestinians rejected this plan, as well as every other peace deal Israel and international powers have offered. Why? Because the main priority of the Palestinian leadership and people has always been the destruction of Israel and the total replacement of it with a Palestinian state over a 2-state solution. This practically misses all of the factors of the conflict. And that “Plan D” was never carried out in any serious manner. Attacks were made against Arab armies and paramilitary groups. Arabs who weren’t forced out by other Arab armies and did not attack Jewish forces were not kicked out and instead they and their families make out roughly 20% of the Israeli population today. With full rights of citizenship. And these Arab Israelis are judges, politicians, doctors, shop keepers, military members, and are found in every walk of life in Israel. The real change in balance of population came around the time of the war of independence when a dozen Arab countries expelled nearly 700,000 Jews of which the majority moved to the new state of Israel.

    HOLY SH!T
I've never in my life heard such a botched version of history told as if this is how things have happened.
I REALLY hope people don't believe you, even though the video sounds and looks really official.
I'll add the things you missed real quick (even though you should read the history for yourself because I also have holes in my knowledge).
So first of all most of the Arabs that lived during the end of WW2 were immigrants from nearby Arab nations, they came there to work for the British who owned the land, that didn't have an official title, nor was it recognised as a country. Second of all, Jews have been living in Israel for years and years before the second or first WWs. Third, Israel accepted those borders suggested by the UN, while the Arabs decided to ethnically cleanse all of the Jews, but failed luckily and Israel was made, though it was much bigger than we know it today. They gave a lot of that land back to Egypt and maybe Jordan for a peace agreement. It is true that there were horrible things done in that war, but then again, it was a war... And I do not appreciate the fact that Israel destroyed these Arabs' houses after they left/were killed, but it happened.
Please, if any of my facts are wrong, feel free to cite me an article that says otherwise, but until that happens, I would massively appreciate it if you'll report this video for misinformation. It twists history in a way it shouldn't be twist, especially not now.

Wikipedia says that in 1922 there were 589,177 Muslims; 73,024 Christians and 83,790 Jews. The brits did that Census according to Wikipedia, so according to that jews were a little over 10% of the population in Palestine and the vast majority were Muslims. So correct me if I am wrong, just google search Demographic history of Palestine and go to the Wikipedia Article to search for the data. So it looks just the opposite of what you said, the jews ethnically cleansed the arabs through forced deportation to make way for a jewish state.

You left out a couple of seriously important details. The UN proposed to create two states in the former British Palestine Mandate. Jewish leadership accepted. Arab leadership rejected the deal specifically because they were against any plan that would result in a nation for the Jews in that region of the world. They wanted the entirety, including Jerusalem, to be an Arab Muslim state. And they weren’t satisfied simply with protesting the plan. Instead, they kicked it up a thousand notches by declaring war on the new Jewish state, attacking with the intent to eliminate the new nation, and encouraging the local Arabs to leave their homes and villages while the invasion was being carried out. The Arab armies were driven back and ended up losing the war they started. When you start a war, as the surrounding Arab nations did, or ally yourself with the side who started the shooting, as the local Arab (later called Palestinian) population did, and then lose the war you started, you shouldn’t be surprised at the resulting negative consequences.

  • @Z-Gaming7
    @Z-Gaming7 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

First, all civilians are innocent and have nothing to do with the war and don't deserve this treatment. You decided not to tell the part where Arabs raided and massacred the Jews. Also, Palestinians may have been living in that land whereas the land is historically Jewish, before the Romans expelled the Jews from their land. Arabs weren't forced to leave, they decided to leave themselves. You talk about Jews doing ethnic cleansing, when Palestinians make 20% of Jewish population, and enjoy the most rights in the whole area, and there are 0 Jews living in Gaza. Palestine was proposed a two-state solution countless times, but kept on rejecting it. I don't blame he Jews for trying to defend themselves, as if they stop, Hamas will wipe them out. They are not trying to bomb civilians but are trying to end Hamas who is hiding in the civilian area and launching attacks on Israel. Civilians dying is the sad reality of war. But you can't say Hamas is innocent for intentionally going into Israel territory and slaughtering every living thing in sight.

    - Who was their ruler before 1948?
    - If it was under the British mandate, how could they have a country?
    - Why did they attack the Jews first?
    - Why didn't they form a state like Israel did?
    - Why no Arab nation (there are 22) except Palestinian refugees?
    - Gaza as a border with Egypt. Why is it also closed for 16 years?
    - Why Egypt doesn't allow building refugee camps for the suffering people of Gaza?
    - Hamas in Gaza say they ran out of water and medicine, but they don't seem to run out of missiles?

