- MOOER micro preamps are sonically accurate digital recreations of the preamp sections of popular tube amplifiers. We have developed these by directly analyzing real tube amplifiers using a brand new technology to capture their sound, dynamics and response. Each Micro Preamp comes complete with dual channels, integrated speaker cabinet simulation and dual operating modes to suit the needs of all users.
Initially we are releasing a set of 10 models, each based on a different popular tube amplifier from a range of manufacturers. These have been designed to be used with the upcoming MOOER power amp or in the effects return of any standard guitar amplifier. The speaker cab simulation allows the user to connect direct to a soundcard, powered monitor or P.A. without the need for a guitar amp or speaker cab at all.

Probably one of the best from the current range.
I just bought this pedal and all of the channels are great, but the clean channel on the cabinet simulator option with a little bit of gain makes this pedal absolutely amazing!
I was expecting a fairly cool sound, but WOW. For the price, it's awesome

which pedal do you prefer between 005, 008, and 009 for modern metal tones?
Ya know I had a Mesa boogie Mk 2 back in the early 80s and to hear what they can do know with this technology is awesome. I can see why a pro studio guy might want the real thing but for many people this is so good it's a toss up. I mean people don't want to pay you anything to play so why go broke on equipment? At some point the music needs to be more important than ultra-fine shadings in the tone of the guitar. Now if they could make this a Plug-in for a DAW then game over.

Sounded great but I would like to hear a completely dry without all their reverb that's kind of coloring in fattening the tone and it would be beneficial to hear it all by itself without a push from the green mile
I have that pedal, and I can say it sounds 100% NOTHING like that! It's post processed to make it sound better than it actually is

Just got one of these. I was running it by itself into my computer and a bit disappointing for soloing. Gotta use an overdrive for sure as the sustain is not great. Good tone - wish I had known that before purchasing though.

Hi i had issues with my cali pre amp 008 - it doesn't work on a 9V 300ma power supply properly centre negative. and it doesn't work on a 500ma 9v adaptor s well=(? whats the adaptor or the brand you are using for this =(? please help! give me a good solution please!

These pedals are a bit picky with power. They seem to work well with a Boss 9.6V - 200mA adapter.

What is a mooer tube engine 20w?
On the channel 2 part, couldn't tell if drums was hitting an open hi-hat or tambourine. I'm imagining a Swede in full corpse paint banging a tambourine with a "fresh" skin head on it.

009 Blacknight for sure (based on Engl Blackstar), or even the 001 Gas Station (based on Diezel Herbert). The Gas Station is actually the most brutal metal of all 20 of the Mooer pedals BTW.
