My son married a narcissist as well. I was the first person on her hit list. All of his friends were soon eliminated from his life as well as other family members who saw through her. It's been excruciating to endure. The way that Harry's father, brother, sister in law and other family members have handled these two brats has set a powerful example for me to admire and learn from.

    • @marwatson7408

Exactly having family members married to one also it seems to start with one person then escalates to others family members and then friends. Me sister was married to one thank God the marriage only lasted a year My father in law was not so lucky he died on his deathbed realizing it to late. He told my brother in law with tears in his eyes 👀 how sorry he was that he let to much time go by my brother in law was the only family member still speaking to him after his second wife pretty much cherry picked who could be in his life and who couldn’t and the sad part was he let it happen. If she didn’t like you for whatever reason and believe me she would find something you were no longer part of his life anymore. She actually told me that her and I would never have a relationship because she didn’t like my husband.🤷🏼‍♀️ even though I knew my father in law years before his son and I got married. So I can relate to what you are saying like you said everyone see right through these people and everybody is a threat to them. Meagan knows people see through her nonsense thats why she wants to isolate Harry from his family and friends. Like my father- in - law I think Harry will realize it too late.

No I’m not trying to be rude but let me give you some idea of how it was my husband never made peace with his father because for 25 years 3 out of his 4 children weren’t allowed in his home. That’s where we placing the blame on my father in law because you don’t let someone come into your life and start cherry pick your family or friends. He wants his children out of his life the only person they better hear it from his him not their step mother. Over the years my father in law had numerous confrontations with other family members, friends, his employees , business associates you name over the way his wife has treated them by the way all of these people are no longer part of his life anymore. When when he died my father in law had a wife, 2 stepsons, about 18 grandchildren, 5 siblings, numerous nieces and nephews and the only one standing in the room holding his hand when he passed away was a nurse. Not his wife who he spent 25 years defending with one lame excuse after another for her horrible behavior towards everyone. She had a memorial service and called his family after the fact and the same went for their wedding when they got married his family was told after the fact when her family/ friends got invited to the wedding. This give you an idea of what kind of person she is and like I said my father in law realized it to late. My father in law like Harry had no balls to stand up to the people they are married too.

That was so sad with the suicide threat. He literally looks frazzled, besieged and I don't think it's because of his family or the media. Harry is not capable of deception like most people, he's extremely expressive and so I believe he genuinely did go through a period of healing and acceptance after the troubled years. For MM to dig up and weaponize his trauma like that is horrendous

      @ellenreyes7874 3 ปีที่แล้ว +71

I still cannot believe that she had the audacity to actually say to ANYONE that she was so lonely and mistreated and thought of taking her own life. First, she loves herself way too much to attempt suicide, all she was trying to accomplish was to want to BE Princess Diana, as Diana did admit later on that the felt like killing herself. That's it. Simple as that. And nobody caught that? She was doing all she could to bring these things up to the man, knowing exactly who he was, and made she she was protected at all times. The problem with that is Prince Harry believed every word she said. She is using him beyond belief. She cares nothing about HIM. If the Brits have a morning show and I think they do, she was on his program with Peirs Morgan, and something happened so disturbing that I've only heard bits and pieces of it. Way off topic. I only wanted to say if she is doing anything, anything at all you better believe she is being compensated for it. I feel so bad for Prince Harry. He will come to realize it much to late. He has not even grieved his own mothers death. And pulls something like that ( Meghan)

I was married to a narcissist. Married at the age of 17. I am now 66 years old. I left my husband in the hard 2000 and looking back on my life how's he was totally controling. My family members were no good. He liked to move around a lot and liked to keep a distance from family. If I met a new female and wanted to be friend's with her he would find something negative about her and not be welcoming. It was pretty much like that with everyone that wanted to become friend's and visit. I could never do anything right and if something went wrong in our life even with the 3 children it was all my fault. My house cleaning wasn't good enough, my cooking wasn't good enough, my dressing, clothing wasn't good enough. Today My Granddaughter, not by blood made mention that when her Nono died. Grandma was free at last, unfortunately that has come way too late in life for me, but whatever remaining years I have left I am determined to try to live life to the fullest. You are in denial that you are in an unhealthy relationship, your friends are not welcome to either come or to even call you. Now when I can, they are all gone. You can complete 9 things out of ten and that one you don't complete is the one they will complain about. Being in a Narcissistic Abusive marriage, for almost 2 decades...(I've been saying from the first time that I watched they're sit-down interview. That she's a Narcissist)...It was shortly after I found out about the kind of abuse that I had been living through, and what it was.
He played the suicide game, while I truly became suicidal...which made me try twice, and was found both in comas, by accident (with someone finding). I still have problems, but I'm getting help, and on medications to help me.
NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder) is very destructive, to the victims.
MM most definitely has NPD, possibly with other forms of personality disorders, too...Harry is a victim of NPD Abuse, with the whole world watching it happen, and the only people who don't see it, are either Narcissists themselves, in a relationship with one, or don't know anything about it.
I hope that Harry wakes up soon, and gets out of it...sadly it gets worse with children, and harder to leave, knowing that the children will be used as a weapon, and an easier way to get the victim back (or do more harm). The children are going to be abused by her, too.
MM always grabbing his hand, is her showing dominance over him, and if he doesn't say exactly what she wants him to, she squeezes his hand, for Harry to correct what he was saying; to what she wants him to say.
NPD, and Narcissism, is finally becoming a Big Topic, now...Finally.

