Andy’s life story is so messed up and heartbreaking. This poor little boy only wanted a toy and instead ended up getting a serial killer hell bent on making his life as miserable as possible by killing everyone he cares about or turning them against him. He was then taken from his mom and put into foster homes, rolled into military school, and could never live a normal adult life. The amount of trauma this kid has endured is insane. Chucky literally ruined his whole life.
Well said! When I finally decided to watch them all , after being deathly terrified of chucky , I realized just how sad Andy's life was! The one thing he wanted so bad for his birthday would end up being his worst nightmare. I had only seen 1 & 2 a couple of times as a kid.....on SPANISH TV. So alot of good stuff was cut out! I love when Chucky loses his 💩 when she threatens to burn him 🤣🤣🤣 Brad Dourif, who voices Chucky, is the heart and soul of these movies. Maniacal, abusive, and more than a little bit bastardly, we all love that little murderous doll. 2 and 3 don't rank as high for me, but the series really pick back up with Bride and Seed.
Just to let you know why Chucky is as strong as a grown man it’s because the voodoo spell he performed which transferred him into the doll let him keep his strength that a grown man has as well as being able to run as fast as grown man despite having short limbs.

Believe it or not, Andy ditching school and riding the L train in Chicago and nobody batting an eye was not out of the norm during the 80’s and part of the 90’s. Baby’s Day Out, Candyman and Child’s Play all took place in Chicago. I really like your reactions, funny and genuine 😅
A lot of people say that little Alex Vincent was actually scared of Chucky, and that his crying wasn't acting, but really he was never scared. He always knew that it was never real and he was just a good kid actor.
Actually there is a correlation between Chucky and Candyman! Both take place in Chicago. When I was a kid and realized they took place where I lived it made me SO much more scared of them lol. Cant wait to see you on the crazy ride that is the Chucky franchise
There's actually a 1975 tv movie called Trilogy of Terror with three horror tales all starring Karen Black where the final story involves an African doll that comes to life and terrorizes a woman in an apartment. It was quite memorable and remained in a lot of kids' minds who saw it as it was very scary. It probably influenced Child's Play.
I have a Chucky doll my mom got me for my birthday! My mom went to Spencers to get it, at first they didn't want to get it down thinking she wasn't going to buy it. My mom went "I'm actually going to buy it, my daughter is a sick freak and she wants it" 😅 My next goal is to get a good looking Tiffany doll, because those are hard to come by.
Chucky said that aunt Maggie was a real bia bia lmao I know that was going to make you laugh.. this movie brings back so many memories. I can’t even look at the detective without thinking of his vampire role in Fright Night 😂 He was no Edward that is for sure. Lol
30:45 has always been the scariest moment in the whole series to me. Like there's scary stuff in all of them but with a layer of camp, almost always...but THAT moment was just terrifying.
The Vudu guy told Chucky that the longer he stays in the body the more he becomes human so yeah as the movie progresses he slowly becomes more and more human like. In later films they kind of dropped the humanoid features detail but he still gets more and more anatomically correct
There actually was a toy in the late 80's that was about a 6-8 year old's height, was able to turn her head, talk, recognize your voice, and blink that went by the name of Jill lol! She used several AA and D batteries just to get her movements to function xD
Chucky is so strong because when he went Into the doll he kept his strength like if he was a grown man so he was that tiny doll with grown man speed and strength. Also You have to watch the other movies along with the new tv show that has a season 3 coming out soon. 😂❤
Chucky gave me NIGHTMARES when I was a kid. I had an American Girl doll and I remember locking it in my closet after I discovered what Chucky was. I watched it for the first time last year and I actually enjoyed it a lot but I still don't f with dolls

The reason Chucky looked more Real at the End, the black guy who introduced him to voodoo explained he said “The more time you spend in that body the more human you become” so you can see his eyes changed, his hairline recede, his teeth were rotten and his human strength increased. The first Child’s Play is the best one , he never looked more real through the Franchise.
