I am from Slovakia, I lived in Derby in 2013/2014, then I left UK and returned home. I really appreciate your video its really nostalgic for me to see the streets and shops around, nice town. :) Maybe one day I will come back as a tourist. :)
Exactly 1 year ago, I was waiting just outside the mall entrance with my camping gear, smoking a cigarette, and wondering whether I should go to Castle Donnington for Download festival or not, since I had been told by a mall employee and some more people that many had returned from the festival due to being unable to camp there as rains had destroyed the place. I waited in the cold, then fortunately my AirBNB lady allowed me to use her couch since all the rooms were taken. Apart from that I have a memory of walking all alone towards the AirBNB at 4am in the morning, with no internet and only pictures of the maps saved, only to be picked up by a Pakistani gentleman who was on his way to drop his son to school. He then dropped me to my accommodation, and made sure I was safely admitted before he left. A lot of other fond memories from Derby.
Well, it's not as good as it was in the fifties, when I was at school in Derby. Ah, the good old Joseph Wright Art School on Babington Lane. Good times.
@@brendengoodwin my main reason was I really didn’t like the city. Apologies if you’re from derby but the city is so small, dull and boring. I really didn’t like how small the university was either, it’s just one building basically. There’s loads more reasons as well but those were the main points. On top of that, I really, really wasn’t enjoying my course.
Is it just me or are there more blond people in Derby? I'm from SE England and most people down here have brown hair, but when I went to Derby I saw a lot of blond and blue eyed people!
One of the best engineering towns in the UK, Rolls Royce, Bombardier, Toyota, the industrial revolution and fucking Laura Croft, don't ever say we are thick.
