I don't believe the affair rumours. 1. After the rumours started in 2019 they were all pictured going to church together in 2020. 2. Kate attended a festival on Rose's estate last year. 3. Rose's son was one of the four page boys at the coronation last year. 4. Rose and her husband attended. 5. Pippa named her daughter Rose in 2022. 6. Royal reporter have been looking into the rumours for years and haven't found anything.

Planned surgery does NOT mean "planned way ahead in the future", at least not in the medical language. Planned surgery is just the opposite of emergency surgery.
So if the patient was not rushed to the operating room right away, without any preparation or stay in the hospital, then it was a planned surgery. Even if the hospital stay wasn't planned beforehand, even if the delay was just a few hours between the patient being admitted and them being scheduled to the later day or earliest morning slot, it's still a planned surgery. So you may, at any given day, not knowing anything is wrong and not expecting anything, have a health emergency, get to a hospital and have a planned surgery scheduled later that day or the next morning - and as long as you weren't rushed ASAP on the table, because you were in a life-threatening state, it's a planned surgery.
So the statement doesn't mean that she, or anyone, knew weeks or even days in advance that she will have surgery; she could have known, but the statement states nothing on it. It only means that at the moment of getting surgery, her life wasn't in an immediate danger and she didn't have to be rushed into the OR, nothing more or less than that.

To be clear, SWOOP, the AP declared that Kensington Palace (home of William and Kate) was no longer a trusted source, not "the palace", which is the term used for Buckingham Palace, the seat of the Royal family and specifically the monarch. There's a huge difference.

There was a journalist in the UK (can't recall her name for the life of me) but she basically wrote one article calling out Meghan Markle saying she did not have the right to ask for privacy after her birth of her first child since her lifestyle was supported by the British taxpayers. And recently that same journalist wrote a saying all the speculation about Kate is terrible/insensitive & that everyone should respect her privacy. I do truly hope Kate is okay. But the double standard and hypocrisy when it comes to the royal family/establishment is wild.

I bet that you're not British because this shows that you don't understand how the British monarchy works. The birth of a baby is wildly important for a British tax payer will pay for that child for the rest of his/her life as they have the potential to become a queen / king. However, when it comes to Princess Kate, they announced that she will be away till after Easter as she is having surgery. So from this point on till after Easter they have nothing more to say to the British public, unless there is a life threatening issue with her life. So, yes she deserves privacy, whilst the child and the birth records need to be public. The child then will have privacy, be able to go to school etc...only for special occasions he will have his picture taken and be public. Remember, their life style is funded by the British tax payer so they do have duties.

Hi, as a woman who has had two abdominal surgeries (gall bladder and hysterectomy) they can take a long time to heal from. It can take weeks to be comfortable enough to wear jeans or pants. With a hysterectomy it takes an extremely long time for the internal stitches to heal. You can't even lift anything over 10 pounds for 10 weeks. If she had, say, a hysterectomy she may not want the world to know bc some people get weird about that. It would also explain why she hasn't been seen in months. They have to wear specific clothes to a lot of events and she may not have been comfortable wearing heels, nylons, etc and standing for a long time.
Hear hear! I've had a hysterectomy, a kidney transplant, and two post-transplant "fix things up" surgeries, all in the abdominal area. And honey? SAME. Our torso moves much more than we realize, making even getting out of bed a real pain (and all that movement = longer recovery times.) And I don't even have three kids wanting time with me, nor a slew of people who "need" to know my health business, which would be even more stressful during recovery. I just wish her a speedy recovery, and that she can have a freaking moment or three for herself, so she can take c of herself.
It's hard for me to fathom that anyone would feel shame about having a hysterectomy or any type of surgery for that matter. The human body is not perfect for most people and because of that many people need surgeries, have health issues, take medications, etc. Nothing to be ashamed about.

It all makes perfect sense now (the Cancer announcement timing). Easter break is 2 weeks long for school kids in the UK and started today. She wanted to protect her kids from media/schoolyard discussion for a bit after she made the announcement, so she waited for the holiday.
Not all schools started the break today, I'm working in one and we're open until Thursday next week

Exactly! Recovery time can vary person to person. So it's not about the length of time it's been. It's about them trying to cover something up and lying that's sketchy.