      - The British
      - They didnt have a country but the ethnic Arabs lived in the Region in a large majority for a long time and should have had a right for self determination
      - The Arabs atacked the Jews first because they saw them as an foreign invader which tried to take their land. They saw/see all of Palestine as Arab land so from their viewpoint they are defending their land. Would you like it if your country would have to give up half it land because the europeans sad so?
      - Its kinda hard to form a state when you lose a war are constantly occupied and if Terror Groups use the instability to take the power
-Why should they? The other Arab countries have enough own problems. The Palestinians should have their own land. Also they fear that when all the Palestinians leave Gaza Israel wont let them back in. Also Israel could stop to make it impossible for Gaza to be selfsufficent.

It would be a reasonable assumption that there was a deal that Israel backed out of, but there never was one. Stories like this video are deliberately telling a story that isn’t accurate to make a simple story more available. That simple story isn’t a true one, I know summaries like this aren’t the best but they should at least be in good faith, this is not. A bad deal is a discussion, but waging war along side every other border nation, 1947, is also a bad deal. They made their deal and lost. And again in the 60’s and lost again.
It’s disingenuous to summarize the situation in this way. I don’t like it at all but I was really saddened by our ability to understand it when I found out more detail. It just isn’t as simple as one group good, one group bad. The whole thing is bad.

@@zainebhammouda5529 my statement was mostly about adding some context to the video, not to establish who is the “good” side or whatever. This video is seriously lacking a lot of critical points on the timeline. The conversation is really difficult to have because there’s some seriously competing narratives out there and telling incomplete stories doesn’t help at all.
However, as far as your question goes I think that’s an important one to discuss. As a westerner I don’t feel the need to tell them how to live their life but there’s some relevant points perhaps. First, they all lived there for about 650 years without resorting to all out war and it seems like perhaps there would have been a way to at least try that out. They were neighbors and trading partners under the Ottoman Empire. It’s not a foregoing conclusion that they couldn’t stay in their homes. Second, they weren’t the only place to have a fresh start at making a nation from scratch after over 1000 years of colonial rule. Jordan didn’t exist before and they made a new country, Lebanon had issues with competing religions and groups that were at odds with each other and they made a new country. The whole region was being organized for new countries with new leadership and old problems. The country of Turkey didn’t exist before either. Lots of tough problems and new passports all over the region. This problem was definitely not a unique one and it was without a doubt not avoidable.
Would I want to relocate? Probably not, eh. But I don’t think that question really advances the conversation really well. After all nobody wanted to leave their home. That was the problem.
(and no, I’m not in any way advocating for further mistreatment of the Palestinians or bombing of any kind. But with an issue this complex it’s incredible unhelpful if the most pervasive narrative is like 50% not correct. That will only drag this out and make it worse. Stories matter)

That's because there were negotiations before of separating the land but the palestinians refused. They were planning of giving 55% of the land to the jewish refugees including the coasts and farming land that the palestinian economy heavily relied on. They said that they'll take the jews as citizens but they won't accept any separation of the land and in response they massacred them in order to scare the people into leaving. That is what caused other arab countries to react and gather their armies, but they were poor and just out of colonisation so they lost as the israeli army was backed by britain (the colonizers of the arabs) and the US.

In 1948, both funded israel and sent them the best weapons while the arabs were just out of decades of colonisation (some were still under European rule even) and poor. The arabs couldn't buy weapons from the enemy or even produce them and many people were still traumatized by the wars of independence. Regardless of what you think, the jews and palestinians have the same ancestors and they're indigenous to the land. Ben Gurion even believed that the palestinians will let go of their arab culture and join the jewish state since they had no racial link to the arabs (but they were descendants of the canaanites and samaritan jews that converted). That didn't happen of course and the division increased after the Nakba. Go watch the statements given by israeli soldiers during the massacre of Tantura (1948) for example. Palestine was a region not a country, Arabs from Jordan Syria Lebanon and Egypt and Jews were living together under many empires, there is no mention of Palestinians untill the British mandate for Palestine started the creation of Israel. After arab nations opposed they decided to divide the region of Palestine between the Jews and Arabs with majority vote by the UN in 1947. The Arabs of the region , now Palestinians, rejected all offers ever since .

There is no “historic Palestine” unless referring to Palestinia under Roman rule. The area we know as Palestine has been Syrian, Jordanian, Ottoman, etc. and what this clip fails to mention is that plan D wasn’t carried out “just because” -it was because the Jewish people were first kicked out of their homes in Europe, thought “okay, we’ll just go back to our ancestral homeland” only to be harassed and threatened there, too. So instead of waiting for the Arab population to start killing them, the Jews fought back, albeit preemptively. But such is the story of the Jewish people all throughout time. They’re always the bad guys. Doesn’t matter what’s done to them. They’re always somehow in the wrong.

The european jews were innocent in europe 99% of the time.
But obviously european jews are guilty of colonizing palestine. Even zeev jabotinsky admitted it
