The Chucky alive scene was a roller coaster in the theater. People were screaming and laughing. Until that point in movies we'd never seen (or heard) killer dolls like that. Lol. It felt like history in the making. Still an exciting sequence.

Something important to keep in mind: Chucky still has full adult strength. That's why he can overpower people despite being a doll. Imagine having to fight something two feet tall that can hide easily and is also as strong as an adult man in good shape.
Would be a nightmare.

I watched the movies after the series and it really does feel strange to watch all of the franchise after 😭✋
I love the whole thing but it’s pretty much comedy after this movie lol
The same man who created chucky has made all the movies (except the remake they asked him to put his name in the credits with no actual input on the remake so he declined) and tv show, Don Mancini created my favourite horror icon and still continues to make it awesome. The mom and detective Mike got married after this and after she got out of the mental ward.
I just realized today that Aunt Maggie is Marty from Grease 🤯
I can never get enough Chucky in my life honestly, I've already rewatched this movie at least 10 times

Child's play 1 - 3 are my absolute favorite 😍 there's just something about the first one though that's eerie and darker than the other ones
This was one of the first horror movies that really scared me as a kid, too! I don’t think I’ve seen any of the other movies so I’m excited to watch you guys react to them!
And when you’re done, you should give Channel Zero a shot. It’s a really fast watch, super creepy, SyFy original that’s on shudder. Give the first season, Candle Cove a shot! I know y’all would fall in love with that series. It’s a real hidden gem😱😱😱

Lovely reaction as always! I really wish they kept the metamorphosis that Chucky goes as he becomes more human. Like he goes from the cute doll look with the mop top hair to looking like Jack Nicholson with a widow's peak. Also Apparently he barely strangled anyone according to Devon in the first season of Chucky.
Definetely in the top 3 of the best horror franchises everrrr.
The second one is just as good as this one. Cant wait!

This is one of my favorite childhood horror movies and its most definitely a franchise that always kept me having nightmares 😂😂 the older I got the shit was just intense and funny. Great reaction you guys. ❤

I saw this in college the week it was released in '88. A friend and I were worn out from school and work and so went to Pizza Hut and then to see a midnight show. The audience was huge and very rowdy in a good way. When Hicks goes to look under the couch after Chucky falls on the floor and rolled under, it was dead silent in the theater...then some guy down in front yelled, "Don't look under the couch you dumb b*$tch!!" To this day that night was the most fun I've ever had in a theater...and that includes a "Grease" sing-along and many showings of "Rocky Horror"!

I’m crying 🥺🥺🥺 so much my mom showed me Child’s Play and ever since I Watched all the movies both Seasons of the Tv series and STILL LOVE Chucky to this day thanks to her, I miss her so much so whenever I see anything Chucky I think of mom.

Fun fact:
I used to have a good guy doll, or whatever the version was called. My older sister made me watch this movie in the middle of the night when she was babysitting me, and I was so f*kng scared I wouldn’t sleep in my room. The very next morning, I took my “chucky” doll and gave it to my dog where he then proceeded to rip it to shreds!! I loved him so much for that. Also… my mom was so p.o.’d that I destroyed an expensive toy, but she was even more mad at my sister for letting me watch the movie and scaring me with such visceral terror! 😂
This movie really is about the dangers of being a single mother in the city. Catherine Hicks deserved the Oscar.