I was in a relationship with a narcissist for 23 years. It has taken me about as long to realize the fog I was in. Now, just as your analysis of Prince Harry makes clear, I don't know why I didn't get it sooner.

I was in a relationship for the same amount of time. I had a year long severe breakdown during that time, not knowing what was wrong with me. I separated from him during that year but kept going back. Finally I ended up staying for another 10 years. So after 23 years it ended by my leaving him for good because he'd done something completely unforgivable. He blamed everyone else. It was my adult son who saw long before I could, he was also severely damaged but very intelligent and insightful. He told me his side of the story and my eyes were opened. Since then I've realised that I had grown up amongst narcissists and though I grew up feeling unhappy and that something wasn't right it wasn't enough for me to see what was wrong.
My ex has been out of my life for 20 years but my other family members weren't. In the past 6 years I have stopped seeing them one by one. But although I sometimes am in the moment and can laugh and feel okay it comes back and I feel doomed and depressed.
I understand how you feel and hope that things will get better for you if they haven't already. My son says we're survivors, but damaged.

Harry's wife's control of him and his "addiction" to her make them to unpredictable and dangerous to be around the RF. Addicts must acknowledge that they have a problem and seek "real" help. Even more, they must show real signs of improvement; otherwise, they will lash out and hurt those that truly care about them. That hurt can be both verbal as well as physical. My opinion, the RF should keep these two at a far distance for their own mental and physical safety.

You don’t realize you’re in a narcissistic relationship when you’re in it….it’s very difficult to disengage and think rationally without emotion taking a hold of you. The narcissistic partner is very good at confusing you, telling you that you are their world, and at the same time making you feel like you’re not good enough for anyone. They’ll say they’re sorry, only to repeat the behaviour over and over. They’ll blame you or others for their behaviour, never taking responsibility. They’ll turn themselves into a victim so you, the loving partner you are, will take care of them, and protect them.
I left my narcissistic husband over 14 years ago and even though I had to go to a shelter with my children to escape, it was the best day of my life. I felt so liberated, I felt like I could breathe again. And even though he suckered me into going back to him twice more before finally leaving for good, I am so glad I took the steps to leave. He was a dangerous person, he threatened suicide as well, he made himself out to be a victim, he blamed me for all his shortcomings, he praised me, and when I didn’t agree with his behaviour he put me down and called me names.
Leaving a narcissistic partner is tricky, you really have to know them and talk to professionals before taking any steps on how to leave with minimal risk of safety.
I haven’t watched their documentary or any documentary pertaining to them as a couple, I can’t bring myself to watching her. Makes me cringe.

Narcissism is not well understood even today, although TOW's (and Chump's) very public embrace of it has awoken many people to its existence and *danger*. Having had years of experience with one (my mother), I can tell you that narcissists are very sneaky.
For some of my childhood I was not very aware of what she was doing, although I knew something was off. Later, I could not understand why. She always "behaved" when family or company came over. That was the sneaky part. Since I could not understand why or even what she was doing I thought, if I could literally buy her love, she would love me. It didn't work. And she swung wildly back and forth in her behavior.
One day she would be buying me a custom wardrobe to start high school (we had uniforms), the next she would nitpick every little thing I was doing "wrong". I *never* really did anything very wrong, was never punished (unlike my brothers) because I was terrified I would lose what little love she had for me. I just thank God every day that He blessed me with a strong psychological constitution, such that I could withstand her attacks until I was ready to move away from her. We went no contact for over two years, and my peace of mind was breathtaking. And sad.

I think he's a nice guy. He made dumbass choices as a young guy, like we all did when we were young, but there's nothing sinister or malicious about him at ALL. I think Chelsea should have married him. She was his first love. They both had similar boisterous, laugh-out-loud personalities. They dated for several years on and off. In the end, she noped out because she said she didn't want the scrutiny of royal life. I think if Harry REALLY felt like his royal life was terrible, he would have left for Chelsea. I mean, if it was his own choice. But here he fell for an actress who waited until she had a ring on her finger, his baby in her belly, and she was threatening to kill them both if things didn't change.... Harry's hand was forced. He's so super trapped. I honestly think he'll this will all end in him developing substance abuse issues (anxiety/anti-depressant pills overuse/mixing) or, worst case, suicide (God Forbid it). There's no positive outcome for him unless he leaves her, leaves the kids, and goes back home to his family.