The Palace didn't blame her-- Catherine (as she prefers to be called) has been getting into amateur photography for a few years now, a little photoshop here or there. She made one of those photos for Mother's Day and released it. The public panic was over nothing and only added to her stress.

In this case, lines were just retouched to for clarity, to erase blurriness, cover up a few things for a "professional" spread, etc.: none of the children were "retouched" ala the Kardashian style. Furthermore, the edits weren't out of place with other officially released photographs from celebrities or dignitaries. It just wasn't the right time, probably, to hand out photos because the public was already trigger-fingered, imo.

To be fair, Swoop did an amazing job respecting privacy about medical issues and even speculated herself that this vid might not age well. And their “job” is literally to be in the public eye and this was one of the most respectful “Kate gossip” videos I’ve seen.
The video aged exponentially in less than 24 hours. I agree that Swoop did a great job respecting Catherine's medical privacy throughout and kept the topic on the conspiracy theories surrounding the doctored photos and the RF's history of bungling their PR and communications efforts.

I will say that my mother had abdominal surgery that was much worse than the surgeons expected and was put in a medically induced coma for months to give her body time to heal.
I don’t need/want her specifics but good lord it would be so easy to give a generic update based in truth instead of all this weird stuff.
My mother had a colon resection and she was hospitalized for a long time and required a very long recovery. People think the royals are immune to major medical issues 🤦🏼♀️
I just discovered all this crap the other day, but what I heard is they did release a generic statement saying she was recovering nicely and would return to duty next month (can’t remember exact date). What I don’t understand is why she isn’t allowed to recover in private without all the prying eyes trying to catch photos of her. I can guarantee the paparazzi are laying low somewhere outside of their residence, with their high power camera lenses (just like the private yacht photos) looking in every window trying to see if she’s inside. Maybe the family moved her and the children to some remote location, or even another country, to recover in absolute peace. With all the worst case conspiracy theories, I thought maybe I should see what’s going on. 🤷🏼♀️ People should just wait and see and leave the family alone.

Used to work as a security analyst for Healthcare Medical Record software - Famous people's medical records are under lock and key. Usually if someone accesses those types of record a prompt is made where you as a clinician have to provide justification for accessing the record if you aren't assigned to their chart. The fact people keep publishing these records online thinking they can get away with it is insane to me. PHI breach is a BIG NO NO and they track the fuck out of that stuff. It's a sure fire way to get blacklisted in the industry and get yourself in huge legal trouble.
You would hope that a clinic as prestigious like the London Clinic would have a really good electronic medical record. And yeah most systems would have something like a break glass system if someone is trying to get access to a patient they dont need to. No money is worth anyone breaking the law

I can understand why she took some time for herself to digest this and start treatment.
I think some important context (from a British perspective) is that a lot of people still believe the Palace was involved in the death of the last Princess of Wales - Diana. Kate is genuinely one of the most popular Royals, much like Diana was, and I think a large part of what’s feeding the fear is that history will repeat itself. If the rumours of affairs and/or abuse are true it’s possible we could be looking at divorce. Again. For the first in line to the throne and his future Queen. Again. Charles & Diana’s divorce did not go well for the royal family, and they’re already at a public low point. There was a rumour on St Patrick’s day that Charles had died, and press reported it as “disappointingly untrue”.
Of course we want her to be fine, she’s mum to young kids, and still a fairly young woman in her own right, it would be tragic if something happened to her. But the Palace has been unusually cack-handed at handling this, when they’re usually the perfect PR team, it’s making everyone nervous.

I was married for 27 years and divorced for 7 and a half years. I have my problems with my ex husband. But not ONCE did he yell at me. I yelled at him one time over something pretty bad and I immediately apologize because nobody should be screamed at it's inhuman. We had our disagreements and even our arguments but not once did we ever get into a screaming match

Because Kate and William needed to come to terms with the news. How is it anyone else’s business right now. She’s been forced to make that statement because of people demanding to know what’s going on. Do people immediately tell everyone in their whole family, friends and colleagues when they get a diagnosis or do they come to terms with it first. I think it’s really sad how people have been behaving.

