Andy and Kyle are everything. I'm so glad the show had them in it. Spent basically my whole life wanting to see them together again.
Chucky being cleaned and put back together, is on the level of satisfaction of woody being cleaned up by the professional in Toy Story 2.

Apparently Catherine Hicks and the guy who played Mike were supposed to be in the beginning of Child's Play 2, but the writer scrapped it because they wanted to go in a different direction. The lack of closure drives me crazy, especially because these movies are heavy on the premises of sticking together and caring for each other like family, especially the show.
We at least get a little bit in the easter egg scene from curse. We get to know she's well and with Mike. I'd love to see her come back though in the series

There were many rumours about Andy’s mum. But they decided to take the story in a different direction (this one) and she was fine with it. When they originally began writing, it was meant to start with her being sentenced to the mental institution but it never got filmed and she frequently visited the set since her husband worked on it
That's an absolute Mandela effect because I thought we hear in the movie that she's in an institution

I missed Catherine Hicks in this movie too. Looked it up and it looks like the director “wanted to take the story in a new direction”.
It's nice to know there's no ill feelings there or that she didn't want to come back because it was "beneath her". Just simple storytelling and she was still on set quite a bit.
I remember the scene with the Yardstick made me feel some type of way as a kid 🥵 That was one of the earlier times in my life that I realised I may not be right in the head 😂

Actually, nothing leads to Kyle. The mom looks like suicide because her hands are free, there's no sign of struggle. Likely, the cops may think she pushed the husband down the stairs and took her own life. Kyle and Andy are simply missing. There's nothing tying her to Andy's orphanage. He was picked up late at night, there's likely no record of him being transferred back already. Someone pulled an alarm, the kids left, the lady was killed - may appear like an attempted burglary. No cameras. Do we know that Kyle and Andy even bothered to stay in town? Kids that slipped through the cracks of the orphan system.
@33:40.....probably my favorite quote in the whole franchise. Chucky is petty, Chucky kills his victims with no remorse and gets pleasure from it but he can also make you laugh and shake your head, lol

I swear I must be the only one who thought Andy is not the one chucky needed to transfer into in this movie. My theory always was that it was supposed to be grace since she got told the name when chucky was on the phone calling to get info about where Andy was. But then again we wouldn’t have gotten the grand finale of the Toy factory if it was that easy

As someone who can watch this movie 10 times a day cuz it’s that good to me, i always wondered what could’ve happened to them after. Like what did police do when they found Joanne? Did they take Andy and Kyle back into custody? I always wanted to know what led them to to their lives as we know from the Chucky series which they don’t really touch on that at all. We only know Andy went to Kent Academy and actually graduated from there. I’m more interested in kyle’s story 100%. In general I am one of those people lol

i think my favorite scene from this film was the doll factory scene. Chucky gets f*cked up better than he did in part . you're right on his final look after he got the worse wax job of his life and then some overkill botox...or should i say air tox. he looked exactly like a garbage pail kill before his head exploded, Stinky? i think was the name of the character. like stinky's handicapped blade handed cousin lol.

Well, from what I’ve been able to find online the reason why Andy’s mother didn’t come back was because the writer of the film wanted to take the movie in a different direction

Also funfact, there was a doctor's office on my way to school growing up that had both a chucky and a good guy doll in the window. little 5-11 year old me started and ended each day being jump scared by those stupid flipping dolls
pretty sure the the actress who plays andy’s mom married the guy who worked on the dolls for child’s play so i doubt she got over it so soon after the first one.

We would go to our grandparents house in the summer bc our parents worked and besides my brothers, cousins and I, my mommom also babysat for a couple family friends so there was usually around 12 or 13 kids there so we used to go to the video store near our house a lot and although it wasn’t as big as Blockbuster it was cheaper and we just liked it better, except they would never have all of the movies in a series esp horror and Child’s Play 2 and 3 were the ones we rented the most! 🔪🫣🎃❤
