St. Mary's Bridge - On a ghost walk, by Richard Felix, he said that Sherwood Forest was just the other side of the bridge, and that the bridge was a toll bridge, there was a small 'window' in the church where you would pay to cross the bridge.

1955 Image, centre of image is a small office just to the right of the telephone box. Bus timekeepers office and a man named Jack styles was the time keeper, quite an unpleasant individual.