Only thing I was referring to is how they outright stated it's definitely NOT cancer, but I get the point. If Kate is ill or recovering from something serious our future king would not allow press involvement, or allow the palace to comment. after everything that happened surrounding his mothers death and after, he will not want that involvement for his wife and children. He will insist on their privacy and well the palace is scrambling to cover rather than just not saying anything. That's what I think is most likely.

I was 17 years old when Princess Diana died, and I remember all of the rumors and tabloids going crazy with so many different stories about how and why it happened.. I’ve never trusted the Royal family ever since and any time something like this happens, it just reminds me of what they did to that poor woman and how they generally treat the women of the Royal men over there.. I truly hope she is ok, for her children’s sake if nothing else..
I was also about the same age, just a little bit older. The conspiracy theories have been proven false. Do some research on it. Andrew is gross and should not at all be making any public appearances with the Royal Family, but at the end of the day they also are a family and it is a difficult balance between their role in public service and as a private family. Check out Lady Colin’s book about Princess Di and her TH-cam channel. She is very fair and she has a lot of insider knowledge and info. Check it out. I changed my mind about a lot of things that the media had convinced me otherwise for a long time.

I think part of the problem is that there used to be updates on even medical things, at the very least a thank you for the well wishes while recovering like in the King's cancer journey showing him going through cards sent. But releasing that photoshopped picture as official has caused so much harm to the palace's credibility. You don’t get that trust back. I hope she's well.

One more thing to add, which I feel like people who don’t live in the UK might not know. Marylebone (and the KE hospital) is in London, think that’s fairly obvious. Sandringham is in Norfolk. That’s a 2 and a half hour drive. If she was in an ambulance, she would not be driven to London.
I came here to say this. I have worked at the hospital closest to Sandringham and know for a fact that it has been used by the Royal family for a long time.

As a half-Brit who's loosely followed the Royals her whole life, this has all been handled so abnormally, it reeks of the weirdness before the Charles and Diana divorce - which is likely why everyone is raising eyebrows. The Royal motto, as many have echoed, is "Never complain, never explain." And for the non-acquainted.... it is SO UNLIKE The Firm to let Wills and Kate just take random photos and photoshop them without massive approval. This wasn't a whoopsie. That's why no one buys it and why it all feels so wrong. These faked/sus photos and videos reek of "explaining" a perfectly legitimate sounding health announcement in January, if it was true. Maybe the surgery wasn't planned for THEN (hence Italy) but it suddenly needed to be moved up as things changed. But for me what stands out is the fact the Palace is so desperate for people to believe she is okay, they have ended their credibility doing so; the fact the press, who have stayed quiet about Hanbury since 2019, suddenly published profiles on her after the Photoshop almost out of low key spite; and the fact they could easily end this all with Kate jumping on a video with someone from BBC from home being like, "Hello, jolly good here, thanks for the love." The lack of comment from her family, and her uncle's unusual wording on BB ("IF she announces it, I will have a comment about it")... I hope she's okay. My gut says they're either downplaying the severity of what happened because having her and Charles gravely ill at once is destabilizing, or Kate wants to file for divorce and they're trying to talk her out of it because Charles is ill. They're the simplest explanations for the franticness of KP.
Seriously doubt she wants a divorce. Their relationship has been rock solid for years. If I’m wrong I will truly be shocked.

I hear you. However, Lady Colin, author and socialite who saved, renovated, and now runs Castle Goring in England (she’s from Jamaica), has a lot of insider knowledge and info about the Royal family. She stated recently (she also has a TH-cam channel which is great) that people who work for the Royal family aren’t always pro-Royal family, so that could also be causing issues and can be difficult to screen for. If someone is competent to take a position for the Royal family, it’s not like you can’t hire them just because they aren’t 100% pro royal family….