There are many constants to be observed in videos of MM. A major one is that she ALWAYS knows exactly where the camera is and plays to it, without fail (0:40). Like most people, I liked her until the engagement interview where she came across so giddy and phoney and not at all like a 30+, previously married, world-wise woman who understood the gravity of what she was taking on. Aside from the rumors, there were the things we could see, from the overshadowing and control of Harry to that ghastly behavior at Eugenie's wedding. All pointed to MM being an unrepentant narcissist which thankfully more people have caught on to now. There can only be so much smoke before you have to admit there's a fire and this one is a global dumpster fire!

I honestly put that aside and gave her a second chance. Thinking the Oprah interview was going to prove that she’s been treated unfairly. It was just a bunch of finger pointing, lies and whining by an entitled, self obsessed, manipulative brat.
I knew early on she only wanted a Royal Title (not the duties or lifestyle) with the Hollywood life. To be a Princess amongst celebrities. I didn’t expect her to go about the plan so rapidly and so obviously.

narcissistic personality disorder and how severe they are can vary. People with the disorder can:
Have an unreasonably high sense of self-importance and require constant, excessive admiration.
Feel that they deserve privileges and special treatment.
Expect to be recognized as superior even without achievements.
Make achievements and talents seem bigger than they are.
Be preoccupied with fantasies about success, power, brilliance, beauty or the perfect mate.
Believe they are superior to others and can only spend time with or be understood by equally special people.
Be critical of and look down on people they feel are not important.
Expect special favors and expect other people to do what they want without questioning them.
Take advantage of others to get what they want.
Have an inability or unwillingness to recognize the needs and feelings of others.
Be envious of others and believe others envy them.
Behave in an arrogant way, brag a lot and come across as conceited.
Insist on having the best of everything - for instance, the best car or office.
At the same time, people with narcissistic personality disorder have trouble handling anything they view as criticism. They can:
Become impatient or angry when they don't receive special recognition or treatment.
Have major problems interacting with others and easily feel slighted.
React with rage or contempt and try to belittle other people to make themselves appear superior.
Have difficulty managing their emotions and behavior.
Experience major problems dealing with stress and adapting to change.
Withdraw from or avoid situations in which they might fail.
Feel depressed and moody because they fall short of perfection.
Have secret feelings of insecurity, shame, humiliation and fear of being exposed as a failure.

I have only just found this video and you have put into clear and concise words all the things that I have been thinking and trying to say on various other sites ever since I saw Meghan on the Oprah interview stating that she had felt alone and suicidal. It was so obvious that it was a very cruel way to play on Harry's fear and insecurity. I couldn't believe that anyone would stoop so low as to try and recreate how his mother felt when she admitted to throwing herself downstairs when she was pregnant! I didn't believe a word of it but I could see how it had the desired effect on Harry.
She got her way in persuading him that they needed to get out of the Royal Family and back to where she wanted to be, the USA. It was all part of her plan to escape the "boring" royal duties (shaking hands and cutting ribbons was never part of her plan) and become a celebrity based on the fact that she had bagged a Prince.
I'm sure poor Harry thought he was going to live a quiet life away from the spotlight and just do normal things but instead of that he found himself even more in the glare of the publicity that he was trying to get away from. It's so sad that she had made him so dependant on her (by the things that you pointed out) that he was terrified of losing his "soulmate" who understood him so well and who he believed wanted the same things as he did. He was so under her spell (control) that he just went along with everything she planned because he couldn't bear the thought of being alone.
I really dread to think what his mental state is at the present time. Is he slowly beginning to realise how he was deceived and that he's trapped with this awful selfish, controlling woman or is he still convinced that she is the only one who can save him and that he couldn't function without her? I'd like to think that this recent solo trip to Mozambique is like a kind of "retreat" where he can be himself and think for himself and try to extricate himself from the position he is now in. Hopefully it wasn't her idea that he should go and do some damage limitation after his disastrous speech at the UN.

I think this video, comes across as a sincere, intelligent , assessment of Harry, and his problems. Thank you!
You may not have the written qualifications, but you express your thoughts and beliefs so well.
I also have experience with a Narcissist and partner, and I was initially so confused, shocked and saddened by the behaviour.
It took me so long, of initially laughing, then drawing attention, then getting irate and telling them, then losing it,until it became a war, before finally reacting in what I think was the best way
    .
I removed them from my life, suddenly my family's days were brighter, no more horrific arguments,no nasty encounters, no sobbing so hard and not being able to stop, no more questioning myself all the time,no more waking and the first thing felt was the stomach drop feeling of dread, knowing I would encounter them.
It doesn't work for everyone, but I do know that when I just stopped communicating with them, their behaviour got worse, so much so that people approached me and expressed concerns.
That makes me think that the attacking of the Royal family is an indication, of a Narcissist being ignored.
Harry and wife seem to be making bigger, stranger and more desperate claims the more the Royal family don't react.
Sadly I don't know the outcome of this behaviour, but I know my family are happier, and "the couple" still have major dramas going on every other day, involving more and more people, who are approaching me to tell me they no longer spend time with them.I
Anyway Thank you for this episode, I believe it was really accurate.
