Mostly the chip has to be right on the money where the key head sits in the on or off position like Mike did. Placing it under the dash is usually to far away. Easy to test just get a spare key cut ( which will unlock doors) and use it to crank the ignition with your chipped key close by and see what happens.

I like your ideal, but would rather not remove from key, old key doesn't have key fob, new key does.
This is used 2010 Nissan Titan, buying keys from Amazon and programming the fob is easy on a Titan, but starting vehicle requires programmed key, that deal told me $170 each.

Someone else posted you will need to test. Some ignitions are particular about the location of the chip and some just need to be near the ignition.

Not a bypass. You removed the chip from the key and placed it by the antenna ring. Yes this can be done but if the chip falls out, you better hope you can find it lol. Sad but many people do indeed do this to avoid transponder keys. You have to be sure that the chip cannot fall out though. If it does fall out you will have to have to have another chipped programmed which can cost a couple of hundred bucks. In order to program you have to do a computer hook up to create a new chipped key.

If I had the chip I wouldn’t need to bypass I would just get a spare I need to know how to use the spare that doesn’t have the chip

A screw driver and a hammer. Or a drill first then a screwdriver. It's as difficult as any other car. Chipped keys should've never been invented

So basically you just made your car very easy to steal , good work , would you rather spend 80 bucks or buy a new car , at least you keep auto thieves working , without you they would have nothing to do.