As a Brit, I believe the Palace handled this badly and should have released more update statements. It was also extremely misguided on their part to release an edited photo but, at the same time, I didn't expect more than statements and they were being pressured for "proof of life". As a rational person, I just assumed that Kate was recovering and not up for being seen in public. In January, the Palace said that she would be back by Easter but the press ignored that and stoked the fires of ridiculous conspiracy theories.
But now we have an answer. Kate has, in person, on camera, announced that she has cancer and is receiving treatment for it. It's sad and I wish her all the best. I just hope that people and the press will now leave her alone.
Honestly, if I was recovering from surgery, I wouldn't want an up-to-date picture of me in the press. She might look worse for wear---or at least far less polished than expected of public figures. Image is a big deal to public figures, including the royal family. If she doesn't feel like she looks put-together enough for a photo, then she would likely say no to being photographed. The Photoshoped images are definitely weird and a little shady, but the most likely answer for why we haven't seen a real, contemporary photo is Kate refuses. The bad Photoshop photos may have been a botched compromise. Simplest explanation I can speculate.

My sister had a hysterectomy, and she had a very short hospital visit, not months and months. If it was that, something went wrong.

I remember she was in pain because they literally “emptied her abdomen” gladly after 15 years she’s fine and 100% cáncer free. So please be kind, not everyone heals the same, we are all different and complications are always possible when having any medical procedure. Now that it has been abounded she indeed has cancer we should try our nerdy to respect her privacy and let her recover peacefully💜
She announced yesterday that she has been diagnosed with cancer and has started treatment. I feel so awful for her. I’d want some peace and quiet too if I’d had such shocking news. I hope this is a lesson to everyone to stop speculating and mind their own business 🙄 people deserve privacy, leave them alone!

I would like to offer a defense of William. @ohnonotagain8935 depending on the sprain and the severity, it absolutely can and will take longer than a few weeks to heal. I have injured fingers that took several months to heal without reinjuring them. My husband has sprained his ankles so severely that there is permanent damage to the ligaments.

As someone who has had 2 abdominal surgeries one more emergency and one more planned. If I had surgery scheduled for January and my surgeons okayed a trip a month before you best believe I would be going. I don't understand how anyone could even consider this weird. The lead up to the surgery sucks because hello surgery, and depending on the surgery the recovery sucks. I mean even being in a car for 10 minutes can be sheer hell. So yeah given the opportunity to "get out of Dodge" for a while prior to that that is completely understandable.
I got my appendix taken out the day before my brothers graduation at 13, got released from the hospital and went straight to his graduation in a push wheelchair, I had never hated having a last name starting with W more then that day… Lets just say I stayed in bed for at least a week after and it was my appendix.. although my incision was bigger then most appendectomy’s it’s exactly why you shouldn’t push yourself while recovering.
Totally. I had scheduled abdominal surgery Jan 24 and although I didn’t go on a trip prior - I was cleaning my house from top to bottom knowing I wouldn’t be doing anything for a while. I think most people prior to a planned surgery do things and go places knowing they won’t be able to during their recovery.
If they left Sandringham which is in Norfolk, they wouldn’t be driving to a hospital in London it’s hours away!

All the media noise, gossip columns and tiktok "sleuths" and the nonsense they are spouting must be awful to try to deal with on top of what they are going through.
The poor lassie has the right to keep her own health issues private but has obviously felt the need to release the statement about her diagnosis and treatment plan due to all the wild speculation and conspiracy theories surrounding her. Can you imagine what her poor kids are probably hearing at school from other kids.
I genuinely feel sorry for her.
So what, she played around with photoshop to touch up wee things in the photo that, as so many people do, she thought didn't look right.
In my wee humble opinion, there is nothing to see here folks, move along and let the lassie and her wee family deal with one of the most frightening things a young mummy can be told.

PK is supposedly attending church on Easter Sunday with PW and the children. This will hopefully put the lid on the drama; however; should PK not show, then there is definitely something sinister going on. 😮 This is when we can really be concerned.

This video is hilarious - am based in UK, the public is not following this as much as you might think. Imagine if none of the gossip is true 😂😂😂😂 and she's just recovering. Do I/we know, no, are we interested, no. What a fuss being made - time will tell if we ever find out.... Swoop - you can always look back at this and do a follow up on how much fuss. Having seen a lot more of Catherine than some commentators - I reckon the pictures are of Kate - but who knows.
