- Today's Lego Star Wars review is on the 2014 75058 MTT, the last MTT set we have gotten at the time of making this review. At ten years since the last version, a lot of people were hoping one would be released for the 25th Anniversary of the Phantom Menace, but now it looks like if you want an MTT this is the best option so far.

love Legos inconsistency when it comes to lighter prints on darker pieces. Cmdr Fox looks atrocious, Mercy from 75975 straight up needs a replacement head to look presentable, but the Captain America guy from the Quinjet I picked up for parts on clearance looks fine, his head is skin color printed on dark blue

I recently bought the 2000 MTT. Classic set, especially love it because it was in the Lego games. As a whole I'd say all three models are great in their own unique way.

The reason Lego can't make lighter colors printed on darker plastic work is because to do so would mean they would have to do multiple coats of printing which, with the way Lego prints their parts and the number of pieces the produce daily, is literally impossible for them to do. Custom companies can do it because of the fact that they produce massively smaller batches of prints compared to Lego, which in turn means they're able to add multiple coats of lighter printing. I agree that it doesn't look good, but there is literally nothing they can do about it.
Then why wasn’t it an issue in the 90’s when the company was worth less back then? Why would that be literally impossible to add multiple coats when everything is assembled on a factory line? How is it literally impossible to not just rework the assembly line to add a second or third coat when the print dries in 5-10 seconds allowing for another print to be placed on top? If that’s LEGO’s excuse I refuse to believe it. a company worth that much can afford to do basic color matching on pad printed parts

I disagree. I own three of these sets, and I really like it. Yes, it's a lot smaller than the '07 version, but it's still a really nice set in its own right.
It's a downgrade from the 2007 MTT but it's still a decent set.
@@CloneCommanderCrater1102 Honestly, I would even rather this over the 07 version. That might sound crazy, but I like the more modern look and the modern techniques they use. The older one looks a bit too blocky for me.
@@tabletopstudios66 I can agree with that. This version of the MTT definitely has some really good shaping and details that were a bit lacking on the '07 version.