This film, man. It makes me cry every time. Andy didn’t deserve all that trauma. I just wanna scoop the poor kid up in my arms and tell him it’s gonna be ok. 😢
The actress who played Maggie was looking to win an Oscar with her dramatic ass fall through that window. First of all the hammer she got hit with was the toys hammer from the Good Guy tool box set...and windows are not that thin for her to walk through like an invisible wall.
People always say how they would iust kick or throw chucky somewhere. But they tend to forget or not know(since maybe they never saw this movie)..hes turning human inside that doll. Thats why his face gets more creepy by the end of the movie. Hes a serial killer so he's not stupid. And he knows people wouldn't believe someone about a doll coming to life.
& also a little person was used for the more human movement scenes on large scaled items and chucky’s face would turn more and more human like the longer he stays in the body 😂
Why is Chucky so strong? He's possessed by a human soul, one very psychotic soul. He may be a doll, but he still possesses the strength of a human male.
Chucky is not really a doll, he's a human in a doll. imagine the strength of a 150 to 200 pound man in a doll the longer he stays the more he becomes human.
Chucky is a man that put his soul into the doll. After the 2nd movie they really don’t focus on him becoming more human or needing somome to know his secret to steal a soul

It's not necessarily that Chucky is a big doll, Andy is only 6(Alex Vincent was actually 7). Alex Vincent is actually a small(in size) actor, he's currently my age 42 or 43 and he is about 5'1", 5'2" or 5'3".
to answer your question it was in fact not quite fully an animatronic. the doll has the innards of one but it was mostly puppet. the dolls movements, facial expressions and stunts were preformed by multiple techs controlling each part remotely. this was very impressive and intense for the time because of how much time and money it took
My cope as a kid was always that doll is the size of my stuffed animals and i do wrestling moves on them, bam elbow drop off the bed, why am i still talking like a kid when I'm methusala Mcgee over here lol, that's the wildest nickname I gave me since Ernest Himmingway, thats just cuz I type up whole novels with a comment but I promise i retire that name here lol, anyway love this franchise
I noticed you said why does chucky look different and is changing throughout the movie. That is because he is turning more and more human like the old man said would happen if he remained in the doll. He has to transfer his soul into another body before he turns 100% human or he will remain in the doll forever. Unless...well, I'll let you figure the rest out in the movies after that lmao
Like the black guy said the longer he in the doll body the more human he got, So he started to look more human makes a lot of sense. I thought I was tripping first time I seen it too, And because of this movie I never like spending the night at a friend’s house who sister had dolls 😂😂😂. Anyway loved your video I’m a subscriber for sure, And you’re a beauty I gotta watch you react now 🙂🙂🙂.
I would like to clarify a couple of things about the chant, even though some people may not believe me, probably because the truth is disappointing. I'm a Frenchman who knows a bit of creole (not necessarily Haitian creole, since I've lived in Guadeloupe and not in Haiti, but the different creoles from different French islands tend to share similarities even if they do have specifities). And I can tell that, contrary to what many English-speaking people believe, this chant is not French and is not creole either. It was actually made up by the writers of the first Child's Play movie. It is basically gibberish with some random French words added here and there (like "bois", meaning "wood", "morte", meaning "dead", or "beaucoup" meaning "a lot" in Cult of Chucky). It's meant to sound like French, but it not: it is a fictitious chant. It does have an official translation that you can find in the internet, but it's not based on something real. The only real part is the mention of Damballa, who is an actual Haitian god. The rest is entirely made up. And it's not obvisouly not Creole either. I know how Creole sounds like and it's definitely not like that, no matter what area we're talking about. Now, I know many people won't believe this, and will stubbornly cling to the belief that it's a real chant. I've seen that before. And honestly, I can understand. It's much more fun and thrilling to go on believing it's "maybe real", maybe an actual chant. But it isn't (except, like I said, the Damballa part). For us French people it is pretty obvious what the filmmakers were trying to do here (make up words that vaguely sound French), but I imagine it's not so obvious for English-speaking persons who would easily assume it is real. I hope I managed to help those who wondered what exactly the chant was, regardless what they WANT to think. And for those who wonder: in the French dub of the movies, the chant is the same (it therefore sounds like gibberish), except in Curse of Chucky, in which the translators turn the chant into actual French words ("Je prie les Dieux maléfiques de l'univers d'exaucer ma prière", etc). Voilà ! :)
Hope to see you do them all. And ugh I get so distracted by Chris Sarandon he was beyond attractive as the vamp in fright night. And love him as Jack skellington. BTW its half doll and half ed gale. Hence why he looks so real sometimes Also if ya want good kid horror watch macaulay culkin in the good son
The Getto Boys actually have a song about this movie..it's pretty hilarious. It's called Chuckie. Good Halloween tune. haha, oh and the rapper is actually a little person. RIP Bushwick Bill The actress who plays his mother has one of the best hopeless guttural screams I've ever heard in a horror film when Chucky stabs through the door..it's just so perfect for the situation.

