    Simplest, most thorough tutorial I could find. I successfully tied this first try.
    Great tutorial. I have looked at dozens of videos and web pages and not one of them could do the simple task of showing how to tie this relatively simple knot. You did. I first learned this knot from the Ashley book years ago but that was like pulling teeth. I needed a simple refresher and you provided it. Kudos.

    Was able to avoid using the first wrap to create the 2nd.
    While cinching up, I moved the knot to the original running end, then tied the 2nd knot, with the joiner cord coming out the middle

    This is a nice video thank you. It does have the issue of stretching loose though with no adjustable beads. I'd love to see this headknot as begler but with adjustable length. My begleris always stretch out eventually over long time, does the paracord keep it's length?

      It may depend on quality a bit, but I think some are supposed to keep length. You might want to consider kevlar cord, or other cord (like climbers cord?) specifically stating minimal or no stretch.
      A challenge I have found is many projects like this one NEED the cord used to be able to flatten, and most cords that don't stretch so don't flatten much.
      I don't know if that would be actually be the case for this or similar, though. I'm pretty new to this craft.
      Good luck!
      Edit: OH! There's paracord whose inner strands have some "non-stretch" lengths I think. So for the 550 I've found a few types where 3 of the 7 inner strands were ... metal? I think? Something very less stretchy, I know. Just a thought!

    how would you do the last stitching step without a fid

    • @TheWeaversofEternity
      @TheWeaversofEternity  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm.. might be hard without a fid as the micro cord is very thin. I don't think you can do it without one unfortunately.

    So many times i tie these knot up to the end with 2 finished ends and 6' in between. I pull that last 1/4 ' through to tuck in the unsightly burnt end and end up with 7' for the attachment cord. 😠

  • @farleeyC

    What size bearing is it

    • @Cyynster
      @Cyynster 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Farley Costa I’m assuming 1/2” bearings as he mentioned you could use a marble and that is the typical size for marbles, as well as 1/2” is the smallest bearing size he sells on his site.

    Hey, I've made a begleri with this knot (learned from your channel, the celtic slammer) about 5 years ago and I've been playing ever since. I used a smaller 1cm steel ball for short game, plays super fast. Here's a link: ibb.co/Qr2BJwG
    I'm gonna try this design for long game with a bigger bead! Thanks!