You should definitely keep reacting to the chucky movies and react to the show as well if you want.
27:04 this cracked me up😭😭
I had a kid sister the same year this movie came out. I was 5 years old. After I saw this, we ended up burning her in a sacrificial bonfire.
If you're looking for a creepy doll movie, there's always Annabelle, dolly dearest or Small Soldiers
AHHHH A CHUCKY REACTION? I feel so blessed😇🤪
Fun fact the robot of Chucky was used in Daft Punk’s Technologic music video 😬
When I first saw this I would be scared to sleep cause I'd hear him laughing running around my bed just waiting to stab me with his knife 😞after I wasnt scared but this little bastard never dies
Chucky looks different at the end of the movie because its supposed to symbolize his transformation from doll to human
It's not necessarily that Chucky is a big doll, Andy is only 6(Alex Vincent was actually 7). Alex Vincent is actually a small(in size) actor, he's currently my age 42 or 43 and he is about 5'1", 5'2" or 5'3".
This is my favorite franchise. They even have a tv show now that picks up after the 7th movie, and the third season airs this fall Oct 4.
Thank you so much this made my morning!!!! You are one of kind!
Why does every horror movie kid look like me at that age lol
to answer your question it was in fact not quite fully an animatronic. the doll has the innards of one but it was mostly puppet. the dolls movements, facial expressions and stunts were preformed by multiple techs controlling each part remotely. this was very impressive and intense for the time because of how much time and money it took
I movie I recommend is The World of Kanako, it's such an underrated distubing horror movie that came out in 2014. It's Japanese horror.
Lol! Not you beating up your stuffies like Rigby on Regular Show 🤣🤣🤣 "It'll save your life someday!"
The Boy Ugly Cried Without him🤣😂
kids did that in the 80's parents would let kids go wandering i in the 80;s when i was andy's age i was out in summer 8 am to 9pm every day on my own
I noticed you said why does chucky look different and is changing throughout the movie.
Hence why he looks so real sometimes
Also if ya want good kid horror watch macaulay culkin in the good son
Yes!! Been waiting for this!
The Getto Boys actually have a song about this movie..it's pretty hilarious. It's called Chuckie. Good Halloween tune. haha, oh and the rapper is actually a little person. RIP Bushwick Bill
The actress who plays his mother has one of the best hopeless guttural screams I've ever heard in a horror film when Chucky stabs through the door..it's just so perfect for the situation.
The Good Guy dolls were so cute what u talkin? The contrast between cute and being scary as hell was perfect
8:20 im still like this with my stuffed animals😭
"Hotter than Satan's toenails" was a new one for me. I think Im gonna steal that.
When I hear his threat to the cop just before he does his ritual to go into the doll, I can't help but think of the song Bushwick Bill did Chuckie
That poor child actor must be traumatized
The Andy actor is the cutest kid ever
